Routinely overbooks appointments. A standard service, I dropped my car at 9AM. At 4:30, I received a text, a video showing me the service, with captions, telling me I needed a new b A standard service, I dropped my car at 9AM. At 4:30, I received a text, a video showing me the service, with captions, telling me I needed a new battery. That's it. No price, no form to accept, no ability to contact the service rep. I called but of course could no reach him - I never can. He called 1 1/4 hours later with an exorbitant price. I accepted anyway and he said it would be done the next day, early. At 1:30pm the next day, I had heard nothing. I called and, of course, could not reach him. The car was not ready until 3:30pm. This is inexcusable service. I will not be returning to SM BMW for service. More

I called many times to make an appointment for a recall on my car. No one to talk with. I got a loaner with a broken windshield and a broken glove box. I got home and notice my wipers are broken! I made an appointment but they made me wait 1 hour, then they proceeded to come out and ask what I was doing in the waiting room. No apology at all or even a "sorry for making you wait" and very rude demean they proceeded to come out and ask what I was doing in the waiting room. I needed to upgrade my windshield wipers and decided to use BMW instead of using Autozone or Amazon. Inside the Santa Monica BMW dealership, the parts associate asked me for my vin. I pulled it up and he w use BMW instead of using Autozone or Amazon. Inside the Santa Monica BMW dealership, the parts associate asked me for my vin. I pulled it up and he went in back to grab the correct part. He gave me the price of $138 including tax. That felt too expensive to me based on my initial search. I tried using the BMW app to verify this price, but didn’t want to hold up the register. I paid for the wiper blades and even installed them myself right out front of the dealership. It took 5 minutes. After I drove away, I typed in the sku# of the blades I purchased. They are currently selling the on the BMW parts website for $56. More than 100% less than I bought them for. I called back to ask them about the huge price discrepancy and basically had no answer. He said that’s the price we charge to compete, but I reminded him that the price I quoted him was from the BMW website. He stumbled on his words and didn’t have anything to add except for sorry. It’s extremely bad business practice to swindle your customers like that without indicating the up charge. I would have been completely fine if they told me ahead of time or even suggested that I buy from the BMW website, but they didn’t. More
