However, since it took so long the loan continued to accrue interest. After payoff there was still a balance of $56.92 which if the loan had been paid off sooner, there would have been no balance. I left a message for the General Manager about that overage and requested they pay it but once again what I got was "crickets". In all fairness after I spoke with him the first time about the payoff the loan was paid off in 1 business day. But that took 9 phone calls, 3 emails to the dealership and 2 trips to the credit union to get that accomplished. That is the only reason my rating was 2 stars instead 1. More

On December 8th, 2024 I traded in a 2024 Camry Hybrid for a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid Limited at Sandia Toyota. I did not get a good deal. Mostly my fault but I felt rushed. What's amazing is that Mel Benally, the sa a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid Limited at Sandia Toyota. I did not get a good deal. Mostly my fault but I felt rushed. What's amazing is that Mel Benally, the sales person just disappeared after the sale. This also happened at American Toyota when I purchased the 2024 Camry Hybrid in February 2024. They don’t seem to know you once you drive off the lot and they’ve received their commission nor do they feel any responsibility to respond to calls or emails. I was promised window tint for the entire vehicle only for me to find out it’s only the 2 front windows (rest is already tinted glass). After a week and a half of Mel not returning phone calls or emails, I called and spoke with someone else. Mel called 2 days later to setup tint appt. That is finally done. More importantly and still unresolved as of 01/07/25, one month later the Camry loan has still not been paid off by you. I have now had to make two $1000 payments on a car that you possess. I am out $2000 because your finance department doesn’t seem to think it is necessary to be expedient to pay off the loan to avoid me having to make payments on a car that I no longer have possession of and for you to get the title for that car. It has now been a full month and many phone calls, emails and visits and still no resolution. I have notified Nusenda Credit Union several times and was told they didn’t have any paperwork from you. Finally, on 12/31/24 I went to Nusenda to see what could be done about getting the Camry loan paid off. They called at least 3 times that day without satisfactory or any responses. It has now been sent up to their management. I have never had this much trouble or aggravation buying, financing or getting a loan paid off since I started buying cars in 1973. What is going on at your dealership? Why should this be so difficult and take so long? At the very least I am owed $2000 by Sandia Toyota. Please contact me. More
