I've been using Sam Pierce for two years to service my Chevy purchased from another local large name dealer that I had constant bad experiences with. So I decided to purchase a new car and went straight to Sam Pierce, a couple hours and I was back home with my new car. Very happy and I've been able to easily get help with any questions I've had since then. I would highly recommend Sam Pierce and Rob Spencer More

Sam Pierce put Passenger Tires on a 2500HD Truck We bought a used Chevy 2500HD truck from Sam Pierce Chevrolet with brand new tires on it. Having not thought anything else about it after our purchase We bought a used Chevy 2500HD truck from Sam Pierce Chevrolet with brand new tires on it. Having not thought anything else about it after our purchase, one day I was pulling our 7,000 lb rated tandem axle utility trailer with several ATVs on it to an offroad event when a belt broke in our right rear tire causing severe vibration in the truck and trailer. I took the truck to a local Tire and Service center very upset and confused as to how 4 tires that looked virtually new with lots of tread wear left could have broken a belt like that. The service person said he was very surprised too, it can happen, but it is very rare. He scanned my vehicle information for tire replacement information and says, Well this explains alot, I don't know how to tell you this, but this truck requires LT tires on it and these are all Passenger tires, no wonder it blew a belt, these tires are nowhere near rated for these loads. I thought there is no way that could be so, I checked the door placard tire rating minimums and physically looked at all the tires, and sure enough Sam Pierce had put 4 Passenger tires on a 3/4 ton 2500HD pickup truck. I told him to replace the one tire for now because I need the truck now. He said legally and for liability purposes, he could not touch the wheel because this truck requires LT tires all the way around, if a tire blew and there was an accident, they could be held liable for it. He then said, you need to call the dealership you bought this truck from and tell them to fix this, because they have made a huge mistake and never should have put these Passenger tires on this truck. I physically had to take the wheel off the truck myself, give it to him, he put new tire on it, gave it back to me, and I had to put it back on the truck myself. I contacted the Serv Mgr at Sam Pierce after the weekend and explained what had happened thinking they would gladly reimburse me for the tire 1 had replaced and pay to have me go down to have the other 3 tires Passenger tires replaced. Serv Mgr said he would speak to the Gen Mgr, and they would get back with me. I received a call back from Serv Mgr saying he spoke with Gen Mgr, who spoke with the owner Sam Pierce and stated they would be willing to reimburse me for the 1 one tire with the ruptured belt but that was it. I was in utter shock and disbelief! I told him, you do realize you should be thankful and thrilled to replace these tires ASAP, because if we had a blowout in an accident and our family had been hurt or killed, you would have one major lawsuit on your hands. Gen Mgr said he spoke with owner Sam Pierce who stood by his original decision and sent me a tire replacement check for the one tire. I am still completely baffled how they can admit wrong doing, dodge a bullet with a lawsuit on the one tire, but not replace the other 3 that they wrongfully put on my truck that are just as much of a liability. The 4 tires that they either accidentally, deliberately, or negligently put on my truck is a drop in the bucket compared to potential millions lost in a lost suit if one of us were killed. I still can't wrap my head around their decision in this. If I do not get a satisfactory response from the Sam Pierce Chevrolet dealership, I will notify GM or their gross negligent practices, the BBB, and then to Court if necessary. It is no longer about the monetary replacement of the tires, it has now become about sheer principle, moral, and ethical value, which appears this company, has Not. More
