Malfunction Warning Light came on and Service Transmission We brought in our Jeep because both the service transmission light and malfunction lights came on and the car was sputtering, seemed serious to me. W We brought in our Jeep because both the service transmission light and malfunction lights came on and the car was sputtering, seemed serious to me. We turned in the car on a Friday and got a rental car. It ended up needing a software update which is considered "routine maintenance" so the warranty and rental car isn't covered. I asked the service manager that if it is routine maintenance do I need to bring it in ASAP and stop driving it. He said not to drive and bring in right away. THAT IS NOT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE! Routine maintenance is oil change, etc. something you schedule ahead of time, not URGENT repair needed. While speaking to the manager he said he would take care of the rental car but then his advisor called me and said he didn't realize we had the car for 4 days, he thought it was one day. I was told we needed to pay $75, REALLY, he didn't have the guts to call me but passed it on. For $75 they have lost a customer, with three more years on an extended warranty, that will try a new Jeep dealer. We ended up paying for the rental car and we told we needed a new $360 battery without further explanation. The car is 4 years old but only 12,000 miles on it. Who are we to argue so we said yes. Service was really amazing. I hate taking my car in to get fixed, but Liz made it a super easy process. I didn’t have to pay as much, or wait as long, as I thought I would have to. Would love to write a positive review about CDJR; however I would love to write a positive review about CDJR on Camino Del Rio South in San Diego, however I have yet to have a positive experience with them si I would love to write a positive review about CDJR on Camino Del Rio South in San Diego, however I have yet to have a positive experience with them since I purchased my Jeep Cherokee from them in September of 2019. My first issue with CDJR was the alarm system I had purchased with them for the new car. This issue was quickly and professionally resolved by one of the managers. Unfortunately I do not remember her name as she stands head and shoulders above the young arrogant manager from the finance dept I dealt with on my most recent visit. The second issue I had with CDJR on Camino Del Rio South in San Diego was with the maintenance package I purchased with the new vehicle. When I purchased the maintenance package I was told that the service plan would be mailed to me within 30 days. One month passed and I had still yet to receive the maintenance service plan. After multiple phone calls and voice mails left, I did receive a call back from a manager informing me that they no longer mail the maintenance service plan/schedule and to use the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. This was a satisfactory answer as the maintenance schedule is listed in the owners manual. So, following the maintenance schedule in the owners manual I brought the car in for its first oil change and tire rotation. The service writer named james said only the oil change is covered and that I would have to pay for the tire rotation. I showed james the service/maintenance schedule in my owners manual that stated tires would be rotated during each oil change. James informed me that the service plan I had purchased only covered the oil change and that tires are only covered at 10K mile intervals despite what was printed in the service schedule of my owners manual. I again referred james to the maintenance schedule in the manual and informed him again that I had purchased the maintenance package with the vehicle and was told this is the list of covered services. James then downloaded and printed a copy of the maintenance plan I had purchased in September of 2019 and had been requesting since October of 2019 and had still not seen prior to this day as I was told to follow the service schedule in the owners manual and had accepted this as a satisfactory answer. After much back and forth and no resolution with James, he referred me to the finance dept who was even less helpful. Finance Dept's response was I can call corporate and complain to the them. Needless to say my tires did not get rotated that day. I caution all customers who are considering purchasing a maintenance plan to insist on receiving a copy of the services prior to purchasing the plan and do not accept the answer that it will be mailed to you. This will prevent you from being misinformed as I was. I would love to one day write a positive review about my experience at CDJR on Camino Del Rio South in San Diego, but for now that has yet to happen. More

Jeeps are bad, service is worse In the Jeep community, there is no in between. You either love them or hate them! The reputation of jeeps are terrible and I was adamant that my wife In the Jeep community, there is no in between. You either love them or hate them! The reputation of jeeps are terrible and I was adamant that my wife buy a different vehicle. Long story short, this Jeep has been nothing but headaches from day 1 (2011 wrangler sport unlimited). First 5 years were under warranty, so you just deal with it. Afterwards, every year it’s another $1500 repair. This vehicle is used for highway driving, never has it been off road but it constantly breaks down. To add insult to injury, the service is absolutely the worst. The staff is probably aware that the product is garbage and are morally defeated trying to rationalize it to the customers. They often come across as not caring all that much, kinda like “whatever “. There is no need to go into specific as you can see from all the other negative reviews. This product is GARBAGE, service is bad and that will be the first and last Jeep product my family will ever own. My honest opinion/advice to the unsuspecting buyers, for the sake of your hard earned money, consider a different vehicle than a Jeep. But if money and time spent at the repair shop isn’t an issue, good luck. More
Extremely poor service at this dealership. Had a recurring issue with my 18 Wrangler under warranty. Repeated visits every 2 days over the course of a couple months. Service dept broke my windshield recurring issue with my 18 Wrangler under warranty. Repeated visits every 2 days over the course of a couple months. Service dept broke my windshield, didn’t replace it, and ended up getting verbally snippy/unprofessional with me when their online survey reviews reflected their service “performance”. In the end, their ineptitude and attitude caused me to take the vehicle with less than 10k miles and trade it in for another brand. Would not recommend or return. More
We took our car in to get the battery replaced under warranty. SEVEN days later, the battery still hadn't been replaced as they said they couldn't find one and it would take another ten days to get one warranty. SEVEN days later, the battery still hadn't been replaced as they said they couldn't find one and it would take another ten days to get one (btw, we found one in Poway but no one from this dealership would go there to get it), the "service" department wouldn't return our calls, and ultimately we just asked that they jump start the car so we could take it to the Poway dealership to get the job done. Seriously?! Service department is a misnomer. More
