Service great as always. Took my husbands car to get an oil changed. Came back to pick up his vehicle and asked if they could squeeze my vehicle in that day to have the oil done and without hesitation Just oil changed. Chris A. helped us get into a new Telluride. He made the process super easy. Between work and childcare, we couldn’t make it to the dealership for a test drive but we didn’t want to miss out so Chris brough process super easy. Hello. I want to start off by saying this place provided the WORST service I have ever received at a Kia location. I just moved to Fredericksburg a few months ago and started to experience car trouble in Fe the WORST service I have ever received at a Kia location. I just moved to Fredericksburg a few months ago and started to experience car trouble in February. One morning my car would not start so I had to tow it to a Kia in hopes they could find the issue. My car is pretty new, 2019 Kia soul, and had this same issue in the past and was hoping by going to a new location they could get to the bottom of this. I called the location several times (to be more specific I called between 1p- 4p) and no one ever called back. Finally I just ended up towing the car there without speaking to anyone. I was expecting the shop to be busy but to my surprise there was only one employee there with no mechanics working. I was confused because if you are not busy why hasn’t anyone tried calling back after I left 2 voicemails. Anyway, so when I finally spoke to him and let him know I don’t have an appointment but tried to call to schedule one. He then told me (oh his name is Justin by the way and here is his email jfinney@saffordauto.com) he will have them take a look at it in the morning and give me a call. I assumed this meant I wouldn’t have to schedule an appointment since I spoke to someone directly....WRONG! The next day Fredericksburg started to experience some snow. It was 2p and I have not heard from anyone at the shopped. I called twice and by the third time I got a hold of someone at the front desk and asked if I could speak to someone on the service team. She informed me they would be closing early and not opening back up until the following Monday. Now I completely understand bad weather but the fact I had to call three times just to find out this information just tells you they do not care to keep every customer informed. After having yet another issue I took it upon myself to schedule a service appointment even though I already dropped it off on a Friday and was told they would look at it, then on Saturday they were shutting down until Monday. I scheduled it for the following Tuesday and to my surprise, I finally received a call from service on a TUESDAY. This is where is gets fishy. So when Justin called he originally stated I had a battery issue and when I informed him that battery is under warranty because it was replaced in August by Kia he then said ok he will call the warranty individuals to get it replaced as long as I provided a receipt. So I emailed him and then a hour a later I received another call from him. He then completely changed his answer and said the battery didn’t pass a specific “test” so Kia would not cover the replacement that he originally stated was the issue. Instead he stated “I might have left something on in the car” which is a wild assumption since I know I didn’t and also interesting how you completely changed the assessment. He then went on to say your battery is fine but we will need to charge it. This to me indicates my battery is not “fine” if you need to charge it. So he goes ahead and charges my battery even though I’m still unclear what the issue is and charges me $60. I then pick up my car and guess what, the next day my car stops working. So I called and called, left voicemails, and emailed Justin and received not one response from the service team. Oh and to top it all off not only were they not responding they kept sending me texts saying to be on the look out for a survey. So I just found it odd you guys won’t speak to me on the phone but still think it is smart to send me reminders to a survey. Not only did they charge me for a service but they didn’t even really find out what the true issue is. I ended up having to tow my car all the way to Chantilly (paying $200) for them to finally find the true issue ... my starter. I finally got a hold of the service manger, Steve Kane, 1 week later. He seemed like he was really concerned of the issue, took down my number and said he would get to the bottom of it. We are now going on week three and I have not heard back from him. More

KIA Fredericksburg provided excellent service to our 2020 Sorento. They were professional, courteous, expeditious, & gave us immediate care. They exercised social distancing & masking.
