Sands Kia employed deceptive "switch and get rich" tactics to inflate the price of my lease. After the deal was finalized, they used high-pressure sales to add unnecessary products ("hard adds"), misr tactics to inflate the price of my lease. I have been shopping all over the region for a new PHEV and settled on the 2024 Kia Sportage. I talked to Jacob who was giving me a great deal. The only catch was he gave me nothing formally in writing bec and settled on the 2024 Kia Sportage. I talked to Jacob who was giving me a great deal. The only catch was he gave me nothing formally in writing because he said he didn't want me to take it to another dealer for a better offer they couldn't beat. It took a day and a half to drive there. So before finalizing the deal, I called him multiple times to confirm the out the door price. When I arrived, he showed me a quote that was over $3000 more than previously stated and the cherry on top was an insultingly low trade-in offer. Fortunately, I called my home dealership at that point and got a pretty good offer. Not the one I was hoping for, but still in the ballpark. It was clear they figured I wouldn't come all the way here if and not buy anything. Moral of the story: if they aren't giving you the deal they are offering you in writing, then they probably can't actually give you that price. And if they are giving you a great deal over the phone, make sure you insist on the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle because that protects you from the price changing. Jacob did a courtesy hold which I now realize he did not put of kindness, but so he could change the price. More
Cannot begin to explain how great team was with our situation. My sales rep Tyrel and his manager Isais heard out my problem and got straight to work. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY TYREL POTTER! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! In october 2023 I was on the market for a new Kia Forte. After a bunch of calls and emails one of the Sands Kia salesme THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! In october 2023 I was on the market for a new Kia Forte. After a bunch of calls and emails one of the Sands Kia salesmen (Tyrel Potter) offered me on the phone Kia Forte GT-Line for a price of 23K out-the-door. Once I arrived at the dealership he already prepared all the documentation, but the price was different: 25K out-the-door. I told him that I'm not going to buy the car, to which he offered me a free lifetime oil change package to compensate the price difference. I agreed. Tyrel told me that the manager who is responsible for this package's documentation already left (because it was pretty late in the evening), but he reassured me that he will take care of it tomorrow and even quickly showed me some sort of a paperwork with his signature as a proof of this package's existence. Fast forward a month, I still didn't receive any physical proof of this "lifetime oil change package". After asking multiple times on the phone and in the email to send me physical copies of documentation, I always get a different excuse (e.g. manager is not here today, but we will do it tomorrow or next week). Fast forward another couple of months, I arrived at the Sands Kia dealership for a first service and asked Tyrel Potter in person to clarify what's going on with my "lifetime oil change package" and he LIED directly to my face (I have him on record) that everything's fine and it's some sort of a mistake and he will take care of it next week. After I left the dealership Tyrel Potter stopped replying to my emails, texts and calls, so I decided to speak with his manager Christofer Robinson. Turns out this "lifetime oil change package" doesn't even exist, so essentialy Tyrel Potter TRICKED me into buying a car with a made-up package and KEPT LYING about it for a couple of months. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE! P.S. Tyrel I hope you sleep well every night knowing that you scam people and I sincerely hope that your children will be treated the same way I was treated by you.
