John Batt was the most professional and friendly salesperson I have ever dealt with. He explained the the various cars and how they compared to each other and other brands. He was clear about the salesperson I have ever dealt with. He explained the the various cars and how they compared to each other and other brands. He was clear about the pricing of the car we bought, the value of our trade-in, and the financing options available to me. After my purchase he fully explained the functions of the car and took me over to the service department and explained thier operation. I have been dealing with Bill Britt Mazda (this time) since 2002 and have not always been satisfied with the way some things were handled in the past. This time, however, on 2/22/12 things were definite since 2002 and have not always been satisfied with the way some things were handled in the past. My name is Theresa Morse an on 01/31/12 my vehicle was serviced for a variable valve timing noise, and timing chain noise per letter I recieved from Mazda North American Operations Technical Service Divis serviced for a variable valve timing noise, and timing chain noise per letter I recieved from Mazda North American Operations Technical Service Division 1444 McGaw Ave, Irvin, CA. Lisa Irvin assisted me at this time and she was very professional. I requested to speak with the service manager due to the bad experiences I have had at this Fredericksburg, VA Mazda dealership. Mrs. Irvin informed me she had just taken over as the new service manager due to bad experiences customers were having. After having my vehicle service a few days later the engine light come on, which has never come on before, so I automatically thought it was related to the service performed on 01/31/12. I was told to bring vehicle in which I did, and learn that Lisa Irvin is on maternity leave and that someone would call me with the finding, Well a couple hours later Bill Burt calls me to let me that a diagnosis test was performed and that the engine light was on due to one or two issues. The fluid injector or the computer in car needed to be reprogrammed, and that neither were under warranty. I stated to him that if a diagnosis test was performed it shouldn't give optiions but narrow it down to one main issue. He became agitated and started to yell and scream at me that I will not get my vehicle fix for free and neither issues were covered under warranty. I proceeded to explained that I never ask him to give me anything for free and asked him why was he being so rude and obnoxious. I wasjust there a few days ago to have my vehicle serviced and that I didn't have this problem with the engine light displaying before. When I asked him to allow me to speak to someone else other than hisself, because I will not allow him to speak to me in a disrepected and demeaning manner. Bill Burt states the he is the sevice director and that I could not speak to anyone else, because their is not one above him but the good lord. I was shocked and appalled by this person's unprofessional behavior and i expressed this to him. Bill Burt proceeded to repeat himself about there being no one I needed to speak to but him.I decided to end the conversation with him by hanging up the telephone. I immediately phoned the Irvin California office to make a complaint against this Bill Burt person. Tom asssited me with my complaint he took down my information and said he would place a call to the Fredericksburg Mazda, and would call me back. Well he did and this issue was handled in a couple hours which didn't resort to someone being insulted, yelled at and demeaned as Bill Burt did.This situation could have been handled in a much more professional manner that it did, without me having to call the California office. Bill Burt needs to be fired in my opinion. If he's the service director and can't handle simple issues without resorting to insulting customers what example is he setting for the employees he manages. His behaviour is total out of line and out of character of someone who holds a title of a service director. My husband and I both own mazda vehicles we are currently looking for a mazda 3 for my daughter, but I plan not to ever visit this dealership ever again, and Mr. Bill Britt needs to rethink the positions that some of his employess are currently in. Particularly the position Bill Burt holds who has displayed he is completely incompentent to manage, and is truly doing a very good job of not retenting customers but instead driving customers away. I would like to thank the California office for the way they handled this situation from the beginning to the end in a very professional manner. More

Internet sales. I purchased a used car as-is on ebay. I accept it's condition, however, the description conveniently left out major internal engine problems (estimated at $3200), oil leaks, false tire cond accept it's condition, however, the description conveniently left out major internal engine problems (estimated at $3200), oil leaks, false tire condition (claimed 50%- they measure 2/32 tread depth!), and more. Once the payment was complete, communication changed with the salesman over email. Questions were not answered, emails not returned for days. I attempted to buy more items from the dealership to be included in the car before shipment, and no response was made. My main problem is the honesty. This car history checked out fine. I was told it had been diagnosed with other noted problems in the "VW shop" in which they must not be very observant of months worth of caked on oil, internal engine noise, and compression blow-by. Conveniently not disclosed in the otherwise detailed ebay description. Very disappointed. More
