I would rate this place a zero star if I could. The experience I have had has been a nightmare. I brought my vehicle to Sands Chevrolet Surprise after a young kid backed up info my vehicle and broke my grill and dislodged my bumper. I thought bringing my car to a dealership for auto body repair was the best choice since I purchased my car from their lot. They replaced the grill and called to tell me my car was ready. After arriving home my husband asked if they did a walk through with me which they didn’t and he noticed they replaced my grill with another broken grill that was in worse shape than how I brought my vehicle to them. And to top it off my bumper was not fixed- the one side is still dislodged. I called back Monday and Jim I believe his name was played dumb that he remembered my car and he had 3 ppl look at it and he was sorry it was missed. When I brought up the bumper he said that sometimes it won’t go back flush as it may be out of line. I told him that was unacceptable as my car was in mint shape before the incident. He said they’d look at it. Then a day goes by and I start getting an error message- stabiliteck. Google references that it is related to the steering column so I made sure they were aware of that as well as the error never popped up before they touched my car in first place. Fast forward to dropping car off- they advised the rental would be on site- the lady who called to made appointment assured me it was and that all my notes were there. Upon arriving my notes were not in the system to check bumper and error and the rental was not on site so I had to leave and come back due to their horrible communication. Angie calls me 12 hours later and says my car is good to go and grill is replaced. I asked about error and bumper and she said it wasn’t in her system to check and she’d look into that and follow up. Today she calls me to tell me the error message is showing a low voltage battery and it needs to be replaced. So we call back and ask about code and online showing nothing about a battery and the screen in dash never showing low battery and my husband asks what happens if this comes back on- Henry assured my husband it wouldn’t. They want to charge me $140 for a diagnostic test without telling me upfront that charge would be there and they want to tell me they have to make sure labor is paid when I had to go back due to them messing up and providing half xxx quality the first time I trusted them with my car. We told them we didn’t agree with the charge and we had to bring car back to them due to mistakes and if I was told up front about a diagnosis fee- I would have taken my car elsewhere. I am beyond livid with the experience and the customer service I have received from a dealership that strives on quality. Like I said- I’d rate this zero stars if I could. More
Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership! I went down to trade in my 2021 Colorado for a 2019 Silverado black widow. I signed the paperwork to have my payments at the price I could afford and put down a dow trade in my 2021 Colorado for a 2019 Silverado black widow. I signed the paperwork to have my payments at the price I could afford and put down a down payment along with the trade in. A little over a week goes by and I get a call from the financial guys that I needed to come back and resign paperwork since the loan I was originally supposed to go through wouldn’t take it. They wanted to up my payments $80 more, I refused and told them we had a contract stating that im getting this vehicle for the price we agreed on and I want it for that. They refused to negotiate closer to the payment I had originally signed for. To top it all off, I walked out of the dealership with my trade in back with no plates or registration back. I have been a loyal customer and they treated me like a little girl who they could try and steal from. Im very disappointed in this dealership and they will NOT be getting my business ever again. I’d also like to state that the sales guy Shaun was completely rude to my mom when she had dropped off the spare key for the Colorado. Telling her he never should of sold me the black widow and that I got it for a steel and It was the best offer for that vehicle(for the original agreement I signed for). More

Sneaky unethical sashes strategy. They slide in "reconditioning fees" into the loan. Tried to talk to the sales manager and he became contentious. Worst buying experience I've ever had. Made an appointment to go in Sunday and test drive the vehicle and discuss my trade in. Sunday the vehicle was parked in the sales lot, dirty with a lot of bird poop over it. Obviously it hadn't moved (or cleaned) in awhile. After the test drive started discussing the deal. Joe couldn't answer much, just getting info for us to get it all on paper. Then Sean turns up, Sales Manager. Before I knew it the price of the vehicle increased by several thousand dollars ! While the adverstised price was on the MSRP on the vehicle and internet offer, they don't even discuss the hidden charges until well into the process. Then a low ball trade in and I was looking at about $7,000 more than expected. Sean would talk for a few minutes and then disappear for 10. Extremely unprofessional. The vehicle was dirty, including a scuffed interior and had 60 miles on it. I told them it looked used. These guys are amateurs. The next day I went to Liberty GMC and talking on the phone with their internet department, again from an online advertisement for a specific vehicle. Arrived at Liberty at 2 PM and drove home in our beautiful 2021 GMC Yukon SLT. Better equipped that the dirty Tahoe, and save about $7,000! And it was a very pleasant experience. What professionals. I came in with a 2020 Harley sportster for trade and spoke with salesman, Oscar, who sold me a used 2019 Chevy Colorado. He went into great detail how the truck had only one owner and was well taken car spoke with salesman, Oscar, who sold me a used 2019 Chevy Colorado. He went into great detail how the truck had only one owner and was well taken care of. He failed to mention the part where it was in a major collision and it was rated as severe on the carfax report that I paid for. Also failed to mention it was a rental previously and that it certainly was not a trade in. When I came into the dealership I explained what had happened. A manager then got upset with me, as if some how this situation was my fault. I educated said manager on the LAW, as in consumer fraud (ARS 44-1522) is a real thing with real consequences. Give Mark Brnovich's office a ring and just ask for yourself. After this he, the manager, acted as if he wasn't going to make this thing right. I then dealt with a different salesman, Trace Hunt. Trace treated me with respect and understood that this was a tough spot to be in. Thank you Trace for your professionalism. I then had the pleasure of speaking with a real manager, Earnest Hickman, as the previous one obviously missed a few of his courses, maybe he needs some more PowerPoint lessons, who knows. Mr. Hickman also treated me with respect and made a bad situation a little better, thank you Earnest for having the tact and integrity as a manager to make the deal work. Although I must admit I was not excited about the fact I ended up paying more in the end for the new truck and Oscar the original salesman got half of that commission that should have fully ended up in Trace's hand. Finally, this is not how you conduct a good business. I am a disabled combat Veteran that served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. To be misled in this way has forever changed the way I view dealerships. I would NOT recommend this dealership. More
Our salesman didn't know anything about the vehicle we were looking for or vehicles in general. I was looking for a Tahoe with Max Trailering package in order to get the higher tow rating. He told me that were looking for or vehicles in general. I was looking for a Tahoe with Max Trailering package in order to get the higher tow rating. He told me that any V8 can tow and that the Tahoe in general is capable of towing 12,000lbs which is ridiculous (it maxes out at 8600 if configured properly). We left not feeling good about the deal only to get a text with some numbers that were more in line with what we were looking for. So we came back in, the original salesman was gone so we worked with another one (second guy was way better). But the sales manager kept coming up with numbers that were nowhere near what I was texted and came back for. Should have just run at this point but he did get it to where we needed to be. UNTIL....I get over to finance after waiting for them to find the elusive Caleb. This guy is a joke. He has no idea what he is having customers sign and makes it very obvious that the only important thing is making sure the dealership gets the biggest and quickest payday it can from every deal. I asked him about a specific form from the bank that we were financing through and his response was "I don't know, I just know we have to get that signed so we can get paid". After refusing to sign it until I know what it is, he calls the bank and finds out it is a completely voluntary form and isn't even needed! Now this brings me to the extended warranty that I purchased and still have no idea what coverage I have. Caleb had me sign a service contract for the warranty, it had no information about the warranty filled in so I asked what my coverage is. He then had me sign another one that he checked two boxes on; one says "Premium" and the other is for the deductible. He also handed me a pamphlet about the coverage. So I'm asking questions about the coverage in the pamphlet and he then tells me its not that plan its "this one" and hands me a different pamphlet and tells me that I will receive the warranty cards and info in the mail. But wait, there's more... Three days outside of 30 days from purchase the check engine light comes on. I take it in because I have this wonderful warranty that Caleb told me covers "everything". Except it just so happens that the check engine light is caused by the catalytic converter that just so happened to go bad right outside of my 30 days and also isn't covered by my $4000 warranty. So now I have a vehicle that I haven't even owned long enough to make a single payment on or even register in my name that needs a $2000 repair. Oh and the third row head rests that are completely broken are also my problem because I didn't inspect them before purchase. Service department was great to work with but everything on the sales side is terrible. Sands Chevrolet - Surprise, Don't even bother responding with some cut and paste "we're sorry this happened to you" I will not return and I will tell everyone I can to stay away as well. More
