371 for a simple 10k service what a bomb drop. I’d never return again heard bad things in the past from friends/family and I know why now. If I knew service was going to be more than a jag or Rang I’d never return again heard bad things in the past from friends/family and I know why now. If I knew service was going to be more than a jag or Range Rover I should’ve went luxury More
OK, just the facts…and observations. No slamming, no bashing, just the facts and observations. Draw your own conclusions. First of all, my Sales experience with Sandy Sansing Chevrol No slamming, no bashing, just the facts and observations. Draw your own conclusions. First of all, my Sales experience with Sandy Sansing Chevrolet Dealership was a 5+ star rating. I purchased my brand new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom in April 2020. Sullie, the Sales Manager, went the extra mile AND bent over backwards to help find the specific color I was looking for. Bob, my Salesman, would receive, equally, a 5+ star rating because of his lack of pressure and exhaustive assistance. I can’t say enough good things about Bob, my salesman, and Michael Sullivan, the Sales Manager. During the “sales pitch” with the Finance Dept (Christopher, I believe?), I purchased a PPM, Pre-Paid Maintenance Program Plan, AND a CarSaver Protection Plus Plan. $1300 and $2400 respectively. The “after sales” went fairly smoothly for the first couple of years. Nothing “red carpet” about it (as opposed with Bob Tyler Toyota), but a decent, fairly normal, experience. Then, *this* happened: Some time afterwards, (as I understand it and in my own terms), the Sales Dept system didn’t communicate with the Service Dept system and I was charged for a regular interval servicing. I paid for it with my credit card thinking I would come back and work it out later with them as I was in a hurry that day. I returned a few days later to get a refund back to my credit card. They couldn’t do that. I still, to this day, haven’t figured that one out. They said it would have to (go through all this stuff??) and get a check cut. It took between two and three months before, one day when I was in there expressing my unacceptance of this, that the Service Manager reached over into the petty cash drawer and gave me my $115. And I thought, well now..that wasn’t so hard. On another instance, the same thing happened again. This time I thought, maybe the PPM had expired….but I thought I had renewed it?? I charged the servicing to my credit card, did a little homework ( visited the Financial Dept and got a copy of my “renewed” PPM), went back to Service Dept and was told it had expired. Showed them my copy of the renewed PPM that was good until 2028 and that’s when they leaned their system had not updated, communicated, or something like that?? Went to get my money back and was told I would have to wait until (blah, blah, blah) to get a check cut to me. ELEVEN WEEKS LATER…I finally get my check for $125! NOTE: I was going to try to stick to just the facts and not share my opinions, but at this point I must say this… When I pay for something that I should not have had to pay for, I deserve my money back…then. Not 11 weeks later. And if you are going to keep my money for 11 weeks, then you need to pay me some interest (though granted it would only be pennies, but it’s the principal) for the time you kept “my” money in “your “account and used “my” money to operate “your” business). Just my opinion. These were the first two offenses. Offense # 3. During one of my regular interval servicings, their service department wrecked my vehicle while inside their shop. Damage to the rear quarter panel and running board. I took my truck to a local repair shop for estimates. Turned in the estimate to Sandy Sansing Chevrolet. Had a check cut in a matter of a few days. I’m sure they have a reason for why the turnaround on that check was about 10 times quicker than the turnaround on the reimbursements. But I won’t buy it. Offense # 4. The thing that tipped the scales decidedly in Sandy Sansing‘s favor of buying the Silverado 1500 over the Ford F-150 from World Ford was, they offered a “Lifetime Warranty” on their power train. I paid over $2,000 for a CarSaver Protection Plus Plan. In October of 2023, I took it in for some transmission work. I “assumed” the service dept knew I had the CarSaver Lifetime Warranty. Mr. Mario, The man to see, I absolutely respect and honor this man now 3 years later from buying a new truck, it was easy, fast, respectful, and honest. We need you more than you could ever imagine, in honor this man now 3 years later from buying a new truck, it was easy, fast, respectful, and honest. We need you more than you could ever imagine, in this evil world of buying experiences you made it a breeze. I feel now after buying another vehicle from Eastern Shore Toyota in the past few days , how distasteful, dishonest, and aggravating it really is. No I did not trade, never. Me and some cars I buy are for life. I Thank you, for being The salesman you are, the person u are. Honesty, integrity, straight shooter, human to human, highest respect. Finance department, don't know his name, but it was a breeze also, I received what I wanted, They received what they wanted, win win for all, and everyone was happy. Price was lovely also. Thank You, William Cook More
It is a wonder how Sandy Sansing could have stayed in business. as long as it has. It must be the sales area because the service struggles with honesty. We have now tried 3 different locations for 3 diff business. as long as it has. It must be the sales area because the service struggles with honesty. We have now tried 3 different locations for 3 different makes of vehicle and in each case the price quoted for non-exploratory work was substantially different from the bill. Moreover an appointment means nothing. Waiting 4 hours and the repair wasn't even started with a scheduled appointment. The quoted price on the phone was $500 for a battery and billed $625. These are the reasons "dealer service" has a bad rap. For over 50 years I have been using dealer service and nothing can match the disappointment of this dealer. We will continue to us dealer service, we will just have to travel to do so. More
