Sales Manager Terry did not use high pressure tactics during negotiations and we came to a fair deal. Best of all when we had a problem programming our 2015 CRV's garage door opener to be compatible with our garage their New Car Delivery Specialist, Mike Lis, came to our home and solved the problem in less than five minutes. Mr. Lis took the time to do this even though our car is a 2015 Honda Certified SUV and not brand new. Really if someone is looking for a car buying experience that is pleasant rather than painful we highly recommend this dealership. More

Hidden Options I requested a car quote online and was assigned to Scott Carson. That was fine, we communicated via email and he tried calling. Scott kept wanting for me to come in, but I'm busy and wanted to only visit the dealer when I was assured a deal was in place. The car I wanted was in stock and Scott was willing to match the lowest price I found plus gave me some solid quotes on the accessories I wanted. After having everything in writing, I told Scott it all sounded good. Even though it was a Saturday night, Scott really wanted me to come and finalize the deal, which was fine. He said my wife could come in later and sign the paperwork since she was unavailable...great. I get there, Scott had the car pulled-up ready to go. We talked a few minutes and that's when it started...typical car salesman BS. It was as though you were in a training video on salesman up selling. Scott and I talked, I wrote down the numbers. He would leave to go talk with his manager and see if it was good. He then quoted me one of the accessories I was looking at. Again, had to go check with his manager. Came back and as he sits down and leans back he drops the "there's already several accessories already on the car and it's like another $800." I said that's too bad, kind of laughed, and walked out. His examples of mud flaps and wheel locks was a joke. You can take a wheel lock off with a single nut in under a minute. If he really wanted to sell the car, he'd either have said something from the get go or figured out a way to take the stuff off the car. Scott's "out the door" price was a total shame. None the less, learning experience for me. I now ask if any accessories are added when I talk about the car I'm looking to buy. I ultimately found an even better price and a dealer that didn't jerk me around. I had money and a desire to buy a car, they were interested in selling one so we both closed quickly. I would not recommend Scott to anyone or this dealer since it appears they add accessories or options to their cars, but it's not transparent to customers. More

Treated like this after 8 years?? I've been coming to Schaumburg Honda since I bought my Civic 8 years ago. First, I was told that for my 8:30 oil change appointment, my car would be ready at 10. 90 minutes for an oil change?!?! You've GOT to be kidding. Then, I asked if they could weld my tailpipe back to my muffler and was advised that they "don't weld here." Don't weld?? What kind of a car repair shop won't weld? I said that's fine, I'll go to down the street for that. But when my car was finished, the service advisor had the nerve to quote me an all new exhaust system for $700!! Their competition finished the job Schaumburg Honda wasn't able to for $165. Good riddance! More
