Took my car in for the regular 10K service. They found the battery in bad shape thus changed it on the warranty. this was great. As I made it home, my challenger sent me an email that there is a major pr the battery in bad shape thus changed it on the warranty. this was great. As I made it home, my challenger sent me an email that there is a major problem with the charging system and the BREAKS!!!!! the email said to call the service center immediately and to refrain from driving the car (one year old) which i did. This was 4 days ago and I left my service advisor voicemail and also left a msg with their operator who wasn't helpful or curious at all. No one gave a xxxx till this minute to return my call even though I made them aware the car is dangerous to drive as per the email notification the UConnect system provides. More

Disconnected battery scam I brought in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler and received terrible service. James D was the advisor who assisted me. The reason I brought in my vehicle was because it has been throwing a code for years now. When I originally called to set up the appointment, I mentioned the problem I was having and asked if it was something that would be covered by a warranty, and the phone agent said I would have to make an appointment to have the car diagnosed and then we could see if it was something covered by the warranty. I made the appointment and brought in my vehicle. This is when I met James. I explained the problem with my vehicle to James, he said the mechanics should be able to diagnose the problem and fix it as well as help out with some recall repairs that needed to be taken care of. Awesome, exactly what I was hoping for. James called me around 11 AM and gave me the diagnosis and quotes for repairs. I asked if my warranty would cover any of the repairs and he said the warranty expired in 2018. Unfortunate. When James gave me that news, I was disappointed, but I was ok with it, I trusted James, and 5 years from 2013-2018 for a warranty seems reasonable. I explained to him I could buy the parts and do the repairs myself and that I appreciated the diagnosis and the service I received and I would come by to pick up my vehicle after work. I arrived to the dealership shortly after 5 to pick up my Jeep. As we were finalizing the paperwork and payment, James mentioned that he needed to tell them to bring my vehicle around and that they might have to jump start it because my battery was dead. This was news to me. My battery had been replaced about a year ago and I expected to get at least another year of life out of it. I asked James how that could be? He explained that it was probably because of all the aftermarket wiring I had in there that needed to be replaced. He also explained they had been trying to charge it since he knew I was coming in to pick it up but they were unable to get a charge into it because it was completely dead. I explained do have some additional wiring. For a CB radio and a light bar. I have not used either for years, and would not be drawing energy from the battery. His response to this was, "Are you saying we made your battery die? Because I can tell you that is just not the case." This caught me a bit off guard. I explained, "no, I am not saying you guys killed my battery, I am asking how it can be possible that I dropped it off and the vehicle was functioning and you are returning it to me not functioning in the driveway and asking me to take care of it? And how come you did not mention this to me when we spoke on the phone earlier or at least prior to me coming in?" He then reiterated that the dead battery was my problem due most likely to the poor quality after-market wiring that I had connected to the battery and that he did not know what to tell me because I did not even get the repairs I brought the Jeep in for. He also explained he did not tell me beforehand because "they," had just told him about the battery. At this point, I knew I was not getting anywhere with James. Luckily AAA arrived in about 20 minutes. The technician checked the battery connection and asked me to try to start it and my Jeep immediately started. I asked him what he did, and he explained the terminal was loose. He did a quick check of the battery charge and gave me a printout showing the battery still had half its life of use left. So, how is this possible? This is completely unacceptable service. At best, James and the mechanics who worked on the vehicle were inept at servicing my vehicle. I do not even what to speculate at what another reason for my experience might have been, but I certainly have some ideas. I will not be using their services again. I will be able to fix all the issues on my vehicle for 1/10th the price in a single afternoon. More
DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM SAN DIEGO JEEP CDJR!!!! WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Highly recommend that you do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I had been speaking with a sales WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Highly recommend that you do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I had been speaking with a sales rep (MJ) for 2-3 days about purchasing a car on their lot and had taken care of most of the negotiations through the phone. I told the sales rep that I would be at the dealership in 2 hours since I had to drive from Orange County and asked if there was anything else I needed to do before I left my house to make sure the deal was locked in. He re-assured me that there was nothing else I needed to do and the paper work would be ready for me. I receive a phone call (not from my sales rep) about 10 minutes before I arrive at the dealership letting me know that the car I was coming to get had just been purchased by someone else and then being told by (Stan) "it is what it is man... we dont have any loyalty to you... first come first serve, have a good day". I continued to show up at the dealership since I had just driven for almost 2 hours hoping that they would have another car for me and offer another deal... I was treated extremely rudely when I showed up at the dealership, the sales rep that I had been speaking to left the dealership and ignored all of my calls. There are plenty of other dealerships in the socal area. DO NOT GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP YOUR BUSINESS!!!! More

Then we’re told our original finance guy was the only one who could fix the ding dent protection. Several call and no response again has me frustrated. Looks like I will have to go there again in the hopes that someone can resolve this issue. More

Malfunction Warning Light came on and Service Transmission We brought in our Jeep because both the service transmission light and malfunction lights came on and the car was sputtering, seemed serious to me. W We brought in our Jeep because both the service transmission light and malfunction lights came on and the car was sputtering, seemed serious to me. We turned in the car on a Friday and got a rental car. It ended up needing a software update which is considered "routine maintenance" so the warranty and rental car isn't covered. I asked the service manager that if it is routine maintenance do I need to bring it in ASAP and stop driving it. He said not to drive and bring in right away. THAT IS NOT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE! Routine maintenance is oil change, etc. something you schedule ahead of time, not URGENT repair needed. While speaking to the manager he said he would take care of the rental car but then his advisor called me and said he didn't realize we had the car for 4 days, he thought it was one day. I was told we needed to pay $75, REALLY, he didn't have the guts to call me but passed it on. For $75 they have lost a customer, with three more years on an extended warranty, that will try a new Jeep dealer. We ended up paying for the rental car and we told we needed a new $360 battery without further explanation. The car is 4 years old but only 12,000 miles on it. Who are we to argue so we said yes. More
