I waited for two hours and Service Advisor stated that my car was finished. He then proceeded to tell me that my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid vehicle needed 3 fan belts replaced, which would total $220.00. I'm not sure why he would tell me this, because my car has 1 serpentine belt not THREE. In addition to this, I recieved a second opinion from a Toyota dealership that found no deterioration of the serpentine belt. When I called to speak with the service advisor, he responded with: "well the technician must have confused your car with someone elses". I don't know if this kind of mistakes happen very often or just the fact that someplaces try to con a female coming into the dealership by herself. I certainly won't be returning to Sands Chevrolet. Went in for an oil change and filter. The next day, I noticed a puddle of oil on my garage floor. Called Sergio, who was very polite, and told me to bring the car back asap. The problem was said to be a noticed a puddle of oil on my garage floor. Called Sergio, who was very polite, and told me to bring the car back asap. The problem was said to be a worn oil plug, which was replaced. Conclusion: Sloppy work by the tech. Should have been spotted during the initial job. They offer a great price for an oil change, because superficial work is done. A friend had the same problem. The service writer, Bryan, was very professional, courteous, and friendly. Problem is, the service writer does not work on your car...the techs do. This is the second time I had a problem with this dealership. The other one involved them putting checks next to all items on your car that they review. I know that I need a cabin filter...it's filthy. Yet, they checked it as being very good. You can decide whether they actually looked. More
I had just purchased a used Malibu from sands and the very next day my engine light popped on so I took the vehicle in for repairs. Keep in mind I just purchased it the day before. Victor met me at my ca very next day my engine light popped on so I took the vehicle in for repairs. Keep in mind I just purchased it the day before. Victor met me at my car and claimed he would charge me 105.00 to look at vehicle. Why would I be charged for a problem on a car I just purchased? Finnaly he agreed to look at it after I asked for a manager. I was told I would have to leave car over night or possible couple days and that they would not provide me with another car to drive. This is my only car and to be without it for a day or longer is crazy. The next day I had to call and check on my car and I could not get ahold of him. I left several messages but never got a call back. I went to the dealer to check on my car and I was informed that the vehicle would need a 800.00 dollar repair. Are you kidding me? So I insisted that they repair the vehicle at no charge to me again I was told no. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told that would be Tom but that he doesn't talk to customers. Are you joking again? A manager that won't take the time to speak to a frustrated customer? Victor said that he spoke to Tom and was informed again that sands would not repair my just purchased vehicle. Victor then pulled me aside and told me he could help me get my car repaired but I couldn't tell anyone what he was about to say to me. He told me if I went and complained to Jerry Moore and John Thomas the owners that they would most likely help me out. He gave me some pointers on what to say to convince the owners to fix my vehicle. I didn't even know about this dealer rater web site until victor told me to use it to my advantage. He said if I told the owners I would give them bad reviews and bad surveys that they would fix anything I needed. I am sorry but this did not seem right or very professional. So I took my car to power Chevrolet and they fixed it free of charge and even gave me a vehicle to drive. I can tell you from my experience with Tom and victor that they will loose more customers than they will gain. I also should state that during my visit there while victor was talking with Tom the language and tone in which he spoke was so unprofessional that I will never go back for service and or sales. So to end this comment I would say don't waste the time driving to sands because they are clearly out to get your money not your satisfaction and loyalty. Beware the 8.88 oil change service is just a gimmick to lure you into there store. More

Lately every time I take my vehicles in for just an oil change they seem to find something else wrong that is more expensive and not covered by the warrenty.Last time they told me my brand new Malibu 2011 change they seem to find something else wrong that is more expensive and not covered by the warrenty.Last time they told me my brand new Malibu 2011 also needed an alignment and tire rotation, which they said would not take that long but we were ther for over 2 hours. When I ask about a discount for having to wait so long Jason raised his voice and said "I told you before it could take 1 hour or longer but I beleive he said 1 hour or 1 hour and a half not over 2 hours. I will go back to Power Chevrolet for better customer service Thanks, George More
