AVOID AT ALL COSTS Grand Forks AFB Personnel, avoid this dealership at all costs. Please make the drive down to Fargo and visit Corwin Toyota. I am an Airman stationed a Grand Forks AFB Personnel, avoid this dealership at all costs. Please make the drive down to Fargo and visit Corwin Toyota. I am an Airman stationed at the base currently. I went to Lithia looking for a used Tacoma due to an extreme circumstance which left me without transportation. I was sold a 2013 Tacoma for over $2000 over book value which had been certified used without proper repair of rust and some body damage. The dealership would not move on price and refused to fix the problems with the truck. Being new to the area and needing a vehicle ASAP, I bought the truck. After purchase it took 3 weeks to get my second set of remotes, and never received a second key. I did not receive any carfax for the truck and zero service records. I called a few days after purchase to speak with the general manager and was told “Tough xxxx”, “good luck taking this to court”. There are no lemon laws in North Dakota. BEWARE, AVOID THIS DEALER. I am normally not the kind of person to write a review, but after the pathetic service I was given at Lithia I felt the need to report it.The sales person and manager listed above were very pushy, using gu but after the pathetic service I was given at Lithia I felt the need to report it.The sales person and manager listed above were very pushy, using guilt tactics to get me to buy a car I didn't like. We had made an appointment to test drive a car and when we showed up Thomas was not there. After he arrived late, he kept leaving my husband and I, making us wait for long lengths of time. At one point we almost walked out. I had mentioned to him that I didn't want a new car as I felt the depreciation of value after leaving the car lot did not make sound economical sense. Yet after explaining that I wasn't in love with the car present, he continued to show me a new car that was out of my designated budget, clearly not taking into consideration my lists of wants and needs. After three hours of waiting, both the manager and sales person were trying every sales tactic known to man to get me to buy a car I clearly did not want. They used skewed NADA and KBB values to justify there incredibly inflated sticker price, then insulted us when they scoffed at the mention of negotiation of sticker price and trade in value. We left the dealership feeling angered and rather discouraged by the whole experience. After our failed attempt we went to Fargo to look at another car and ended up buying it, much to our inconvenience. Had the sales representative taken the time to really hear what I wanted, and teamed up with me to find a car I would truly love, I would have waited and possibly bought a car through their establishment. Instead I am going to post to all of my friends that the Lithia staff are not only unfriendly but pushy, rude, and incompetent in every sense of the word! This was my first car buying experience and it should have and very easily could have been enjoyable. An establishment of trust could have been made and they could have gained a loyal customer, instead I will never do business with their establishment again. I want to thank Corwin Motors for showing me what exceptional customer service looks like. Might I add that the Lithia dealership should take note that 35 cars (not including my purchase) were sold at Corwin today alone! It comes down to good customer service and rapport, neither of which Lithia seems to posses. More

We got the vehicle we wanted at a had great customer service. They were friendly and helpful. I will be back. Eric went out of his way to make sure. We got the vehicle we wanted at a fair price. If you are lucky enough to live in Grand Forks area, we would highly recommend checking out Toyota there. Ask for sales person Eric Hoffmann and I promise you won't be disappointed. Great experience. My friend and I saw a red Nissan Titan on their website advertised for $21,999. The price was very reasonable for the truck. It all started when we walked in the dealership, NO one greeted us at the door, advertised for $21,999. The price was very reasonable for the truck. It all started when we walked in the dealership, NO one greeted us at the door, we had to walk around to find a sales person. Finally when we found the only guy working in the showroom, he did not seem to be interested at all to sell us a car. My buddy and I took the truck for a ride and we loved it. Then it was time to sit down and make a deal. We told him we would buy the truck off them that very day as it is if we can get $500 off.(he mentioned the truck was on the lot for awhile) he hesitated and told us that he'd go ask his manager.(typical dealer waiting game). So we waited and waited then he came back with his manager with a sales invoice on the truck. His manager told us that the real price for the truck was $22,999, that the Internet people at the dealership made a mistake, and they won't sell it to us for $21,999. (Okay okay I get it, he tried to lie to us about the price so we'd be happy w/ the 21,999 advertised price.) I knew i was done with them for playing that bs game with me, I was so angry I called them out on false advertisement. That manager argued with a very bad atitude saying iit wasn't false advertisement and he'd make the Internet people change the price to 22,999. I got up and said this is f**** bs you guys try to play these stupid games with us when all we wanted was to purchase a truck for a fair price. That manager then screamed at me demanding me to buy it for 21,999 and leave. I told them "there is no way I'm buying anything from you guys after you pulled that s*** with me" I got up and left. This is the honest truce, we would have bought that truck for the advertised price if he had just told us we can't get $500 off instead of upping the prices. I shared my experience with my co workers and some told me they had similar experience dealing with them. For the people live in grand forks, I know they r the only Toyota, Chrysler and jeep dealer in town, you,d be better off driving a little distance to a different dealership. I feel sick to my stomach every time I drive by that dealership... Stay away More
Customer service at this dealership is awful. The representatives that we have dealt with do not return phone calls. When we purchased our certified used vehicle we even felt that we were "bothering" representatives that we have dealt with do not return phone calls. When we purchased our certified used vehicle we even felt that we were "bothering" the salesperson by just being there. We would not have purchased there but we were specifically looking for a Toyota and we decided that buying "certified used" from a dealership seemed like a smart decision. We should have purchased a Toyota through another dealership because so far they have not honored anything that has gone wrong with the vehicle under the certified used warranty. Also, when we were looking at the vehicle, it was terribly dirty. Apparently, it had just arrived at the dealership, so we agreed at the time of purchase that the dealership would detail the car and we would pick it up the following day. When we arrived the following day, they had not detailed our car so the salesperson did it himself. It was still dirty. There was still garbage under the seat and a cd belonging to the previous owner was in the cd player. The car was full of dog hair and my husband spent a lot of time and money cleaning it up himself. Would not recommend this dealership to anybody! Drive to Fargo if you want a Toyota! More
Let me preface with the fact that I bought my last 2 vehicles from this dealership Brought in a vehicle (2001 Mercedes M class)for trade, I was not happy with the fact that they were completly low balli vehicles from this dealership Brought in a vehicle (2001 Mercedes M class)for trade, I was not happy with the fact that they were completly low balling me on the trade in value, but thats not the problem. They took the car (locked when they took it) to run a computer diagnostic scan on it because the "service engine soon" light was on. When they brought the vehicle back, one of the doors will not lock. So the next day I called and spoke to the general manager of the store. he advised me to bring it in and they would take a look at it. I thought they would take care of it. After driving the car 30 minutes into town to have them look at it, I was informed that there was no possible way that they could have done anything wrong and they would not even look at it. After arguing with the general manager for 5 minutese he finally agreed to set up an appointment to have the car looked at as the service tech who initially looked at wasnt working when he told me to bring it in. So at 4:00 pm on Tuesday after I had gotten off work early to be there for them to look at the car, they once again informed me they had done nothing wrong and it could not have possibly been their fault, and they will not look at the car. So at this point I have driven into the dealership twice at 30 min one way for a total of 2 hours of driving, just to have them tell me it is not their fault. So finally I took the car to the mercedes dealer and paid them to hook up my car and find out what was wrong. Turns out it was a code that was tripped by hooking it up to a non mercedes computer and all that Lithia would have needed to do was reset the code and I would have been on my way, as a very happy customer who would have continued to purchase vehicles from them. Now I will not only NEVER buy from them again but I will tell everyone I know to avoid them for sales and service and to advise all of their friends and family as well. More
