This dealership seemed nice at first but found out I was lied to by the salesman and his manager. I was first contacted by someone at the dealership telling me they wanted to buy my used car (Grand Cherokee lied to by the salesman and his manager. I was first contacted by someone at the dealership telling me they wanted to buy my used car (Grand Cherokee), I looked at their inventory and liked one, Same Grand Cherokee but different color and a 4X4 this time. After negotiating back and forth the salesman asked me if I was interested in leasing the car instead. I've never leased a car before so I had no idea how a lease works but told him no because we travel a lot and I would never stay under the miles for the lease. The salesman and the manager assured me that the miles would not matter as long as I came back to their dealer and traded it in for another car they would forgive the excess miles and void all fees, so they suggested I take the package with the least amount of miles in order to get the lowest monthly payment. 3 years later I go in to try and trade it in and I am now being told they cannot void the fees and the deal must have been some kind of misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding, I was plain out lied to in order to make the sale and now I am stuck with a lease that is WAY over the miles that I'm going to have to pay a ton of fees on even though I wanted to trade for another car with them. They would not make it right even though someone at their dealership was in the wrong and did not even want to negotiate with me, they let me walk out after being there less than an hour. I should have known the deal would not stand since I asked the manager to please put it in writing and he kept making excuses and refused. The people that work there are nice but just make sure you are careful when you make a deal, they will do anything to make the sale and do not care about customer loyalty. More
I'm from Denver and was in San Diego dropping my daughter off at college when I received a coolant warning light. Not wanting to drive 1200 miles through the dessert with a potential issue I attempt daughter off at college when I received a coolant warning light. Not wanting to drive 1200 miles through the dessert with a potential issue I attempted to get a last minute service. Got an appointment at Kearny Mesa Dodge, but when I arrived they said they could not look at my truck for three days and would not help at all. I went to S.D Dodge where Service Advisor Turner "GeGe" took great care of me, she had a mechanic look at my truck and I was out in 30 minutes and back on the road. I would like to thank GeGe for the outstanding customer service and understanding. I would highly recommend this dealership and service center. More
My experience at the dealership itself was great. Quick service and they did solve my cars problem. However, it took 6 months to get my part which they did not clearly express to me in the beginning Quick service and they did solve my cars problem. However, it took 6 months to get my part which they did not clearly express to me in the beginning or throughout those 6 months. I called nearly every week with no response. I really just wanted a gauge of how long it would be until I got the part. I was initially told it could take days or a month or two. I did not expect 6 months and was not kept in the loop at all. Diagnosed my vehicle as needing a new Selectrac switch. Quoted 500 for the switch and 800 for the labor. Inspected the switch myself and it was unplugged. Switch worked fine when plugged back in. Mechanic Quoted 500 for the switch and 800 for the labor. Inspected the switch myself and it was unplugged. Switch worked fine when plugged back in. Mechanic obviously did not inspect the switch when performing the diagnostic. I requested my diagnostic fee back and haven’t heard from them since. I called repeatedly and they don’t answer. More
The dealership was wonderful, specifically, Gigi. She took meticulous notes of symptoms I described and assured me tha the best tech (Mike) would be able to suceessfully diagnose the problem(s). Comm She took meticulous notes of symptoms I described and assured me tha the best tech (Mike) would be able to suceessfully diagnose the problem(s). Communications was excellent, and she explaned what my Max care extended warranty covered. I came here because another local dealership had such a huge backlog. Glad I came here. I will return, if I need future service. Thank you! More

I dropped off my 2015 Jeep Patriot on October 5, 2023 due to a small ticking noise. I have been a customer here since I purchased my vehicle brand new off the lot April 12, 2015. I took my car here for every to a small ticking noise. I have been a customer here since I purchased my vehicle brand new off the lot April 12, 2015. I took my car here for every maintenance issue, every problem. EVERY TIME. The first few years were great. My service tech was Liz and she was fantastic. Once she left, the good service ended and the problems began. This last time was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. The dealership had my vehicle for months. Literal months. In the first month I had over 30 phone calls, texts and emails that went unanswered by Paul Correia. These are all documented and I informed the service manager Gabriel Ceballas. Gabe apologized but the behavior from the dept continued. After 2 months of no status, Paul calls me and tells me that that MOPAR warranty claim was DENIED. I immediately went to the dealership to try to understand why, when I clearly had followed all protocols with the maintenance of my vehicle. I spoke to Gabe and he looked up my vehicle and tells me that there has not even been an MOPAR inspection at this point and he did not know why I was told that. Paul calls me from literally the other side of a glass wall-meaning he can clearly see me in Gabes office-to tell me that the MOPAR inspector was on his way to inspect my vehicle! The inspector shows up and Paul puts me and the inspector on the spot by saying oh this is the customer. I explained that I was not there to question the inspector, but to try to glean any information on what is going on with my car and why the tech will not respond to my inquiries. Approximately a week later, after I had to contact MOPAR because the dealership refused to respond to me, I was told that the warranty was going to be paying out my vehicle and I would receive a check. Why this check was going to the dealership and not directly to me was beyond comprehension. I paid the dealership for the diagnosis-which seemed like it should have been part of the warranty and at that point the dealership basically washed their hands of the situation. For the next month, I attempted to get a status and not one person from the dealership or Mopar would help. Mopar had previously given me a date that the check was supposedly mailed but it did not matter at all to the dealership that it never showed up. I finally showed up to the dealership in person to find out what I needed to do. I explained the situation to the person outside and he went to talk to the service manager Alex Paralta. Alex didn’t even bother to come out and speak to me. He sent the guy out with a business card that he had written on the back the address of Sun Road Auto’s business office. Not once had anyone ever mentioned that the check would go there first. I showed up at the Business office and a very kind person, Karen Doherty, listened and took charge of the situation. This was in December. She called Mopar repeatedly until she got information. After weeks of no check showing up after it was supposedly sent to the dealership, Mopar finally reissued the check and I finally received it in February. Over 4 months later! Meanwhile I was not given a rental, a loaner vehicle or anything. I was forced to pay for a rental for 2 months. I received no reimbursement for anything I was out of pocket on. With the check, I barely broke even after paying travel expenses for the entire time and the diagnosis fees. They didn’t even put the vehicle back together because I didn’t have another $2000 to pay for it. I WAS a loyal customer. I was fully prepared to purchase a new vehicle from SDCDJR but the treatment I received has convinced me that my patronage did not matter at all to the dealership and I will be sure to let anyone I know looking for a car to look elsewhere.
