I don't usually write negative reviews because it can affect people's jobs and their ability to provide for their families. We bought a new 2016 Explorer from this dealer and have nothing but problems r affect people's jobs and their ability to provide for their families. We bought a new 2016 Explorer from this dealer and have nothing but problems right from the beginning. We had a rear bearing fixed in the 1st and 3rd years of the vehicle. Even though we pull a 3500-4000 LB boat the Explorer is rated to toe 5000 pounds so I know that my towing can cause wear and tear on the shocks, springs, transmission, etc. This year we have had a problem with a light going off all summer and our vehicle has been in to the dealer 3 times to fix it. The first time we were charged $1300 for a transmission part and the light went off a week later. Had the vehicle in again and they said they couldn't find any problems so we took it home. A week later while NOT towing the light goes off again, This time they had our vehicle for 6 WEEKS and finally did something because the Ford rep pretty much forced them to. The only reason anything was done was because we called a Ford rep and asked Ford to look into our case. The Ford rep was in constant contact with us and the dealer. She mentioned to us that the dealer wouldn't pick up or call her back. The Ford dealer rarely called us back any of the 3 times they had our vehicle. We had to constantly call them to get any response which would come after days of calling them. Then the Ford rep tells us that the Ford dealer told her( and was in our file) that we never got back to them and we were hard to reach which is a TOTAL LIE. It was the exact opposite. Talk about TERRIBLE customer service, it's the worst I have seen in my life and I'm 60 years old. I can see why this dealer has a 2 out of 5 stars for their rating on line. I know we have issues with COVID, jobs, the economy, etc. I'm a CPA turned Math/Special ed teacher. I'm very realistic about things and don't like to complain or get people in trouble for no reason or my own personal pleasure. I didn't want to fill in this review but they keep sending it to me so I went for it. The service department at Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Ford is terrible. Per my experience they lie and make up stuff and probably charge you for things you don't need. I would never buy a vehicle from them again or recommend them to anyone. Sorry, but that is my opinion. I do feel that they go above and beyond to try to determine what the problem is and have always been honest about o received for any of my cars here.
