Worst experience ever I bought used BMW X5 from Schaumburg Toyota on June 22, 2019. I paid full amount and no financing. The dealership didn't do any inspection on the vehi I bought used BMW X5 from Schaumburg Toyota on June 22, 2019. I paid full amount and no financing. The dealership didn't do any inspection on the vehicle before giving it to me. As per FTC, dealership is required to give buyer's guide also. I reported oil leak and various other issues within 2 hours of purchase. They said as per Illinois Law, I have 15 days to report issues on used car so take vehicle back and give them consolidated list of issues. After 8 days, I submitted picture of engine light, gasket issue, compressor issue and various others. They took my BMW X5 and told me that their service staff hourly rate is high so instead of fixing it at their service center, they sent it to JC's auto care in Schaumburg. JC's auto care kept it for 2 months and within those 2 months, JC's reported to me that my BMW X5 is dead. It cannot even get started anymore. I reported to Schaumburg Toyoya and later I got a call from Mr. Joe Shoemaker ( General manager or Sales ) on July 24, 2019 and he acknowledged that BMW X5 is not working at all. He said we can trade-in that vehicle for you and get you a new vehicle from our inventory or fix this vehicle. I told him that it makes no sense to do patch work on it because it will be reported on CARFAX and the vehicle value will go down 70% within a month of purchase. I went to Schaumburg Toyota. The used car manager was on different page. He said if we trade in your vehicle, we will not give you full money. You will lose money on your vehicle considering it's current condition. I told him that condition is because of you and not me. After I showed him Attorney general's web page on used car and spoke to Secretary of State police in front of him, he said he will talk to General manager and get back to me. After 3 weeks, I got a call that BMW X5 is ready for pick up. I told them who told you to fix it. It has to be replaced with a different vehicle. They said it was decided by general manager. I picked my BMW X5 and right outside Schaumburg Toyota service center, it was making loud noise and oil leak. I immediately reported to Mr. Chris who is general manager. He said we spent enough on this vehicle now it is your problem. After argument he said take it to JC's they should fix it. I told him that you guys have to take it not me. He said nothing he will do about it. I have to take it to JC's only. I had a fracture and I was going from Schaumburg Toyota and JC's auto care. After I went to JC's they told me that sorry we are not capable of fixing BMW issues. It would be better if BMW service center looks at it. BMW dealership quoted $18,000 to fix it. I informed sales person named James from whom I bought this vehicle and he just walked away. I paid full cash for this BMW X5. After 4 months, I didn't receive title so I reported to them. Their finance department screwed title also. The title had lien on Schaumburg Toyota instead of me even though there was no financing. I tried to trade in my BMW X5 at Patrick BMW Schaumbug and bought new BMW X3. The patrick BMW gave me inspection report before I can take vehicle. They told me that their BMW X3 has minor oil leak so I should get a different vehicle. This was expected from Schaumbug Toyota too. I cannot trade in my BMW X5 to Patrick BMW as Schaumburg Toyota has still not given my vehicle title. Mr. Robert said he will dispatch it within a week. The trade-in value will be 90% less than the price I paid to Schaumburg Toyota even though I have hardly driven this vehicle. Summary: Neither sales person, finance department or manager handled the situation properly. I am now going to lose all money within 4 months out of which 2 months the vehicle was at JC's auto care, Schaumburg, IL. Only Mr. Joe Shoemaker was somewhat helpful so I have given one star. More

We stopped at this Toyota dealership on our way home and it turned out to be the best decision for us. Every single person that helped us that day was so kind and patient. There was no sense of being cornered or bullied into something that wasn't right for our family. We had been given exceptional service and will now refer everyone that we know who is looking for a new vehicle to stop here first. Seems like saying "Thank you" to everyone that helped us that day just wasn't enough. Stop in and ask for Zaya Ochana. More

Brake system repair I contacted Schaumburg Toyota to discuss error messages that arose after repairing the rear brakes on my 2008 Highlander Hybrid. Was transferred to Ra I contacted Schaumburg Toyota to discuss error messages that arose after repairing the rear brakes on my 2008 Highlander Hybrid. Was transferred to Randy who listened carefully to my description of repair work I had completed myself on the rear brakes, including replacement of the right rear rotor, and caliper assembly, as well as repeated bleeding of both rear brake assemblies. Agreed to bring the vehicle in, which I did in the evening toward the end of Randy's shift, and Randy met and discussed the repair with me, and inspected parts I had removed, showing that the right rear caliper was frozen and not working prior to my replacing it. Initially Randy was going to have the morning crew start on the repair, but then decided that he would oversee the repair himself when he came in the next day, as he had detailed knowledge of the situation. He explained that the initial charge would be $138 to diagnose the problem, which would be applied to the repair. I agreed, but explained that due to my wife leaving town with our other car, I needed the car back by 1:00 PM at the latest. He said he couldn't guarantee .that as he didn't start until about that time the next day, so instead he offered a loaner for my use without charge so I didn't have to worry about when the repair would be complete. He called me the next day before 1:00 and told me the car was ready, and the charge was only $138 plus a small charge for supplies. I came in shortly thereafter to pick up the car, checked the brakes which worked perfectly and all error messages had been cleared. This was an exceptionally pleasant experience, and is typical of the service and satisfaction I have had with Schaumburg Toyota since purchasing our two Toyotas there in 2006, and 2008. I have and will continue to recommend your service to others. You have consistently produced quality and timely service for me, and have entirely changed my perception of dealership service - prior to having cars serviced at Schaumburg Toyota I would never take a car back to a dealer for service except for warranty coverage. I now come back consistently with confidence that I will be treated fairly and repairs will be done reliably. Thank you again for another exceedingly positive experience, and special thanks to Randy for listening and valuing my input to the problem, and taking personal interest in seeing it through. More
