Chevy Truck Service Made and appointment and dropped my 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic Duramax 2500 HD for routine service. I have always had the vehicle serviced at other Made and appointment and dropped my 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic Duramax 2500 HD for routine service. I have always had the vehicle serviced at other Chevy dealers prior to moving to Wickenburg. I had an appointment with Robert to schedule a lube oil and filter change, fuel filter, air filter, and check out the door ajar switches which are sticking and causing the aftermarket AMP running boards to act intermittently. I also requested a safety check and status on brake pad wear since the truck has 72,000 miles on it. I left the truck and headed home. While on my way home, I was contacted by a representative of the sales department to offer me an opportunity to purchase an extended warranty. I declined and thanked him. Later I was contacted by Robert in service regarding the status of my truck. He indicated that they had found additional issues and wished to discuss. The first was it had two oil leaks, one on engine oil pan and one on transmission cooler line . Robert also commented that all the rubber suspension bushings on the front control arms were cracked and needed replacement. Since they only come with the control arms they would all need to be replaced. He also told me that I needed to replace both door lock assemblys on the truck, Robert then gave me a price of $4291.21 for the repairs. If I gave my OK, he could get right on it. I indicated that I was a little taken aback by the cost for all these repairs since I had just brought my truck in for routine service and it did not exhibit any signs related to these issues. (Never a drop of oil or fluid in my driveway, for example). He did not have any information regarding the brake pads, something I specifically asked for them to check. Robert then indicated that if I wanted to have all the work done he would be able to work with me on the amount of the repairs. I said no thank you and asked for him to call me when the work I had authorized was complete and I would pick up the truck. After a little while, a gentlemen name Steve called me and wanted to discuss the additional repairs on my truck. Steve wanted to know what it would take to get acceptance of the repairs, he said "Bud", what's it going to take for you to approve these repairs? I would like to work with you". I asked what he meant? He stated the original extimate for all the work was $4291.21 but he would like to "work with me" and "keep his guys busy" so he quoted me a total cost of $2883.31. I told him I didn't want the additional repairs and call me when my truck was ready to pick up. If this is Sands' Chevrolet standard business practice I will take my business elsewhere. I believe the company is more concerned with the bottom line rather than what is good for the customer. More

Wonderful Service I just had my car in for a recall. My service advisor was wonderful and very respectful as well as helpful. I would have given them 5 stars, only I just had my car in for a recall. I would have given them 5 stars, only for the fact that they usually wash my car after every service but this time when it was washed it looked like the dirt was just smeared around the car and only made it look worse. Not the fault of the service center but thought the should have paid closer attention. More
