I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Safford Brown Honda Arlington, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership. When I first reached out, I spoke with Nancy, who was helpful Brown Honda Arlington, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership. When I first reached out, I spoke with Nancy, who was helpful and understood my needs—a 72-month loan with a payment around $600/month. She then transferred me to Ahmad, the sales manager, and that's where everything started to fall apart. I made it clear that I wanted to know the out-the-door price so I could structure my financing properly. Instead of providing a straightforward answer, Ahmad used every tactic possible to get me into the dealership, despite me already having pre-approval from my bank. Once I arrived, it became obvious that my needs were secondary to simply making a sale. As it was Ramadan, I wanted to step away to eat and also consult with my brother for a second opinion. Ahmad continued to push a deal that didn’t meet my criteria and later insisted on speaking with my brother, which led to an unnecessary argument. Even after all of this, I was still open to making a deal. I requested a properly updated sheet with the loan terms so I could calculate how much down payment I needed. Instead of assisting me, Ahmad saw this as a “power move” and argued with me instead of helping me make an informed decision. Throughout the process, he kept saying, "I'm a man of my word, and the deal is what we agreed on yesterday." Well, I also mentioned that I would be writing a review—so here we are. Rather than going to my follow-up appointment with Honda, I walked across the street to Koons Arlington Toyota. Sergii, the salesperson there, actually listened to what I needed. I ended up custom-ordering a Toyota RAV4 Limited, putting $10,000 down, and structuring the loan exactly how I wanted. Funny enough, even though the RAV4 was $5,000 more expensive out the door than the CR-V, the deal still made more sense because Sergii actually worked with me instead of against me. Safford Brown Honda Arlington lost a sale because they prioritized aggressive sales tactics over genuine customer service. If you’re looking for a dealership that listens and works with you, look elsewhere. More
If I could leave a negative one star review of this dealership I would. We purchased a preowned 2012 Honda Odyssey xle on March 15th with 104,000 miles… as well as trading in one of our vehicles… test dealership I would. We purchased a preowned 2012 Honda Odyssey xle on March 15th with 104,000 miles… as well as trading in one of our vehicles… test drove the vehicle and even went over some things with their mechanic as far as what had been replaced and what had not and they assured me all problematic parts had been replaced and we discussed the vtech solenoid being aftermarket and that is was thoroughly inspected for issues… we purchased the vehicle based on this and drove it home that night around 9 pm. After driving the vehicle two hours home, the next day, the check engine light came on, and I immediately informed the dealership. The manager asked us to bring it down the next week and started negotiating what repairs they would do and wouldn’t do regarding cost. I reminded them the van had just been sold the day before and the code it was throwing (p3497.. which is a cylinder deactivation code) was a major motor defect and that I was going to take it to the local Honda shop to have it diagnosed. He informed me they would either pay the diagnostic or replace the oil pressure switch and that the mechanic knew it was an aftermarket part and that was the problem. I informed them there was more repair needed then the switch, Iqbal said they would not replace the spool valve and asked me to let his mechanic diagnose it. Upon taking it to our local Honda dealershop, they discovered that the spool valve was bad and was replaced with a cheaper aftermarket part and needed an OEM replacement. Iqbal, The used car manager told me he would not cover the diagnostic only the repair and that they only wanted to do the oil pressure sensor switch, but regardless, we set up a time and day to bring the van down for repairs on good faith. The day before I started messaging him to tell him what they discovered and to confirm our appointment, he then started telling me I needed to speak to the GM about the repairs, this was now March 18/19.. I had also been messaging him about some financial paperwork that was not returned to us by the financial manager, Ahmed, had who helped us trade in the vehicle and purchase the odyssey, even after we told him we desperately need our papers back and he ensured he would make a copy for them and return the original in our folder. I had explained to them that it was paperwork we needed in order to obtain the title and prove that the vehicle was paid off and out of our names numerous times through text and voicemail. Since March 15th I have placed more than four different calls and voicemails to the GM, as well as numerous calls to the finance manager and Iqbal the sales manager.. none of which will return my calls or answer me about repairs. I was even willing to work with the dealership on the cost of the repairs in order to alleviate some of the strain on them, but I can’t even get the decency of a call back. After reading the reviews that I have, I wish I would have done my due diligence about this dealership and their lack of customer service and or rapport of standing behind their sales. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from purchasing anything from this dealer as they will collect your money and refuse to help with any problems you may have from the sale they facilitated. it is now day 9 and we are no closer to repairing or driving the van we purchased due to lack of response from the dealership. Unfortunately, my experience purchasing three cars from this dealership was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The people I dealt with were dishonest, making verbal promises that did not match what was writte this dealership was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The people I dealt with were dishonest, making verbal promises that did not match what was written in the contracts. Their words were misleading, and the reality of the agreements was completely different. I strongly advise anyone dealing with this dealership to be extremely cautious and read every clause in the contract carefully before signing. Do not rely on verbal assurances, as they are not reflected in the written agreements. This place is full of deceivers—stay away! avoid at this location LIARS SPECIALLY THE FINANCE GUY More

I had a good experience purchasing my new car but when I brought it back for the free oil change and tire rotation, they didn't do the rotate at all and when I called to let them know that they didn't do th brought it back for the free oil change and tire rotation, they didn't do the rotate at all and when I called to let them know that they didn't do the rotate I was rudely spoken to by their service advisor. All the had to say was "I am so sorry to hear that, we will make it right" but instead I was questioned as to how I knew that they hadn't done the rotate (wear on the outer edge of the tire and tires in same location) and when I went to explain that he interrupted me to transfer me to a manager's voice mail (which I never was called back from). I am going to have someone look and make sure that the oil filter was actually changed now too. This car is less than a year old, and now I don't trust them for service work and I won't go back for my next car because of it, More
I recently purchased a used 2020 HONDA Civic at Safford Brown Arlington. It was the first highly computerized auto I had ever purchased. At first everything was good until I received the error message tha Brown Arlington. It was the first highly computerized auto I had ever purchased. At first everything was good until I received the error message that the radar sensor was blocked I did not know that all other sensing systems on the car would not work as a result. I had assumed that the used car salesman had checked this car out, but apparently they had not done a complete inspection. They should have hooked this car up for a computerized analysis prior to selling it to me so they could have found the problem. So when I took the car to the service dept to get this corrected, they could not find out how to fix it. I was glum about this when the General Manager Steven Birdsong happened to walk by and asked me what was wrong. I explained the problem, and he immediately went to the service dept and took up the issue for me. The car was fixed the next day, and Mr. Birdsong even refunded the $900 I had paid for the first unsuccessful repair. Now the car is perfect and a pleasure to drive. Mr. Birdsong is a terrific GM, and took a personal interest in my situation. I had never experienced that and am very grateful to him. With managers like him, I would never think of buying a car anywhere else. Safford Brown Arlington has the best people, and they stand behind what they sell! This was a great experience in buying a used car. Great car, great people! More
