I made an appointment for a radio replacement a month in advance. When I arrived at Rydell service dept, they told me they would take my car but it would be days before they filed the claim, therefore leav advance. When I arrived at Rydell service dept, they told me they would take my car but it would be days before they filed the claim, therefore leaving me stranded at the car rental place without rental coverage (which my extended warranty DOES cover once a claim is filed) that I had to pay for myself. I was stuck with that bill since they did not file the claim the day I left my vehicle there. I think that is really bad practice, especially for people who make appointments well in advance. Their excuse was the repair department was very busy and running late. My appointment was at 7 a.m. and I was on time. I feel if you have an appointment, a claim needs to be placed in the system right away so a customer is not left without rental coverage. I don't know if this is Rydell's standard practice or their service consultant's. More
