I was there a few days ago to test drive a ford car, and I was supposed to deal with Jason, per my auto adviser. After I showed up, Jason was no where to be found, I waited by his deslk for a good 10-15 min when I finally saw him coming back to the showroom with another guy. Jason never said hi to me or anything. He complained that he was in on his day off, and when I asked him where my car was to test drive, he told me flat out he had no idea. I got pissed and rushed out. At that point, I called my adviser to complain about this event, to which my adviser gave the dealership their due "balling out". Later that afternoon, Jason calls me and leaves me a voicemail, apologizing, and asking me if I care to come back and that they'd make the numbers work for me on the loan. Today, I get another email from Jason asking if I'm still interested in the same car. Now that I'm all calmed down, I let him know I'll be there by 10:am, to which I arrive just before then, and Jason greets me with a hi at his desk. he lets me know the car's outside, ready for the test ride. He gives me the keys to get in the car while I wait for my auto adviser to show up. Just before I take the car out, my car guy arrives and gets in the car with me for the test drive. test drive is good, but I tell my car guy that the car could use new tires. To make a longer story short, they didn't come down on their numbers until AFTER I got home, and my car guy advises me that they put the car in the shop after I left, and it's ready to go, but NO new tires. I advised my auto adviser from my credit union that I refuse to go back there and he agreed, though he told me yesterday that he had put this dealership on "probation" after what they put me through the other day. My search goes on, and I'll NEVER go back to Salem Ford again. More

They said that "as long as I had a trade in", I wouldn't need to "put any money down". 10 minutes later, sales rep comes back and brings a, entirely different, "puke" green hatchback with high mileage out and told me " this is the car that the bank would work with me on". Hello? Did you not listen to my initial request? Complete misrepresentation for people with bruised credit. They won't help unless you go through "Santander" bank. Due to Santanders unsrupulous acts, I will never do business with them. 2 hours later, another dealership called me, I told them my experience. I'm picking up my NEW car tomorrow. Too bad for you Salem Ford Hyundai for not living up to your commitment. More

After three visits to place the covers on correctly, and three unsuccessful attempts, I discovered why the pieces were still loose. There were screws missing and I had to show the service tech where to place them. While showing him I asked what the "goop" was that I found on the plastic and was told that the piece was so loose he tried to superglue it. I wrote a two-page email to the dealership expressing my disappointment and concerns I had if they ever had to fix a more difficult piece, like an engine, and have yet to receive a response. It's been four weeks since I sent the email, so I sent my concern to Ford Corporate. I also drive around Salem in my brand new truck with a sign in my window that reads, "SALEM FORD FIXED MY TRUCK WITH SUPERGLUE - CAREFUL WHERE YOU SHOP". How can I say anything good about this place? Yesterday, I went to Salem Ford with my checkbook in hand, to make an offer on a Fusion. The salesman, Dana, greeted me and then left me standing on the showroom floor for 45 minutes. If he were that busy, he should have told me and made an appointment for another time. Today, I gave the dealership a second chance. I walked in and approached a young fellow playing with his cell phone at a desk. He looked at me and said, "Wassup?" I asked if he was a salesman and he said he was, so we walked out to the car that interested me. When I mentioned that it had been sitting on the lot for a long time, he said sarcastically, "Does that concern you?" I thanked him and walked back to my car. If you're looking for a ghetto experience, you'll love this place. No management, no work ethic, no people skills, no business sense.....Salem Ford Hyundai. More

I asked a couple of The gentleman behind the service desk (sitting down all the time ) was rude and not very helpful. I felt like I was bothering him. I asked a couple of tough questions- is my car still under warranty, do you think you have the parts to fix problem? After he spent fifteen minutes on the computer he told me the warranty website was down. So I could sign the work order form for $200 plus dollars and if it is still under warranty it would be cover. Didn't feel too comfortable with that approach. Got home and contacted Auto Fair and within minutes they told me the car is still under warranty and they have the parts. By the way, there was a professional and pleasant person on the other end. I will never take my car there for service. More
The BEST and MOST HONEST dealer around!!!!! Hi my name is Alex D. and I just bought a 2015 competition orange Mustang GT from Dana Busby at Salem Ford Hyundai, and I will tell you he went out of Hi my name is Alex D. and I just bought a 2015 competition orange Mustang GT from Dana Busby at Salem Ford Hyundai, and I will tell you he went out of his way to find me this car that was way up in Maine, and get it! He called other dealers to see if they would do a dealer swap and finally found this one that would. He had called me back later on that night and told me the good news. I was in shock that first of all that he called back then, that he found one. I had told him give me a few minutes and I will call him back. I told him I would swing in the morning to make sure it had all the options I had wanted. Well when I had gotten there he had a 59 page print out with all the options Mustang's came with and what each package did. Later that night I called him and gave him a deposit over the phone. I told him I also wanted the car flatbed down not driven and that was no problem for them. I do have many other vehicles and have had cars shipped from all over the country to my house so I do get cars shipped really reasonable. Dana had called me with a price of $300. to deliver their car up there then pick up mine, and I had told him I had a price of $237. could they match that? He asked the sales manager James Kemos and Nancy Vega and they did. When the car was delivered we thought it should have different floor mats because of the 50th anniversary so they went and ordered a new set for me. Come to find out from some research I had done on how they ship some of these cars from the factory I asked Dana what happened (I kind of wanted to see what he would say, and if he would throw me some BS line) to my surprise he gave me an (honest and truthful answer and WOW you never ever see that from a sales person!) Well come to find out the mats were the right ones :) Upon pick up, the car was detailed to the max and was filled to the top with gas. Sorry for the long winded story but, I will buy all of my future cars and trucks from them!!! P.S I have shopped Autofair Ford, Londonderry Ford and the WORST OF ALL Hampton Ford Hyundai (they told me they would call me back with a price 4 times for a 2013 Roush Mustang they had that had been in a accident and had been fixed and was sitting in the showroom for 2 years and NEVER did!) Save you time and most of all your money and buy from Salem Ford Hyundai they ARE THE BEST!!!!! Thanks, Alex D. More
Disgusted 20 year Customer !!!!! This is a true story that just happened to me at SALEM FORD HYUNDAI !! I had up until this point had a great relationship here..I am so disgusted wit This is a true story that just happened to me at SALEM FORD HYUNDAI !! I had up until this point had a great relationship here..I am so disgusted with this place. Go right to the bottom for the quick synopsis !! On 4/1/13 I leased a Brand New 2013 f-150 XLT Crew Cab ecoboost from Salem Ford Hyundai. The truck was covered by The Standard FORD BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty. Well it had been snowing out heavily and the plows that were out had created quite a mess as I found out after trying to pull out of my friends driveway. I had just dropped off my friend and turned around in his large driveway and went to pull out when I got stuck in the mound of heavy snow at the end of the driveway that the plow had just left. So I do the same things that have got me out of every other stuck in snow situation for the past 28 years. I put the truck in 4x4 high and I just get a bunch of spinning there is a layer of ice under the snow so it wont make it over the hump and the Traction control is a joke and doesn't help. So I try rocking back and forth to get some movement and it eventually works Bang I'm out !!! So while rocking back and forth the 4x4 DRIVE SHAFT SNAPPED IN 2 ! So their amazing engineers claim it can't be a defect after only looking at pictures! They didn't even take the time to inspect it ! JOKE ENGINEERS ! WE LOOKED AT PICTURES TO MAKE THIS DETERMINATION ! INCOMPETENT TO SAY THE LEAST ! THAT IS IT FOLKS ! $$$ 750.00 $$$ THEY SAY WHAT I DID WAS CONSIDERED ABUSE !!!! YOUR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THIS BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED ABUSE... REALLY ? YOU SOLD ME A TRUCK IN NEW ENGLAND NOT FLORIDA WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ? So that is it folks I am a 20 + year Customer at this SALEM FORD DEALERSHIP. I bought a 89 FORD TEMPO Bought a 1993 FORD EXPLORER . I leased a 2000 EXPEDITION XLT, I bought a 2000 FORD RANGER XL . I BOUGHT a USED 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO FROM THEM. I BOUGHT A USED FORD E350 VAN . Finally I Leased a Brand New 2013 f-150 XLT Crew Cab ecoboost and apparently this was the last vehicle I will ever purchase from SALEM FORD. So in closing I am going to do everything in my power to bring this to light. I will go out of my way to make sure the entire Merrimack Valley knows about this. ****BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY ON MY LEASED FORD AND THEY STUCK ME WITH $750.00 REPAIR BILL BECAUSE THEY SAY IT WAS ABUSE. Ridiculous ! !! Driving in New England can be considered ABUSE ???? Be very careful I believe this has to be one of the worst SCAMS I have ever seen. So much for customer loyalty !!! THANKS SALEM FORD !!!! It cost you under $ 300 to Lose a Lifetime Salem Ford Customer !!!! Certainly appreciate the way you rewarded my customer loyalty !!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP AT SALEM FORD. So I purchased 5 or 6 Vehicles over a 25 year period...How many would I have purchased over the next 25 years with my children getting their licenses in the next year or 2 ? Where would I buy from? CHEVY HERE I COME !!!! BTW after driving both the SILVERADO and the FORD F150 I can honestly say the CHEVY WAS SIMPLY AWESOME FOR THE 10 YEARS I DROVE IT!! MY LOYALTY WAS WITH FORD AND I WENT BACK WHAT A MISTAKE !!!!!! I apologize for the rant but when I wrote this I was still pretty heated. Oh to add insult to injury A PLOW TRUCK CREAMED MY BUMPER WHILE IN THEIR PARKING LOT Getting the truck repaired !!! WHAT ??? YEP ! NEVER AGAIN SALEM FORD !! NEVER AGAIN !! Next Time Do The Right Thing and Stand Behind What You Sell !!! My Chevy Silverado Tolerated every winter this FORD F150 DIDN'T ?? Misleading Information I felt I was misinformed and misled about a number of things during the buying process. First, when I was test driving the Ford Fiesta sedan on May 30 I felt I was misinformed and misled about a number of things during the buying process. First, when I was test driving the Ford Fiesta sedan on May 30, the salesperson mentioned the cash incentives were going to end the next day (end of the month). But, I checked Ford's website afterwards and it was actually on July 7. I also asked about the extra charge for the Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat color on the vehicle, and the salesperson explained that there is an extra charge for every color, eventhough Ford actually charges extra for only specific colors. I would have settled for a different color to avoid the extra charge. Also, the salesperson gave me a Sirius satellite brochure explaining how the vehicle came with a 6 month free trial period, but that was not true. The vehicle did not even have satellite radio equipped. Plus, I did not even get the complimentary Ford Sync Services subscription either that usually comes with purchase. Another thing is the salesperson said he would call me as soon as my vehicle was registered and the license plates were ready. He did not do that, so I had to call the next day to find out for myself. I paid an extra $80 for that service that I could have just done myself. So I feel I was deceived with this misinformation just so I would buy the vehicle. Being misled, I felt pressured that I would lose out on a great deal if I did not put a down payment immediately. But now I feel I only got an average price, not a good price for the car. Plus, a few weeks later, the cash incentive for the Fiesta increased and was $250 more than what I got, which I am not too happy about either. Furthermore, I really was not in a rush to purchase a vehicle and wanted to consider other models like the Ford Focus sedan, which has a wider cabin and its price is comparable to what I paid for the Fiesta. I did not have the chance to consider the Focus because the salesperson put a lot of pressure on me to buy the Fiesta. Plus, the dealership did not have the Focus sedan trim I wanted in stock at the time, but of course they do currently. And after driving the Fiesta more, I realize it does not have sufficient legroom and hiproom as I thought. The seats are quite smaller than I first noticed and do not provide much leg support. So my legs get sore and cramp up if I drive longer than about 15 minutes. I regret purchasing the Fiesta from this dealership. I am unhappy with the price I paid and the salesperson. Because he misinformed and misled me, I do not trust this dealership now. And what really drives me crazy is the price of the Focus sedan at this dealership is about the same as what I paid for the Fiesta. More
