I would have to say that this new purchase was as close to a perfect engagement as anyone could expect. I was in and out of the dealership, driving away in my new F-250 in 39 minutes. Though I did have a couple of phone conversations prior to visiting the sales office, this experience exceeded my highest expectations and I may have set a new world record for quickest purchase ;>). Tom Martin was friendly, thorough and efficient and I truly could not have asked for anything more. This is my 4th. vehicle that I have purchased from Sam Pack and the experience just keeps getting better. I am a customer for life. Another reason, maybe the main reason, that I continue doing business there is the on-going service after the sale. My Service Manager, Paul Schroeder, is the best of the best. He truly makes me feel that I am special and treats me with the utmost in professionalism and provides me the highest quality of service. I won't let anyone but Paul handle any form of maintenance on my vehicle. I would highly recommend this team of Tom and Paul for anyone wanting to purchase a new Ford and maintain the vehicle in top condition for many years after purchase. Michael was very helpful both before my wife and I visited the dealership and during. Unexpectedly also after the sale was complete. I had previously contacted Michael about a Fusion and he happil visited the dealership and during. Unexpectedly also after the sale was complete. I had previously contacted Michael about a Fusion and he happily showed us several that met our criteria, we test drove the pick of the litter and then asked him about an Escape. He took that in stride and showed us several and we test drove one. No contest it was the Escape hands down. We bought the one we drove too. In the past, at ANOTHER (non-FORD) dealer, I actually had someone take the keys for my current car (to appraise it) and tell me they could not find them so I had to buy their car. Needless to say a threat to call the police returned my keys quickly and I have never returned. To give a bit of history, I have owned six Fords since moving to Texas about 25 years ago. One was a used Van, one came from a dealship across town (near to where I lived at the time) the rest from Ford Country of Lewisville. A Ranger, a T-Bird, a Crown Victoria, a Mustang GT, and now an Escape. You are not my closest dealership just the best. In my opinion, the customer service you provide at your dealship is second to none. I have talked to others, I feel pressured and forced into decisions I don't want to make. Your dealership treats me with respect and grace and seems to know the decision in the end is mine. I really cannot find fault with anything you do or the various salesmen I have worked with. Michael was the best so far and under extremely adverse conditions. He had two families at the time both requiring his attention and making purchases. He dealt with it with grace and style. He provided a second salesman for reference if we felt the need. Basically he did everything he could to make us feel wanted and accepted and not like we were sharing him with others. I have been in sales that's tough to pull off effectively but Michael is up to the task. I continually recommend FORD in general (Your company business practice of having management take a cut in salary rather then go belly up like some Manufacturers that will remain nameless moved us to stick with FORD) Your dealership in particular gets recommended often because it serves my needs with an excellence that cannot be touched. I have never had a problem that was not resolved immediately and with concern for me. Your sales force is great, and care and concern after sale cannot be beat. Your service department could have broken the deal long ago had they not also been responsive to my every need. They are and I feel in good hands dealing with them as well. We used the USAA car buying service which was easy and efficient. The USAA site led us to Sam Pac and Dennis Gooding. The overall service from the dealer was excellent and the personal touch by Dennis was exceptional. After having visited with two other dealerships in the Lewisville area, we found that Jim Houghton was the most down to earth, and friendliest salesperson we encountered. After listening to what we were looking for, he worked to find one in the area and bring it to the dealership for us to look at. The pricing was very straightforward, he didn't try to hide anything as he thoroughly explained what each value represented and why we were eligible for this discount, etc. We feel we got a very fair deal on our trade-in which helped seal the deal. Once we got to Finance, it was a little discouraging when the paperwork we completed was not entered into the computer accurately, delaying our processing, but it was quickly resolved and we were able to drive off the lot with our shiny new truck. Buying a vehicle is a very stressful activity, as you are wanting to get just the right one and you know you'll be spending a lot of money in the process. Jim made the experience a good one. More
