I spent a great deal of time on the internet looking for a car for my mom. When I began to look at Chevy,I chose Sands Chevrolet for its convenient location. I was then contacted by Bob Rillston (sales) an a car for my mom. When I began to look at Chevy,I chose Sands Chevrolet for its convenient location. I was then contacted by Bob Rillston (sales) and John Thomas (GM) who were fantastic. Both did an excellent job of communicating with me via email (my preference) and then when I brought my mom into the dealership they did an excellent job of meeting all her requirements for a new vehicle and answering all her questions. I will NEVER bring my car back to this dealership. I brought my vehicle in at 5:00 on a Wednesday night because the cruise control went out and a light came on. I understood that they would not be able brought my vehicle in at 5:00 on a Wednesday night because the cruise control went out and a light came on. I understood that they would not be able to get the vehicle repaired one hour until close. I was hoping to get an idea of how long it would take so I could set that up. They had no one that could look at the vehicle. Why have hours of operation if you are not operating during those hours? Well I ended up leaving the vehicle with Jody. He was very nice and assured me they would call in the morning to give me an idea of what the problem was and how long until it would be fixed. I got a call back at 2:30 in the afternoon the next day! I would have NEVER left the vehicle if I knew it would take an entire day to get a call. I was upset with that, but Jody was very nice and got the vehicle fixed so I didn't worry to much. When I went to pick up the car he noticed the door handle was chipping and suggested I get that in before my warranty expired. He ordered the part and I made an appointment for the next week. He even called me that week to let me know the part was here and ready. Well Saturday morning I brought my vehicle in at my appointed time. He had told me to make a list of anything that needed fixed and we could get that done. Nothing major, just small items. Well the service department did warn me that it would be about 1- 1 1/2 hours to get it done. I said not a problem and I waited at the dealership. 2 1/2 hours later the gentleman came over and said he had bad news. The part was incorrect and they have done NONE of the work. I sat at the dealership for 2 1/2 hours only to be told they did absolutely nothing for my vehicle! I was furious! Not only did they quote me and over an hour off on the expected time but then they did nothing. The guy told me he was very sorry and would give me a card for a free oil change! What!?! A 9 dollar oil change. I laughed. I have never been so angry with a car dealership. They have NO customer service skills. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone I know. I am not going to waste my time with a dealership that doesn't value your time. I wasted 2 1/2 hours of my Saturday at Sands Chevrolet why they did NOTHING for my vehicle after I had an appointment and had confirmed the parts had come in. More
I have now had 2 bad experiences with this dealership..my first visit was for my husband to look into getting a used car and the salesman tried selling him a brand new car that he did not like...that wasnt w first visit was for my husband to look into getting a used car and the salesman tried selling him a brand new car that he did not like...that wasnt what made this experience horrible it was their lack of respect and customer service. The sales man was extremely sexist and I found his comments to be offensive. Customer service must not be a requirement to work here even the management is rude..my last visit there was for my husband to turn in a car he was going to buy from them until they changed his agreement. The sales manager was extremely rude to us and once we turned the car in were left stranded and had to find a ride home...I have told everyone I know not to buy from this dealership! More
Absolutely hate this place. Every year or so I get tricked to come in by them mailing me coupons for an oil change or a brake job, and once you get there with a coupon that says "Synthetic oil change tricked to come in by them mailing me coupons for an oil change or a brake job, and once you get there with a coupon that says "Synthetic oil change 39.95" they tell you it's synthetic blend. I called them and asked the receptionist to speak to a general manager, who then proceeded to transfer me to a service scheduler person, and once I explained to him that I wanted to speak to a general manager, he then said he would transfer me to his secretary.. and then transferred me back to the same receptionist who initially picked up the phone...... and then I got transferred to the general manager's voice mail.. The manager called me back the next day regarding the coupon issue and explained that fitting an additional word such as "Synthetic-blend" would be impossible because there is not enough room for 5 more characters. We wanted to purchase a used car to decrease our monthly car payment without increasing our debt. Brad and the managers at Sands understood our needs and listened to what we were trying to do. They suggested vehicles that suited our active family and helped us find a vehicle we are very happy with. The negotiation process was very straight forward and I really feel the managers went the extra mile for us. Never once did I feel we were anything but VIP clients, even in light of our low budget. I previously purchased a new vehicle from Sands and was very happy with the sales people and the car. However after a year I needed a larger vehicle and went back to Sands after looking at a couple of oth very happy with the sales people and the car. However after a year I needed a larger vehicle and went back to Sands after looking at a couple of other highly recommended cars and found Mike Wimberly, the fleet mgr. to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeably as to the best choice for me based on what I needed. I purchased a Chevy Equinox LT and am extremely happy with it. I believe I received the best possible amount for my trade-in based on internet sites I checked and also the best price on the new vehicle. I highly recommend Sands to anyone who is looking for an honest dealer and a great price. More
These 3 people: Colin, Sean and Santana are truly the BEST in the business. After spending hours each night for almost a week of looking for cars and working with other dealerships, sales & finance peop BEST in the business. Colin, our salesman, is the epitome of nice. His friendly mannerisms drew us in and made us feel more comfortable. We were undecided between 2 vehicles and he freely gave his opinion & it mirrored ours - giving us more confidence in our choice. He listened to our needs, desires and wants & didn't pressure us throughout the entire process. He treated us like he feels he'd like to be treated - like he was buying the vehicle himself. We actually feel we know him better as well & enjoyed talking with him - even on a personal level. Sean, the Internet Director, worked the numbers for us with incredible precision & knowledge - giving us so many options. He ensured we got the price and payment we were looking for. Sean also took time to explain the hows and whys of interest and its relationship to our rate & payment. He knew our pre-approval rate & topped it!! We received the best rate possible. Santana, the Finance Manager, took time to explain the amounts, possible warranties and different insurance policies that were available to us. We signed our contract with confidence.
