You CAN'T trust Sands Chevrolet with service. When I received a call from Tim to say that the truck was ready he started by saying that even though they'd replaced the transmission fluid it was When I received a call from Tim to say that the truck was ready he started by saying that even though they'd replaced the transmission fluid it was still dark. Then he started listing off a bunch of things that "needed" to be done. When I asked for clarification on some items, he said he didn't know because the truck had been serviced the night before after hours and he would have to go talk to his technician. I asked him to call me back after he talked to his technician because if there was a crititical thing on that long list that he was citing it would need to be addressed. Over six hours later I recieved a call followed by an email with a list 11 pages long and totaling nearly $10,000 in work that "HAD" to be done. It didn't address any of the warranty work that should have been covered and when questioned again he couldn't answer my questions. Shortly after haning up I get a call from the 'sales manager' offering to buy our truck and put us into something that we could drive. When my husband called to pay the bill so that we could pick up the truck and get a 2nd opinion, my bill was no longer $145 but $350. Apparently, he charged me $200+ for "talking to his technician". The following day we took it to Firestone because we have lifetime alignment on it and because we purchased our tires there. There was nothing wrong with the tires (Sand's claimed that 3 of the tires needed to be mounted and balanced) and the alighment was out but not in the red. Their inspection didn't notice the "collapsed motor mounts and collapsed transmission mounts". The next day we took it over to our service advisor at Sands Kia and the Service Manager went over the truck himself. His inspection showed NOTHING that that needed to be addressed and he said if it was his truck he wouldn't do a thing. DO NOT TRUST SANDS CHEVROLET FOR ANYTHING. I will be notifying every person necessary to recover my $200+ dollars. If that's the way they're training their advisors and techs it's gone straight to pot. More
I totally trust Sands Chevrolet for any repairs or upkeep done on my 2014 Equinox. Robert Wolf tells us of issues that will need work in the future and let's us decided on the timing. He is always able to ge done on my 2014 Equinox. Robert Wolf tells us of issues that will need work in the future and let's us decided on the timing. He is always able to get us a reduced rate. The repair technicians are dedicated to honest thorough workmanship. Recently we shopped around for tires and found the best deal and best quality tires right there, even better than Costco and Discount tires. We are very happy with this dealership. Took my 2018 Colorado in to fix a transmission shudder, which is a known problem for many GM models in the 2017 to 2019 model years. I had the GM service bulletin pertaining to this problem with me. It reads, “if the customer complains of the shudder condition, no diagnosis is necessary. Perform transmission fluid flush.” After a 14 mile test drive, I was told what I was feeling was my tires. When I told the service rep if it were my tires, it would be constant and not intermittent. He gave me some excuse about centrifugal force. xx. I took the vehicle to Autonation and they performed the service without issue. More

I’ve never dealt with a more sleazy service department. They wanted to charge me $800 for a $20 part and less than one hour job. They then refused to secure the piece so I could drive it home. I have used Sands of Surprise for my warranty work and any recalls that occured since I purchased my 2011 Chevy Silvarado. I recently brought my truck in for the Tacata air bag recall and was told that m any recalls that occured since I purchased my 2011 Chevy Silvarado. I recently brought my truck in for the Tacata air bag recall and was told that my transmission dipstick tube was broken and been on recall in 2012. I told the associate that I was never inform of the recall. The associate told me the recall had expired in 2012. I reenforce that I had not been notified or I would have brought my truck in to take care of it. The bottom line is the associate told me if I had spend more out of pocket money at Sands Chevrolet he could help me but I had only had my warrantee and recall work done their. I am greatly disappointed in his response and will no longer have anything to do with Sands Chevrolet of Surprise or any General Motors product in the future. Walter Hutter More
