Brought vehicle in for oil/filter change and other maintenance services. When I got home checked oil level, found that oil level was way above dipstick full mark. ( not readable on dipstick indicato maintenance services. When I got home checked oil level, found that oil level was way above dipstick full mark. ( not readable on dipstick indicator). When I delivered my vehicle for service I specifically discussed not to overfill the crankcase with my advisor. After i found out about the overfill, contacted the advisor and his response was interesting: “ your vehicle calls for 3.7 quarts 4 quarts was added cause it is hard to put exactly .7 tis only .3 over that will do nothing to the vehicle. every time you come here it will be like that. its impossible to put 3.7 in the vehicle, we use jugs here with quart numbers on the side so to get it perfect is impossible“. Honda calls out 3.7 quarts and Schaller, a Honda dealer, find it impossible to meet the manufacturers specifications? Honda trained technicians find it “ almost impossible “ to meet the manufacturers specifications? The last 3 oil services I had at Schaller, oil overfill was never an issue, guess I was lucky. Later I asked Daniel if Honda approved such an overfill, guess what …. has not responded. The absolute minimum I would have expected from Schaller was for them to offer for me to bring the vehicle in so that they could adjust the oil level so that it was at least readable on the dipstick. ( This would still cost me at least 1.5 hours of my travel time to resolve their issue). Moot point, offer was not made. Bought an oil pump from Amazon, sucked out almost 20 ounces. Now I can see the oil is ~1/2 inch above the official full mark on dipstick. 20 ounces and still over mark …. So did he allow the engine to drain completely … or not change the filter? Going on a week that I formally complained ….. not a peep from anyone in Schaller. So much for customer satisfaction. More
