It cost a little bit more, but safety was the concern and they came through. I can now drive with some peace of mind. More
You do not communicate Took my new fully loaded truck in because after 1000 miles my front axel broke! Because the dealer installed a lift I got the runaround. Lucky for me I did not buy from sands Chevy! Murdock Chevy in Layton Utah stood behind there product and paid for the fix. After 3 days of hassle and poor communication I was ready to have my truck towed to another dealer. The service manager was not much help. A part was ordered and lost with no tracking info and sands kept pointing the finger at the other dealer. After one full week and no communication I let sands know I was leaving town and would be taking there loaner truck for a 2000 mile trip... Somehow they got my truck ready and then called me after I left town! Thank you for being the worst communicators on earth! Let's hope my truck works! No confidence in sands More
Refused to troubleshoot a warrantied repair I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from this dealer with a 2 year warranty. Thirty days after buying it, my gauges such as speedometer, fuel statu I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from this dealer with a 2 year warranty. Thirty days after buying it, my gauges such as speedometer, fuel status, temperature, and tachometer would intermittently black out while I was driving. These gauges are lit up by backlighting and if they go out, you don't know how fast you are driving or how much gas is in your vehicle. I brought the car in and they said it was covered under their warranty. They gave me the car back days later saying they couldn't duplicate the problem and their parent company doesn't allow them to properly troubleshoot because it's too expensive. I was told to video tape the problem while driving the next time it happens. What good is a warranty if the service department is not allowed to troubleshoot the car or is incompetent and cannot fix the problem? I was also told to fill my loaner car up to full with gas when I returned it, which I did. I wish the service department was kind enough to do the same. They drove my car at least 50 miles trying to duplicate the problem and didn't put an ounce of gas back in it. The service department rep that I was dealing with was also aware of my work schedule and called 30 minutes before I had to work saying he needed his loaner back because they couldn't fix my car. I wish I never bought this car from this dealership. I have two small children that accompany me in this car and when my gauges are lost, that is a huge safety concern that Sands Chevy is clearly not concerned about. I will never again buy from Sands Chevy or recommend anyone else to. More

Best service advisor ever- Henry! I took both of my vehicles in for regular servicing. I have been using Henry as my advisor for about a year now and his performance is second to none! I took both of my vehicles in for regular servicing. I have been using Henry as my advisor for about a year now and his performance is second to none! He will keep you up to date at every step and recommend what's best for the circumstances. I have been treated so well some of my coworkers are using him as well!
