So dec 29th we went in to look at a vehicle they had and everything went downhill from there.! The vehicle abs and brake light were on and the sales guy demitri said it was no big deal and that it happens everything went downhill from there.! Funny thing buying a car that you need fixed but it was what I wanted so we signed and paid the 700.00 down payment. On the drive home the car was definitely in need of a lot of work so the next day we called demitri to ask if we could just get our money back. He said the trade in was gone and we had to keep the car all sales final and no dealership would ever give back your money after you sign the papers. After numerous calls to different departments I got my trade back and just had to wait for the refund they said would take 3 business days. Still haven’t gotten the money and no one will answer calls, emails, or text messages. Horrible experience and all other dealerships I contacted after cannot believe this dealership did this. As a mechanic I tell everyone I come I’m contact with all day that Honda of Schaumburg is a very dishonest place . Buyer beware More

I bought 2017 Honda civic ex on 10/15/2020, at this dealership. Car has safety issue, its risky to drive, its certified and not getting fixed form dealership. Car was listed as certified on websit dealership. Car has safety issue, its risky to drive, its certified and not getting fixed form dealership. Car was listed as certified on website. on paper car had 36 k miles. but as I was told from salesman, it had couple hundred more miles. When I checked car had 40,300 miles on odometer, but because of price I was happy, we negotiated for 17k $ out of door, whit tax, license and etc. Complain- 1) Salesman Dimitar- He told me that car wasn’t certified and it was mistake on website. He just told me that they are big reputable company and car is inspected. Fact is that car is certified as I received paper from Honda after 1 month of purchasing. Complain- 2) person who did finance, advised me to get extended warranty. I agreed because as I mentioned in my first complain I was not told that car already had that warranty as it was certified. I signed all documents as I knew price. When I checked It was 19 k instead of our deal at 17 k. I showed that to the person and he suddenly got mad and tried to explain me that it was interest fee, but I pointed him that interest fee was different and with-it price was getting 21k. So, he took papers back, changed price as we negotiated but seemed even more mad and almost yelled, that now I have no warranty anymore, which appeared that I anyway had. Main complaint: my car has major safety issues. After driving of30-40 minute, roughly 20-mile, steering wheel gets: sticky, notchy and stiff. especially on highway speed car is not responding properly, steering wheel is getting sometimes super loosie (after slightest touch I don’t know on what side car will pull, steering wheel won't come back to center and needs overcorrecting) and sometimes is super hard like stone. I have been to dealership 4 times to fix that problem.i was told that it was alignment issue and technician took short test drive with me. Even though that I told him that I just did alignment he still stayed on his position and fixed it as he told me, but problem stayed. Second time they did again alignment and checked suspension, they told me that suspension is good there is nothing loose and its now good. Again, problem was still there. Third times they updated steering sensor and again checked car and of course told me that car is good, even more they literally told me that I don’t know how to drive and I need to used to it. after that I wanted to talk to general manager, or at least most responsible person in company., but had a feeling that I was in a trap, as never reached responsible person. then I talked to service manager. I asked him some of his guys to drive on highway with me about 10-20 mile to prove that car is not good and its dangerous, he avoided that. Told me: he understands me and, agrees me that it is might steering rack or steering gearbox problem but he can't do much about it, as he can't give me 30 minutes for test drive after I wasted 17 k dollars and 3 months because of them. Resume. I don't recommend this Schaumburg Honda to anyone, even to a gambler, Couse in my mind there is better odds to get good car, professional stuff and normal service in any corner dealership. More
