NOT a cheap truck, but satisfied with purchase....until I learned that I was supposed to have received a second key with my vehicle. I hadn't purchased a vehicle in over five years and just assumed that as with everything today, you get less for your money. I even asked the sales associate (the day of the sale) how I went about getting an extra key made. Spoke with a friend of mine weeks later and they had purchased a Chevy truck from an east valley dealer. When they did so, they received a second key and keyfob. Additionally, had a friend who just purchased a Hyundai for about a third of the price I paid for my truck. She too received a second key AND keyfob. The dealer wanted me to fill out all of these customer satisfaction surveys, which I kept putting off. Curiously, I haven't received any of those requests since I've had this issue and made it known to them. I kept one email I received from Denise Anderson, their customer service manager, so I thought I'd ask her about it. She did leave a voicemail for me to call, but working nights, it's hard to return those calls. She also stated that if it had been a few days, it wouldn't have been a problem, but now that it was a month later, she wasn't sure what she could do (I guess they only care about you RIGHT after your purchase). It's been a week since my last email sent to her (without a reply). It was as follows: ------------------------ Hello Denise. I got your voice mail, but I work 12 hr nights from 6P-6A which makes it very hard for me to return calls during normal business hours. In regard to the second key for my Silverado, I thought maybe someone had slipped it in the package with the owners manual and I just possibly overlooked it. However, I went out and checked the truck and could not find a second key anywhere. I am not sure what having the truck for two months has to do with the fact that I did not receive the second key. If I was not being honest and just wanted a third key, are you saying, "best to do that with a few days of receiving the truck"? I am a single owner with no one else driving the vehicle. I have no need for three keys. I do however, at least like to have one spare should something happen to the primary. Also please remember that this was not that I forgot to ask for the second key, I never knew that I was supposed to receive one! I have a rather keen memory and even asked my sales associate what the process was for getting another key made (this was the day of sale when he handed me only one key and the keyfob". However, possibly MOST concerning is that if I did not receive this key, is there a key that is cut for my vehicle laying around the dealership somewhere? If this key has a tag with any sort of indication of a VIN number, it would be terribly easy to cross reference this info and my vehicle could be at risk of being stolen.....VERY easily!! So I would ask that your first step be to investigate whether or not my second key is in a drawer, or hanging somewhere, there at the dealership. Again, this is truly my biggest concern. Please let me know any updates you have on this issue .--------------------------------- I'm actually pretty shocked that a dealer that stated that they were so BIG on customer satisfaction, has done nothing for me on this.I have no ulterior motives in writing this (other than maybe actually getting them to respond to my email), but wanted to share my experience with this dealership. Disappointed and hurt. To condense a terribly long story, my husband and I went to Sands Chevy to try and trade in our two cars for one truck on the 19th of September. We were there a total of 8 hours getting everything done, and signed all of the paperwork, bought GAP insurance, even purchased new coverage from allstate. They handed us the keys to a brand new Chevy Silverado with lower overall payments than we were making and we were extremely happy. We were able to start reworking our finances, open a savings account, and get ready for this baby due in november because we were going to be saving much more on a monthly basis. No hint was ever made that something might go wrong, or that we might not get approved. 17 days later, I started to get curious as to why our cars had not been paid off. We had not received anything in the mail about a lender. So I decided to call the dealership. After two hours of waiting for a phone call, I finally talked to a guy named Paul, a sales manager. He told me that there was no lender willing to finance us and that our only choice was to return the truck immediately. I asked him why it took 17 days for me to find out about this and all he kept saying was "it wasn't a lack of effort on our end." I called my husband out of work to help me deal with this suddenly urgent situation and luckily his first sergeant allowed him to leave. We tried to find every loophole we could, tried to get answers but we were left with no choice but to return the truck. When we arrived, Paul was there, but he absolutely refused to speak with us. I stood in the middle of the showroom floor in tears, angry and confused. For two hours we waited for them to get our cars pulled around. Two. Hours. When we finally got the keys back they wouldn't even put enough gas in my husbands car to get home. They said it wasn't their problem. I asked for Paul to come talk to us, but he said he was done with us and made his employees shoo us away like we were worthless. I called corporate, we have hired a lawyer. We are still trying to get more answers, but no one at the dealership will give me the time of day. We desperately needed this to work out because of our financial situation. The fact that they seemed to care so little about how hurt we were is a real testament to how they really view customers. Don't let them fool you into thinking they are there to help because they are not. They were a waste of time and money. I know that Buzz Sands would never want his dealership run this way. If you buy here make SURE you have a lender approved before you even step out the door with those keys. More

I was very specific in what I was looking for and the only truck they had that was close to my criteria happened to only have the V6 engine. Instead of being the typical pushy salesman Scott took the time to help me understand certain aspects of the V6 that I would not have know had he not been so knowledgable. In the end I feel like I made an informed and correct decision based on his help and expertise. There were times where he would answer my texts at almost 9 at night(I didn't realize the dealer closed at 8). This guy goes above and beyond! My experience was equally pleasant when I got to the Finance department and had the pleasure of working with Joe Lomeli. He got me a great rate on financing and helped me pick out a great extended warranty that fit my needs. Again another incredible experience.
