I wouldn't recommend Brown's Fairfax Nissan even to my worst enemy. I sincerely regret purchasing a vehicle from them. If I could go back in time and change a decision from my past, this would be it to my worst enemy. I sincerely regret purchasing a vehicle from them. If I could go back in time and change a decision from my past, this would be it. As a buyer and fellow consumer, like all of you reading this, I can only do my best to look out for you so you don't make the mistakes I made by doing business with this dealership. Please go elsewhere. I wanted to give 0 stars but 0 isn't an option unfortunately. They're just about bait and switch. They change their story over and over. It's so hard to get what is supposed to be a straight answer from them. Firstly, they refuse to tell you the price of the vehicle unless you sign some document expressing interest. In my case, I refused to sign such nonsense. It shouldn't be hard to be direct, transparent and forthcoming with your customers. Why do I have to sign something and "ONLY" then will you tell me the price? That's terrible business. Additionally, the salesman is just a messenger relaying what you are saying to the sales manager and what the sales manager is relaying back to you. Again, this is terrible business. A credible business would talk to you directly. That is professionalism after all. In terms of negotiation, they refuse to even entertain ANY room for negotiation. I don't think I can ever forget Joe, the sales manager, refusing to budge beyond a lousy $50. What is $50? A tank of gas. When you finally make it to the Financing, do NOT go by anything that isn't in writing ie. their word doesn't mean anything and they definitely don't stand by it. I qualified for a College Rebate of $600 and this was confirmed by Bryce in Financing. I noticed it wasn't on the Sales Order he presented to me. I asked why and he assured me, without fail, it would be applied. He even said I shouldn't be concerned about them "duping" me. I was highly skeptical about his assurance. The rebate was never applied to the sale. I called Nissan Finance and two agents, on different days, confirmed the College Rebate was never applied. I was also offered the "Lo Jack" security feature. After the sale, I discovered that I was actually charged the price for the advanced package of the Lo Jack (i.e. Lo Jack with Early Warning Detection) yet was installed with just the basic package i.e. WITHOUT the early warning detection feature). Basically this dealership charges you premium pricing for what's actually a basic level product. How I found out is after the feature is installed, you have to call Lo Jack's 1-800 number to register and they verify exactly what you have. [If you get Lo Jack products, get them directly from Lo Jack.] Again, I raised my concerns with Brown's Fairfax Nissan looking for a resolution regarding this overcharge for a basic product and they were completely at a loss as to what I was talking about. So they chose not to honor my $600 College Rebate, which they offered and I qualified for, and now also didn't seem to know anything about the Lo Jack issue. I was responded to by a James Sutherland, another sales manager, whom I actually had never dealt with or even heard of. He simply said he didn't know what I was talking about and "couldn't get his head around how I came to that conclusion about the $600 College Rebate and the Lo Jack charges." All this despite a detailed account of how I got all of this information from Nissan Finance (rebate issue) and Lo Jack themselves (Lo Jack issue). 8 contacts were listed on his email. I replied and NO ONE REPLIED of the 8 even replied back. Not even the General Manager, Aaron Spicer. What's the point of saying there's a General Manager when you don't even step in to address concerns that are escalating? I waited for TWELVE business days and still didn't get a response from anyone so clearly this dealership's thinking is that if they ignore you, you will eventually just give up. At this point, I contacted Nissan Customer Care and they tried to intervene but the personnel at Brown's Fairfax Nissan just don't listen to anybody, not even to Nissan Customer Care. At the time of the sale, I had been told by the salesman: "don't fill out the survey if you have a problem." Big flag. Very shady. I received the customary survey a few weeks later seeking feedback on the buying experience. I went in and told it as it was about all of the experiences there. Get this, within 24-48 hours of completing the survey, James Sutherland replied scolding me for my responses and I distinctly remember him writing "How could you do this to us especially after we helped you out?" I was shocked he would even think they "helped me out" given the entire experience. What type of place also starts a witch-hunt because the customer responded as they saw appropriate in surveys? If you don't want bad reviews and surveys then do a good job. Start off by being honest, fair and transparent. Honor the promotions you offer, don't cheat people and overcharge them for additional products. More
I bought a new Nissan Rogue last week, and it was a pleasant experience overall. I've heard of many horror stories about car salesmen and dealerships, so I was quite nervous, especially since this is m pleasant experience overall. I've heard of many horror stories about car salesmen and dealerships, so I was quite nervous, especially since this is my first new car. My family and I were greeted at the door by Naz. He was very friendly and showed us the car we were interested in. When we came inside to proceed with the paperwork, Naz brought out the price and he explained to me in details what each of the fees is. We were a bit dismay when we found out the price they advertise wasn't exactly what customers are going to get. They factor in all incentives and rebates to make the price appealing (I'm assuming all dealerships do this). At that point we were about to leave because the price went up too high. Naz went in and called his manager, James Suthard. He came out, sat down and asked us what he could do to make us reconsider. The discussion went well, both Naz and James were very patient and non-pushy. They stopped and waited for me and my family to talk it over. We finally reached a good medium and in my opinion it was a pretty good deal. After that the rest was quick and painless. Although we had to wait a couple days to get the car with the color we wanted, everything else went without any problem. Overall it was a very pleasant experience for us. I'd recommend Brown's Fairfax Nissan to anyone. The staff is friendly and they don't try to push you like others do. More
Terrible Dealership!!! They LIE all the way. DO NOT GO... avoid at all costs! If you must go, get a mechanic with you to catch their lies! and AVOID RAHMAN and JAY. Read Below for my terrible experience wit avoid at all costs! If you must go, get a mechanic with you to catch their lies! and AVOID RAHMAN and JAY. Read Below for my terrible experience with them: I live in Charlotte, NC which is 6 hours away. I saw a vehicle that I really liked and called in to ask about it. I asked if there were any mechanical problems/maintenance required and/or squeals or creaks or any unnatural noises. I got the answer "Everything works great, no noises, no problems at all." So I asked again for them to be honest with me since i'd be driving 6 hours to come see the car. Again, they said that the car has absolutely no problems and that so many people want it... followed by "I'll cut you a deal since the car hasn't been sold in 60 days."(Deal was $1000 over KBB value). That was my first indication that they lie, with back to back contradictory sentences. When I arrived and turned the key, the first thing I hear is a loud long squeal. I ask the sales rep what the noise was, and get the response "Oh that's normal"(LIE). Then I press in the clutch(Stick Shift) and it's already down to the floor and stuck. When I kicked it, it loosened up a bit and only pressed in 1 inch(Terrible Clutch). I asked the sales rep is there anything wrong with the clutch, and get the response "Oh, no I don't know much about manuals, but it's fine. Are you sure you know how to drive?"(LIE, AND INSULT) I have been driving all kinds of stick shifts for 10 years. Those are $2,000 fixes to make that they are lying about, and not to mention the license plate light dangling by a wire and many other smaller but strange defects. If this wasn't enough, they said they'll have the car checked out. They came back in 1 hour and said that their mechanics said that everything was fine with the car. I asked to talk to the service technicians in which they dodged my request. They didn't even offer to lower the price(I STILL WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT FROM UNCONTROLLABLE LIARS). Back to Charlotte. I went empty handed and 14 hours less time of my life. More

I owned the car for about 9 months and out of those 9 months this dealer ship had it for approx 6 months cumalitive before I had to threaten the dealership with a lawsuit because they sold me a lemon. The car ended up getting 2 different engines put in it and after the later engine was put in the transmission went. WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN and unfortunately left a nasty taste in my mouth in regard to ANYTHING that deals with a Nissan More

I recently moved to the area and needed to make a quick purchase of a car. I contacted a few dealers by email but either the Internet special price was higher than I expected or the model was unavailable purchase of a car. I contacted a few dealers by email but either the Internet special price was higher than I expected or the model was unavailable online. I stopped by some dealerships but my wife and I didn’t feel comfortable with the sales pitches and we seemed to be making no progress. Then, from a google search I saw Brown-Fairfax Nissan’s online Internet prices listed right on their website, which was a welcome change from the usual need to send an email requesting the pricing. I saw a fabulous deal on an Altima and I called to check if it was available. Salesman Rana Bilal answered my call to the dealership. He checked and said it was available at the Internet price listed. I told him I’d stop by within an hour. When I arrived he actually greeted me outside the door and said he had already pulled the car up front for my wife and I to review. Mr. Bilal was friendly, helpful, and didn’t make any hard pitches (which was unnecessary due to the great price). After a test drive we said we’d take it but then a hitch arose. While the car was being sold at the Internet price, suddenly dealer prep fees and dealer processing fees (separate from the freight fee) were adding almost $1,800 to the sales price. When I asked Mr. Bilal and the sales manager what they were for, the answers were really laughable (installing hubcaps and the like, it was obvious padding). After the unwelcome ping-pong of offer-counteroffer the pricing essentially returned to the great out-the-door number I originally calculated based on the Internet price plus tax, registration, and freight. Perhaps that’s always a part of car sales but once the sales price was settled everything went great. Mr. Mr. Bilal was a professional, going through all the pre-purchase explanations, setting up future servicing, and meeting my requests for the prep work on the car for me us to take it home. I found him trustworthy and someone I would gladly purchase from again in the future, and that goes as well for Brown-Fairfax Nissan. More
Staff was friendly but this is a very small dealership and I would not recommend this place for a new car purchase. They have very few cars on the lot and you might end up wasting your time for a new purc and I would not recommend this place for a new car purchase. They have very few cars on the lot and you might end up wasting your time for a new purchase. Again, make sure you go through all the numbers these guys present to you as there would always be hidden charges. Check on the freight charges as they always add it at the end on top of everything. No point is bringing a trade-in as they will give you a very low ball offer for your perfectly running car. More
This was the easiest and most pleasant car-buying experience I've ever had. We test drove the vehicle here and found the salespeople helpful, knowledgeable, and non-pushy. Jay, who handed the email b experience I've ever had. We test drove the vehicle here and found the salespeople helpful, knowledgeable, and non-pushy. Jay, who handed the email back-and-forth when I got internet quotes on a new Nissan was straightforward, professional, non-pushy and didn't bombard me with lots of unwanted phone calls. After getting internet quotes from several Nissan dealers, Jay and Mr K worked harder than the other dealerships to beat the lowest quote that I had received. When we went into the dealership to sign the papers they kept their word on the out-the-door price that we had agreed to, didn't sneak in any unexpected fees, and the paperwork was completed easily. Jay paid special attention to the detailing the car received to ensure it was done properly and as quickly as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to any knowledgeable car-buyer looking for a very fair price and a low-pressure environment. More
The guys at Brown's were wonderful. We went to the dealership assuming we'd be encountering more of the same - pushy, aggressive sales guys who are more interested in getting their sales point across dealership assuming we'd be encountering more of the same - pushy, aggressive sales guys who are more interested in getting their sales point across than actually listening to us and our needs. Jay was a very pleasant surprise. He's good-natured, straight-forward, and we felt instantly at ease around him and his calming style. Throughout the entire process, he and his team worked with us on every aspect of the sale and we came away from the experience feeling good about giving someone our money - AND getting a great new car :) More
