I vistied Bill Britt VW because I was interested in a new car. I purchased a 2013 VW Jetta TDI and traded in a 2007 VW Jetta. Rich Tippey worked with me during the whole process. Not once did I feel like I was going to be taken advantage of. The entire process went smoothly from selecting the vehicle, to taking a test drive, to financing, and trading in my old car. The trade in value I got for my old vehicle was reasonable and in the ballpark of what I was expecting. I looked at the vehicle, took a test drive, and figured out the finances on Thursday (pricing, trade in, and down payment). When I got to the dealership Friday morning, Rich had everything lined up for me, so all I had to do was sign the paperwork. The vehicle was clean and ready to go when I got there Friday morning. Rich took the time to go over everything on the new vehicle, show me the differences between the new car and my old car, and explain any questions I had. He explained the warranty and other perks to me in detail. Rich also checked with a few other banks and got me a lower interest rate than I had with my bank when I first came in. I highly recommend Bill Britt VW and Rich Tippey. The process could not have gone more smoothly. More
I have used Bill Britt for years to service my 3 different VW models I own, They are always very accommodating, nice, professional, and the service is top notch. I have never left the dealer thinking I have been ripped off, or did I really need that service. The car is returned washed and vacuumed out. I can set an appointment and communicate with my service advisor, Pam Sanders via email and she always responds. I have pushed several acquaintances to Bill Britt based on the service I have received over the years.- KMH More

Bill Britt Mazda/VW is a "no haggle" dealership. We purchased our first car from them 13 years ago, and in that time, my research has always indicated that their prices are fair and rea dealership. We purchased our first car from them 13 years ago, and in that time, my research has always indicated that their prices are fair and reasonable, even for high demand vehicles like the VW TDIs. Rich Tippey went out of his way to secure the car I purchased most recently ('13 VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI). Nearing the end of the model year, they were becoming hard to find. Rich knew where to look to see what was coming, arranged the dealer swap, got the car transported to their shop, and went over it with a fine-toothed comb to ensure there were no issues. When the sale was complete, he sat me in the car and helped to set up some of the features, like the blue-tooth connectivity to my phone. Pam Sanders also helped with this new car sale. She ensured that the factory fog light kit was installed in a timely fashion and to my complete satisfaction. She also provided a loaner car while this was being done (twice, as it turned out). They both kept in constant contact with me during the entire process and also endured my phone calls and emails (and I call and email *A LOT*). I always knew what was going on, and that's a good feeling. While Bill Britt Mazda/VW has many great people on their staff (Nancy, Kirk, John, Mike, Bob, ......), Rich and Pam are the ones who really keep us coming back. They are not only great at what they do, but are really terrific people. The world needs more Rich's and Pam's. More
I always bring my VW Phaeton back here to Bill Britt VW for servicing - even though I live in Laurel, MD and drive almost 100 miles to get there! I also pass by or close to at least 5 other VW dealers I c for servicing - even though I live in Laurel, MD and drive almost 100 miles to get there! I also pass by or close to at least 5 other VW dealers I could visit - but they don't know my Phaeton like Bill Britt VW and their outstanding service team! Ms Pam Sanders and her service techs always treat me like family (possibly better!), and they go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They know I typically wait for my car to be serviced, so they keep me posted on its progress. If they know the servicing will take a long time, they'll offer me a loaner car in case I want to go somewhere in the local area. (It wouldn't make sense for me to try and drive home if I'll get my car back the same day.) Everyone I encounter there at Bill Britt is always smiling and doing their best to please customers - even though who think they need to create a scene to get some sort of discount. The prices here are competitive, and they stand behind their work. Better yet, I always get a verbal or written report on the overall condition of my car, and reminders that I may be due brakes or tires within the next few months. (My car's service interval is 10,000 miles.) They listen to my descriptions of problems, and they do their best to troubleshoot those annoying intermittent problems so they can fix them the first time around. I've been dealing with Bill Britt VW since 2001 and with Ms Pam Sanders since she first started working there. She, and the other people there, are the main reason I keep coming back. I'll be back to buy a newer car probably this fall/winter and I won't even try to shop anywhere else. Other VW dealers in 2001 told me they couldn't beat Bill Britt's pricing, and that's still true today. Ms Pam Sanders ensures they can't beat the quality of the servicing, either! More

She never hesitates to call, and when we express sepcific concerns, she takes care of them qui concerns, and is proactive, informative and courteous. I have been a reoccurring customer of Bill Britt since 2004, in total have bought 4 cars from them and always had the best experience with their staff. There is one person in general that I want to call attention too and that is Pam Sanders, Pam works in the service dept and has been my goto gal anytime either of my two current VW's need service. The service dept is probably one of the most important depts of any car dealership. It is the one dept that you will continue to work with years after you make a new car purchase. Pam personifies what a service professional should be! Always professional, always helpful and always there to greet you with a smile and figure out the best way to get you the service you need and NEVER the service you don't! The one thing that stands out about Pam is her no nonsense approach to service, she gets to know her customers and offers assistance based on their personal needs. Take me for an example she knows I am good with cars and there are certain things that I can do myself on my car, she will never try and talk me out of doing them or recommend I have a "certified" mechanic work on something just so her shop makes a buck. She has gotten to know me over the years and is always helpful when I need it. This level of service is what brings me back to Bill Britt and not to just any garage when I need work done that I can not or do not want to do. Instead of just selling me service or maintenance I may not need she has earned my trust and and my respect. So the next time you're in Fredericksburg and you need work on your VW look for Pam you can't go wrong! More
