I live over 200 miles from the sam pack dealership. however i had specific needs for the vehicle i wanted and Dwight Sterns and Sam Pack more than met those needs. Due to this i chose to drive the 4.5 however i had specific needs for the vehicle i wanted and Dwight Sterns and Sam Pack more than met those needs. Due to this i chose to drive the 4.5 hours to do buisness with them. I made the deal with mr. sterns over the phone on 10/08/10. I informed him that I would be driving up on the saturday the 9th to pick up the vehicle, not to negotiate so all negotiation needed to be done over the phone. A price was agreed to and delivery of my 2011 ford edge limited arranged. I had previously secured finacing through my credit union and had a letter of approval along with drafting instructions to present to them, which I informed to Mr. Sterns. Upon arriving at the dealership after a 4.5 hour drive. we were not greeted, nor were we offered any refreshments, water, soda or anything. The lady at front desk never even addressed us and we wandered around the dealership until we found the restroom. I met mr. Sterns and inspected the vehicle. Then i was told by the finance person that I would not be allowed to leave with the vehicle because they believed that my finance information from the credit union could be fraudulent, and since the credit union was closed they would wait until tuesday and deliver the truck to me. I was livid! 1. That they assumed I would commit fraud. 2. They had all day friday to verify with the credit union. 3. I was being told i had just wasted a whole day of my life. Needless to say after much discussion and being told i was a liar and a fraud. They then stated that all they needed to do was talk to someone from the credit union to verify the letter was legit. So my credit union loan officer called me and spoke with the manager and the finance person. who asked is the approved with no problems. "yes" okay then. Now it was approved for me to take the truck. Needless to say they still had no verification, i could have called my best friend to say she was a credit union rep. they did nothing to verfiy the legitimacy of the caller. This proved to me that the letter was not the problem but the fact that I was black female, with horrible credit, with a loan approval at my discretion. I am not just throwing the race card out there. I was told that they were just be extra careful about possible losing a vehicle. Yet while i was there I witnessed a white lady and two teenagers leave in a mustang without a sales person with them. It does not appear that they are extra careful. I feel that knowing i coming from over 200 miles away a Good salesperson and Dealership which should put the satisfaction of the customer first would have made sure that they had everything they required prior to the customer arriving. I feel not only was this neglegent of the dealership but it was also humiliating and traumatic for me and my family to sit there be called liars. In additon to this the friendliness and customer appreciation of the dealership is non existent. I truly regret giving my buisness to this dealership. If it weren't for the deal i was given on the truck I would have walked away without it, just so that i could offer my buisness elsehwere. Ford should be ashamed to have Sam Pack and co. representing them. More
I came to Ford Country after visiting several other Ford dealerships in the area, only to look and get a good feel of the pricing of a new F150 and trade-in value for my '06 Mini Cooper. What I experienced was about as awesome of an experience as one could want for a new car/truck purchase. As we all know, purchasing a vehicle in today’s market takes several hours to days, depending on the situation. I was left alone in the lot to look over the huge selection of F150's without interruption, this was most appreciated, finally I found THE ONE, everything I was looking for and some stuff that I wasn't, a certain bonus for sure. If I wasn't left alone to look, I would have left the dealership as I did on several other dealerships, knowing there are plenty to choose from and who wants to put up with vultures anyway? From time it took to decide which vehicle I was interested in, to the time I got a negotiated deal, including my trade, was only about an hour, it was then I realized I could not walk from this deal, it was THE ONE and the price was spot on. I walked away with the F150 of my choice, no interruptions or vulture type sales, just honest, straight forward people. I will certainly make it a point to tell everyone I know about this pleasant experience in hopes that they too can do the same. Thank you Ford Country, specifically you, Gregg Jones, for everything...!!! More
Buying a new car is sometimes a hassell but the guys at Ford Country in Lewisville may it a great experience. All of these buying experiences have been pleasant and hassle free experiences but the two dealings with Tony Fuentes and his team of Dwight Starnes and the rest have been exceptional. Tony is honest, sincere, very open and above board in his dealings and I think he runs one of the best automobile dealerships, if not the best, that I have ever done business with. His sales and support staff reflect that same attitude and personna of honest dealing and superior customer service. It is nice to have a "good friend" in the car business. More

Consequently, we were able to get a deal done on the new 2010 Expedition EL in record time without any typical dealership games and hassles.
