Spoke with sales rep about the jeep we saw on their website 2 times asking many questions about the vehicle and setup an appointment before heading to the dealership. After driving an hour in half to the dealership the jeep was not there a sales person drove it home. After being at the dealership 3 hours. Finally jeep arrives back to dealership and it is not the same jeep as the one on their website. Same exterior but interior was very different online jeep had a sun roof the jeep brought to us did not. We were told the pictures online were wrong they must have put the wrong interior pictures on the website. However, they did try to sale us another jeep that had the same interior and sunroof as the jeep we went to buy was supposed to have for almost $ 7,000 more than the jeep they had put online. What a disappointment and a wasted drive. Don't take their bait and try to buy a vechicle they have posted on their website. More
Bad experience I bought a used Saturn SUV and paid cash . Told them I wanted everything checked out before I paid for it . Had to take it back the next day after I I bought a used Saturn SUV and paid cash . Told them I wanted everything checked out before I paid for it . Had to take it back the next day after I had paid for an extended warranty. They used my extended warranty for something that should have been fixed before I bought it. Steering column messed up and also fan on radiator making noises, took off the tow bar on it without asking me first. Salesman was very rude and said there was nothing else they could do for me. But he got a paycheck from me buying that car. It goes to show that you think sometimes a dealer might not quite rip u off but they do. I guess because I am a woman. Problem has not been resolved and my steering column is still messed up. The service staff seems to be the only ones that are nice . I told them I was still having problems with the column and they told me to bring it back but now I don't trust that it will be fixed right.i will probably have to take it somewhere else to get the problem resolved. The service staff has been nice but I feel like if I paid cash for something everything should have been fixed before I picked it up. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Beware of them. More
GREAT EXPERIENCE / WORTH THE DRIVE FROM PENSACOLA Had just left a Pensacola Jeep dealer after they low balled us on our trade value and lied to us about USAA pricing. Since this is not a review about Had just left a Pensacola Jeep dealer after they low balled us on our trade value and lied to us about USAA pricing. Since this is not a review about them I'll move on to Gulf Jeep's review: We walked in and were greeted promptly. We told them what we were looking for (I already knew what was on the lot from my online research.) Terry showed us the Jeeps were were interested in. It was refreshing to have a sales person that was knowledgeable about the vehicle he was selling. We then asked for a trade value for my truck and began crunching numbers. No surprise the first number they came back with was lower than I wanted. They were lower on my trade that I thought it should be. The price of the Jeep was good though. After my counter offer (which was pretty low to be honest) Paul came over and talked to me about my trade value. I told him about my research and he showed me what they had. We came to an agreement on the trade value very quickly. The trade value given this time was right in line with what I thought it should be. At the end of the day we got an amazing deal on the Jeep using USAA pricing, active duty military cash allowance, and a mailer coupon for cash allowance I received. To seal the deal they even added one more dealer installed option at cost. It was worth the 20 mile drive from Pensacola to visit Terry and Paul at Gulf Chrylser Jeep in Foley Alabama. How much was it worth? I got $3,000 more for my trade and paid $1,400 less for the Jeep compared to the Pensacola Jeep dealer's price. The 30 minute drive saved me $4,400. (and they never lied to me as the Pensacola dealer did.) If you are in Pensacola, or anywhere in the region for that matter, I encourage you to visit your local Chrysler/Jeep dealer then head over to Gulf Chrysler Jeep to compare the deals. Or, you could save yourself some frustration and time and drive over to Foley right away. If you don't at least give Gulf Jeep a chance to win your business you are making a huge financial mistake. It would have been a $4,400 mistake in my case. More

I have purchased 3 Dodge vehicles from this dealership and have been impressed with all 3 vehicle deliveries. The first was a Dodge Ram truck which was serviced under a recall. I dropped my truck off and and have been impressed with all 3 vehicle deliveries. The first was a Dodge Ram truck which was serviced under a recall. I dropped my truck off and was given a ride home and later in day , picked up and brought back to dealer. Vehicle had been serviced with no charge to me. Truck is the best I have ever owned. My last vehicle is a 2013 Dodge Challenger and was custom ordered. Order placed in Sept 2012 and recently delivered at end of Oct. The Challenger drives and handles fantastically. Dave Blanchert sat down with me and explained all the options that were available to me, prior to placing the order. My sales person is Holly Fuqua and she has helped me thru the sales process on all 3 Dodges. She has personally contacted me after the sales , both by email and personal phone calls. The pricing I have received has been very fair. I would definitely recommend this deal to any of my friends. The dealership also sends me periodical emails with money saving coupons for oil changes and tire rotations , along with free inspections. More
I have been shopping for a used minivan and saw that Gulf had a great deal on a van. I emailed the dealership for more details and received a response back from Matt Robinson with more details including pho had a great deal on a van. I emailed the dealership for more details and received a response back from Matt Robinson with more details including photos. I asked for a carfax report and he said that they use AutoCheck instead and sent me the rating for the van, but would not send me the full report. I set up an appointment to drive to Foley from Mobile to see the van. The next day, when I arrived to see the van, he took us into his office and started asking us questions about what we were looking for. I told him we were looking for the van we had been emailing back and forth about the day before. He said he just wanted "to show us everything he had in stock" similar to what we were looking for. When we finally walked out to the lot to see the van, he started showing us a different van. I stopped him and asked him where the van was we came to see. He said it was just there the night before, but it must be in the service dept. After checking inside, he came back out and told us that the van we came to see had "just gone to auction" earlier that day "because of mechanical issues." I thought that was strange since he just told me how great the van was the day before. Of course he proceeded to try to show us "other great vans" that they had on the lot. This is an illegal, fraudulent practice called bait and switch! I didn't think dealerships still had the nerve to try this illegal sales tactic. I wasted an afternoon off of work and gas to drive to Foley to see a vehicle that only existed on their website I guess. I have already started telling my friends, family, coworkers, etc about my experience and that they should NEVER do business with this dealership. More
My wife and I were very interested in a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 2500 that Gulf Chrysler Dodge Jeep "DEALERSHIP" had advertised on Autotrader for $16,995 on June 23rd, 2011. I had spoken over the phone on Frida Cab 2500 that Gulf Chrysler Dodge Jeep "DEALERSHIP" had advertised on Autotrader for $16,995 on June 23rd, 2011. I had spoken over the phone on Friday evening June 24th, 2011 with ours sales person Amy (Whom was very nice and tried to be helpful, but was not very knowledgeable nor very well trained by the "LEADERSHIP" of this so called dealership)... Anyway, I told her I had seen the add on Autotrader and that I was interested in the truck but asked if she could send me some photos of the truck due to the fact that they only had one they had on their ad was a standard cab stock photo. I lived more than 60 miles away and wanted to see it for myself before I drove all that way to ensure that the truck was worth going to look at. She was more than happy to take photos and sent them to me via my cell phone from her cell phone. The pics looked great and I told her that my wife and I would be heading that way in the morning as we could not get there before they closed on that Friday evening. She said that they had interest from several other people and that if I wanted to hold the truck that I could put a "refundable deposit" on it over the phone. At first I said that I did not feel that was necessary as I wanted my wife to see the pics before I did anything like that. I caught up with my wife a short while later and she liked the truck and I called Amy back about a half hour before they were to close on Friday evening and told her that I would like to put the refundable deposit of $100.00 down on it and she said great and took down my information over the phone. We hung up, but about 15 minutes later she called me back and told me that they could not accept my deposit because another salesman was also trying to work a deal on the same truck but that if I showed up and worked my deal first then all was well. That irked me a little, but I was still interested in the truck so I told Amy that my wife and I would be at their dealership when they opened on Saturday morning @ 9am the next day. So we got up and drove the 60 plus miles to their dealership and arrived early @ 0840am and we were met by Amy who then had to spend 15 minutes looking for the key to the truck which had evidently been hidden from her by someone else there and she brought the truck out from the back of the building for us to look at. According to Amy they had just put a full set of tires on it and it was awaiting an alignment. We looked it over and everything seemd to be in order and then we test drove the truck and my wife and I felt like it was going to be a good deal and we then asked to take the truck to an independant mechanic which we had already set up with to bring him the vehicle to check out the engine and drive train mechanicals to ensure that there were no unseen issues with it and I asked if she could provide me with a list of what repairs and servicing had been done to the truck. Amy said that was no problem and said she would get the service list printed out for me asked me for my drivers liscense and proof of insurance card to make copies and to let her sales manager know. I provided her with these items and she went inside. After 20 minutes she came back out and said that her sales manager had said that the truck could not leave the lot due to the "FACT" that there were three other appointments for other sales people to show the truck and that it would not "BE FAIR" to them if the truck was gone for me to have it checked out. I told Amy that as far as my wife and I were concerned we were going to buy the truck as long as our independant mechanic signed off on the truck as not having any issues he could find. I also asked her if she had printed out the service listing so that I could look at it and she told me that she was told that that could not be provided until all of the servicing was completed on the truck. I asked her if I could speak with the sales manager. She did not want me to do that as it could get her into trouble and instead asked if I would mind her talking to him once more, which I said was fine at that time. After another 15 minutes she came back telling my wife and I she had good news and asked that we come in to her desk and sit down. We did. She then started off by saying that because there was some more work to be done on the truck by their service department before they could sell it, her sales manager was willing to take the truck off of the market and that all we needed was "GIVE THEM A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT" for him to authorize me to take it off of the lot to my independant mechanic to have the truck checked out. At that point I told Amy that NO ONE in their right mind would purchase a used diesel truck without having and independant mechanic check it out and that her sales manager was crazy if he though I was stupid enough to just give him $500.00 "NON-REFUNDABLE" just for the priveledge of having the truck inspected and that if the truck had more work that the dealership had to do in order to sell it that they should not have advertised it as being for sale. I again told My wife and I got up and walked out and we will not ever walk in the door of this "DEALERSHIP" ever again and I am telling every single person I know or meet who may ever want to buy a car or truck to NEVER EVER go see these people. I nor my wife in 30+ years of doing business been treated so badly or with such dis-respect. Now I see that as of today June 27th, 2011 Gulf Chrysler Dodge Jeep has this truck listed for sale for $18,241 which considering the damage to the cab, body, rear bumper and right side step rail and their refusal to allow and independant inspection of the truck, just leads me to believe that my decision to not do business with this "DEALERSHIP" was correct and that anyone thinking of doing business with them might want to think twice about it. Gulf Chrysler provides their customers with high quality service that goes above and beyond any dealership I have ever dealt with. They stand by their word and make things right, no matter what! Their sta service that goes above and beyond any dealership I have ever dealt with. They stand by their word and make things right, no matter what! Their staff is very friendly and non-threatening and their facility is emaculate. Gulf Chrysler is not your stereo-typical high-pressure, untrustworthy kind of dealership. We have not hesitated, on many occasions since purchasing our vehicle, recommending Gulf Chrysler to our friends and family. More
My daughter and I purchased a vehicle for my daughter from Gulf Chrysler recently. Holly was our salesperson and Frenchy was the finance manager. They absolutely could not have been more helpful. I from Gulf Chrysler recently. Holly was our salesperson and Frenchy was the finance manager. They absolutely could not have been more helpful. I have bought nearly a dozen vehicles in my life and this was the smoothest, most hassle-free purchase of all of them. Holly and Frenchy had to work hard to assist us with our trade-in. Not all dealerships are willing or able to do so, but Gulf Chrysler made it happen. Much of our transaction was completed over the telephone before we ever came into the dealership. Holly returned all of my calls prior to the purchase in a very prompt manner and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Our paperwork was ready when we arrived and our purchase was completed in record time. It was a totally hassle-free experience. We will not hesitate to highly recommend Gulf Chrysler to our friends, and you can rest assured that, based on our positive experience with Gulf Chrysler, we will be repeat customers. I purchased one of the first Plum Crazy Purple Dodge Challenger R/T's outfitted with the Super Track Pack option from this dealership. This is a family run dealership and my experience with this purcha Challenger R/T's outfitted with the Super Track Pack option from this dealership. This is a family run dealership and my experience with this purchase couldn't have gone any better! I wanted to order this car back in December, however no new orders were being taken at that time. Jennifer worked with her husband and brother-in-law (like I said, "family business") to modify an existing Challenger R/T order to my specifications. For those who have ordered cars before, you are familiar with the long lead time associated with the order process, and the wait can be tedious. Jennifer made my anticipation a lot less painful by providing regular updates on my car's build status. In fact, we both learned a lot about the various build codes that change and update as the car goes from concept to reality. The prices we negotiated for both the Challenger and my Dodge Magnum SRT-8 trade vehicle were very fair and made the 2.5 hour drive from my home in Mississippi well worth the trip. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up my new big-boy toy, I was greeted warmly by everyone and I found the entire facility to be first rate. I'm thrilled with my Plum Crazy car and continue to use the services of Gulf Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep in Foley, Alabama for my Factory Accessory purchases. It is nice to see such fine automobiles being sold by people that are of equally exceptional quality! More
