Our experience at Sands was very good, mainly due to our salesman, Tom Abate. He was a real gentleman when my son and I stopped in on a whim to look at used cars. Tom really listened to what I was looking for and pointed us in the direction of a 2007 Jeep Commander. He took us on the best, most thorough test drive I've probably ever taken and spent a lot of time going over all the components with me. Although he was doing his job as a salesman should, I never felt pressured by him to make a decision and this is exactly why I ended up coming back and purchasing the Jeep in the end. I cannot stand pushy salepeople, so Tom won a lot of points with me and seemed to really want to make the customer happy. I am always a little leery at any dealership, but felt that Sands was a good place to shop for a used car. I was especially pleased that they went the extra mile to fix a few little minor things before we picked up the JEEP for purchase. The car was also extremely well cleaned and detailed when we test drove it which really impressed me, too. I had been to some other dealers to look at used cars and found the vehicles to be a little dirty, but at Sands the two cars I test drove were very clean! Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend Sands to anyone. My only complaint was the $299 theft insurance that just sort of gets tacked onto your bill. This seems like something you should request, rather than having it show up on the purchase order when you are signing all your paperwork. It caught us off guard and we ended up just signing everything anyway. But it seems like a sneaky hidden charge that should have been optional. If you go to Sands, be sure to ask for Tom Abate. Although he is new to the dealership, he is an experienced salesman and really worked hard to help us get the right vehicle. We are very satisfied. Paige and Bob N. More
My wife and I bought a used 1994 Mitsubishi Gallant from you in 1996. We still have it and it runs GREAT with 225,000 miles on it. We just bought a 2010 Mitsubishi Gallant from you on 9/9/12. We made the mistake of going to another dealer in town and left them with a bad taste in our mouths. I didn't appreciate the GAMES they tried to play. Then we came to your dealership. Sales used "bait and switch" tactics to get me into the dealership. Then when they showed me higher price vehicles the did not honor their "guaranteed credit" advertisement. Tom was very professional, helpful, and low pressure. We have been using Sands for a number of years now and every interaction whether buying a new car (our 3rd one from them) or service on our vehicles (4 different cars) they have given exceptional service and are very fair on costs. Returning to a dealer back-to-back says something about a good dealer. My problem and why I only rated an "okay" on Customer Service does NOT in anyway reflect on Bill, Russ or Marty, but rather another salesperson who was too quick to judge customers (my daughter and her finance). Had he not been so quick to judge, he could have done an upsale with my kids, I would have stood behind it as I did at another dealer and life would have been good all the way around. I have leased 2 vehicles from this dealership and have been very happy with both. However, I had received a price on a used car for my daughter and her boyfriend and was told which salesperson to have the been very happy with both. However, I had received a price on a used car for my daughter and her boyfriend and was told which salesperson to have them ask for. When they arrived that salesperson pushed them off to another salesperson and when they inquired about the car they were met with "we don't give cars away.". No problem. A wrong quote can happen and I do trust the guys. I do believe their sales staff evaluated 2 college kids on their college appearance and were given an extremely cold reception. Little did this dealer know that I backed the kids up with my own dollars. After the rude treatment the kis left very frustrated so I worked with them on a much newer (and expensive) auto. They are happy and I was pleased with the dealership.. So much so that I went to that dealer to get a new car for my wife. Today I just had that dealer buy out my Sands lease and I purchased a new car from them as well. I love Sands service department. They have done a terrific job on maintaining my two cars from Sands--a Dodge Charger and a Wrangler Unlimited. Kudos to the service guys. But a rude, judgmental sales department rates an "F". They just lost 3 car sales. With the Wrangler now history I no longer need to drive to Sands Quakertown. More

Amy answered phone and was very helpful. I believe she is also the one who got both jeeps to your dealership as to not make me have to drive from quakerstown to red hill as it was already a one and a half ho also the one who got both jeeps to your dealership as to not make me have to drive from quakerstown to red hill as it was already a one and a half hour ride for me. That was greatly appreciated. Mark Cardillo was a pleasure to work with, both friendly and knowledgable. I would say the only negative aspect was that I was thinking the loan would be at 6% and it came back at 8%. I would have thought I would have been called to see if it was something that I would have a problem with but was not called. Otherwise it was a good experience to deal with Sands Auto Group.
