Due to required services not being completed in a timely manner, the engine failure occurred. When you contacted Nissan for assistance, they declined to provide any additional support toward the cost of a new engine for your 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Please note that warranties cover failures resulting from manufacturing defects; however, they do not apply to damage caused by neglect or lack of maintenance. In such cases, the warranty is considered void.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. I was told my engine failure was due to “lack of maintenance,” yet at no point did the vehicle provide any warning, no check engine light, no oil warning, nothing to indicate an issue before the engine completely failed. This is a 2022 vehicle. A catastrophic engine failure without any prior alerts is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the reliability of the vehicle and its monitoring systems. I made a good-faith effort to maintain this vehicle and relied on both the dealership and the vehicle’s built-in systems to indicate when service was required. To be told after the fact that the failure is being blamed on “neglect,” without any clear evidence or prior warning, is frustrating and feels like a way to avoid responsibility. Even more disappointing was the lack of support when I reached out for help. Instead of working toward a resolution, the response was simply that nothing would be covered. I expected better accountability and customer support, especially with a vehicle this new. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this dealership.

Hello Andre, we’re sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the missing key, wiper mechanism, and temporary tag. The dealership guarantees two keys on all new vehicle purchases. In this case, the Audi was sold as a pre-owned vehicle and was provided to us with only one key. If a customer requests an additional key at the time of purchase, we are happy to accommodate by adding the cost of the key and any related repairs to the sale price. As this transaction has already been finalized, we’re unable to do so and therefore had to decline the request. We understand you made a significant investment in a high-end pre-owned vehicle and hope you enjoy it.

As I formerly stated in the beginning, I purchased this vehicle with extensive photos shown/video shown, to include back and forth communication with the salesperson. Not once did the salesperson inform me that two key fobs were not with this vehicle. So how would I know the vehicle did not have a 2nd key fob unless I was told. It was though he intentionally withheld this information. I would have assumed just like any other honest person that a vehicle costing over $64k with only 7000 miles would come with a second key fob. I think it is the responsibility of the salesperson to provide a refund in the amount of what an additional key fob would cost out of my substantial downpayment I made in advance. . This is important because not only is this a security issue - it is about integrity and being honorable. Along with the other issues as back windshield wiper missing and the back temporary tag not arriving with the vehicle as initially agreed. I would think the dealership should be responsible for this and handle this responsibility of my additional key fob. I have since absorbed the cost of the windshield wiper., a nail in the tire upon the initial drop off, but I do not think it is my responsibility to purchase a key fob out of my pocket.
