The service and personnel at SM-BMW were awesome, especially Cristal Pablo. I am working with them on the check engine light that popped on after getting the vehicle serviced. I am sure this will get resolved as it may just reset after driving the vehicle around for a while. The service department kept me updated as to what they recommend that be done and send me a video to show as proof. The loaner car was a nice perk when the car was in the shop for repairs. I will definitely go back to SM-BMW and recommend them to anyone in the area who operates a BMV. I will also consider them as a place to get a gently used BMW as my next vehicle. Thank you all! Dealership did not provide timely updates on my vehicle. They did not have loaner cars even though they had my car over 4 days. I picked up my car and the same issue was occurring so it went back in the sho They did not have loaner cars even though they had my car over 4 days. I picked up my car and the same issue was occurring so it went back in the shop again. They used to have car washes and I asked why it was not washed and they said it was broken. I had to ask a lot of questions just to get answers. Very poor service! More

This was my first time in and not the best experience. I made an appointment because the check engine light came on in our 5 months old X3. At drop off, I was told they probably would not get to it befo I made an appointment because the check engine light came on in our 5 months old X3. At drop off, I was told they probably would not get to it before tomorrow. What? Then why didn’t they have me bring it in on a day when they could work on it? The next day I receive a video from a technician showing a hose was loose and that now all was okay with the car. That was it. So I called and asked to speak with Shane, my service person and was told he was not in that day. I asked if the car was ready and she then asked me if I received notice it was ready. I said, “no, just received a video.” She said that’s strange. Then she looked and said it was ready. I then asked her if there was a quote for a replacement key fob in the paper work. Shane has said he would get a quote and let me know the day before but I didn’t hear from him. She said there was no quote and transferred me to parts. I also needed a front license plate bracket installed because the car was delivered to us without a bracket for the plate. The BMW guy from Long Beach said, “sorry, we missed that - just take it to your local dealer and they’ll put one on for you.” Shane said he would have to charge me $90 and to get one from Long Beach. That seemed insane. So then I called Long Beach and they fed-exed one to me. I asked Santa Monica BMW if they could please put the bracket on while the car was in the shop and that I would bring them the one that Long Beach shipped to me. They said no. That’s stupid. So now I have to bring the car back to get it put on. Lastly, when I came to pick up the car, the cashier had no paperwork and said it wasn’t ready. After calling around, it turned out it was ready. Then I had to wait for almost 15 minutes until it was pulled around to me. I expect better from BMW. More
I don’t appreciate your sales personnel trying to charge me for replacing certain things that I don’t need to replace, resulting in a total charge of over $1,000.
