I made a online appointment on Monday for a Thursday appointment. When I arrived at my scheduled time I sat with advisor Joe M. He looks in his computer and says you don’t have an appointment today. I said yes I do. He said what did you make it online? If so you have to call and confirm it. I said that strange because I received 3 confirmation emails and a text message confirming my appt and nothing said I need to call to confirm. Joe says since you are here early I should be able to get you in. Like he was doing me some type of favor. When I walked to my car with him to explain the issues with my Escalade I felt joe was barely paying attention to what I was saying. When we sat back down I mentioned I have a aftermarket warranty. Joe looks at me and says if it’s not a GM warranty I don’t deal with it. I don’t have time to call up a warranty company for them to haggle with me about the repairs. I was stunned because last time I went to this dealership they took my warranty. I dropped off my car and received a call from joe about an hour and a half later. He tells me what they found and said he will try to have the car ready by 4pm. I waited for a call that the repairs were done. I received a call at 4:30 from a women asking if I was picking up my car. I said no one called me to say the repairs were completed. She said sorry about that. I said well I’ll come now to get it. The women said well we are closing now so you will have to come tomorrow. What! You call me as your closing. So now I have to take time off work again to come get my car because your terrible service advisor joe m couldn’t call me to say my car was ready not to mention he was too lazy to call the warranty company for repairs that all should have been covered. I now have to try to ask the warranty company to cover the repairs after the fact. So more of my time wasted because of a poor service advisor. Honestly I don’t know why Cadillac even gives this guy a paycheck. He is a terrible unfriendly face of the company who is too lazy to do his job. If I acted like he does at my customer service job I would be removed from my position. I suggest Cadillac do the same as he is a horrible employee who is just chasing customers away. I now know to never ever return to this dealership. In a few months I will be in the market for a new Escalade. I certainly know where not to go. That is sarant Cadillac. Follow up: had error stating automatic collision prep reduced when starting the car. Also adaptive cruise control was not working. Was charged $1800 for new sensors because front camera shorted it out. Received the car back and still get the same error message when starting and adaptive cruise control still doesn’t work. Researched the error my self and found this is most often caused by a misaligned sensor or change to the grill, not a bad sensor. Check gm doc id 4291698. The grill on my car was changed to a 2018 black grill and that is most likely the cause of this error. Not a bad sensor as diagnosed by the dealer. So I wasted $1800 for a dealer to just be a parts changer instead of actually diagnosing the problem. If the sensor was actually bad I would not intermittently see the green car for the collision avoidance system. After sensor was changed I still only intermittently see the green car. Not to mention the mechanic left greasy hand prints on the fender and side of bumper when the bumper was put back on. Terrible terrible service. More
