Deceiving, Corrupt, Bribery Run as fast as you can and don't look back. Our children found the SUV with everything they were looking for at Sam Lehman in Bloomington IL. Thursda Run as fast as you can and don't look back. Our children found the SUV with everything they were looking for at Sam Lehman in Bloomington IL. Thursday 1/1/2015 an appointment was made for them to come purchase this SUV on Saturday 1/3/2015. Over the next two days a salesman from their other dealership in Peoria, IL communicated back and forth several times that he had a buyer for the vehicle they were bringing with them to trade. He stated that since he found a buyer already that our children would be offered more money for their trade. It was said to him several times " if you have sold my trade for me but the SUV we are buying is at your other lot then which lot do I come to?" He stated it was best to come to his lot and he would go get the SUV. The first time he said he would have it waiting in Peoria when they arrived. The second time he said he could go get it once they arrived. In the mean time the other salesman from Bloomington called and asked for a deposit on the SUV because someone else may want it. The salesman in Peoria assured us that the other salesman was just trying to bribe us and that he had no authority to do that and assured our children to come and the SUV would be there for the purchase. Our children which are grown and married now (late 20's) traveled 750 miles to buy a vehicle that was agreed on at Sam Leman. Spoke with the dealership 3 times during the morning travel there.. Confirming arrival time and the vehicle of purchase etc. Once they arrived at the dealership at 1pm they sit for an hour and half waiting on the checkout/deal process. The salesman came by the office several times to assure it wouldn't be much longer and the managers were just finishing up the paperwork and working on the out of state taxes. Offered them something to drink while they waited. (We are on Skype the whole time back home incase our children had any questions while making a big purchase so far from home). Some more time goes by and the salesman comes back in and says sorry guys but one of our other dealerships sold the vehicle you were getting at 9:30 this morning. Then said I can try to find you one similar. He even pulled another SUV up and said what about this one? Sorry but why travel that far to get something they didn't want? I think he thought if he could just get them there after traveling that far then surely they would buy something. No managers came out to apologize or anything. I am not sure if they were even aware of this dirty deal but if they were then they are all just as ridiculous. I would not send my worst enemy there or ever wish this upon anyone. We are sad to see our children were victims of such filthy con artists. More
