Worth the drive I looked for a used Traverse all over the metro that would nclude the options I was looking for and still be a clean vehicle to fit my price range. I I looked for a used Traverse all over the metro that would nclude the options I was looking for and still be a clean vehicle to fit my price range. I really struggled until I found one online at Ryan, I was really skeptical from all the others I looked at - and a little more than an hour drive for me. I called to see if the vehicle was still on the lot, Scott Goodmanson was undoubtable helpful in tracking down the vehicle for me. He made it really simple and flexible to be able to come in and look at the vehicle. Scott called me the day before I came in and let me know he wasn't going to be in, but Steve Edmonson was more than willing to meet with me. I got to the dealership and met with Steve, he was absolutly stellar at getting information on the vehicle for me, he was extremly friendly - and made the process of buying a car comfortable. I was able to get what I wanted for a trade in value on my vehicle. The finance depatment was able to beat the interest rate that my previous lender had given me, and then made the paperwork painless! The service department was able to get my new SUV ready to go how I wanted it in a timly matter. Steve called me as sson as the car was ready to be picked up, and once arriving to pick up helped to set up my bluetooth and onStar. Great staff and friendly service - I would recommend all my family and friends to this dealership. More

Please read before buying at Ryan Ryan did not do the right thing in the experience I had with them, so now I need to do the right thing and help other people avoid an experience like Ryan did not do the right thing in the experience I had with them, so now I need to do the right thing and help other people avoid an experience like mine or get Ryan to change their practices. Putting out this review is one part of that. Most of the reviews you see are positive, but so was ours until their negligence caught up with us (not them, us). Scroll through the reviews and you’ll see that everything is great except when they’re asked to do something after you write the check. Please read on to hear a great story I hope you never experience yourself by finding dealer who will be there when it hits the fan. We bought two vehicles from Ryan in April, a truck and SUV. The experience was great especially since we had little ones with us. A week after driving off the lot, the brakes went out on the SUV. The repairman said there was no way the dealer wouldn’t have caught their wear in an inspection. Since we didn’t have coverage, we just paid for it. Ryan transferred the title for the truck into our name, but the registration never came for renewal. My wife told me the other day the tabs were going to expire, so it looked like I had to go the DMV. The next morning while heading to work with my 6 year old, a deputy parked behind me at a stoplight flipped on his lights and pulled me over. After sitting a long time in the truck, he came out and asked me to exit the vehicle because there was a problem with my tabs. I knew they weren’t expired and the deputy started asking questions about where I got the vehicle. He explained that my truck not only wasn’t registered (and had not been since last year), it also had tabs on it belonging to another vehicle in another state. This was apparently a misdemeanor and would result in losing the truck, my license, and getting booked. Fortunately Deputy David Patterson of Stearns County heard me out and believed that I got it from the dealer like this. He showed me my tab was different than a regular tab and that it was a problem because I could be scamming the state by buying cheaper tabs. All of this set off a chain of things that has led to me losing a great deal of money for various reasons related to work and other plans, experiencing a huge hassle, and being treated like dirt by Ryan. I had to miss more work the next day to get new tabs. The ladies at the Annandale DMV couldn’t understand what was going on with the tabs, but they figured it out and got me new one’s so I was legal. Unfortunately I had to pay two years of registration for $600. I immediately headed to Buffalo and was directed to Pat Ryan. I explained to Pat my situation, what it led to personally, and that I needed them to ameliorate the problem. After more than an hour of figuring out the facts (I had some wrong, they had some wrong), it turned out that they had sold me the vehicle unregistered and with unlawful tabs. They assumed it was registered and up to date because it had ’14 stickers. Pat continued to find ways that my story wasn’t true instead of fixing the problem. He did not believe that a deputy could notice the tabs were incorrect. Never mind that they were wrong and the truck was unregistered, my getting caught was the issue. When we finally looked at the incorrect tabs next to the spendy new tabs I had purchased, they were clearly different and would have been easily noticed by the deputy, which is exactly what the deputy told me. He decided to blame it on the old owner and explained it wasn’t their responsibility. I told them they were the previous owner to me and it was their responsibility. They run the vehicles through so fast and make mistakes like not even checking the registration (didn’t they wonder when the previous owner traded it in why there was no registration) or not seeing the wrecked brakes on our SUV. Pat did concede that there was no way I could have known it wasn’t registered and nothing I could have done differently, but it still definitely wasn’t their fault. Since the beginning I had been telling him I did not believe there as any malicious intent, but this pile of consequences landed on me and it needed to be resolved. He offered to pay the year of registration, which should have happened in the first place. We bought the vehicles over a 3rd of the way through the year. I said it wasn’t good enough and he said too bad. That’s when things got more interesting. He said I could pursue it further, but his bosses wouldn’t be as nice as him (he was right) and I wouldn’t get anywhere. When I indicated I did want to talk to them, he said they could call me because they were likely busy. I told him I would wait while he checked and he said they were probably at the other dealership. I persisted and luckily they were there right outside the door! I forget his name because I was quite upset at this point. He informed me that they are not responsible for the vehicle because they are ‘brokers’ not owners. His employee Pat was apparently generous by offering to pay the registration. When I told the less nice guy that wasn’t good enough and all the consequences it led to, he said, OK, then we won’t pay the registration. When I said I would have to pursue it more to get resolution, he wanted to know how, because he understood everything I could do (apparently I wasn’t the first) and I wouldn’t get anywhere. He was getting smug, and that really ticked me off. I asked why he wanted to know if he already understood it all, and started to get up to leave. Even though I had done nothing wrong and they should have prevented or taken care of the problem, he gave me smug and prickish ‘good luck’. Because I was upset, I called them xxxxxxx. They called me names right back because they could, and then told me to get out of their store. I tried to personally thank the salesperson, Kevin, who sold us the cars, but Pat chased me out. If you want to hear and see how Pat Ryan dealt with the situation, I have it all recorded from my phone. Hopefully I’ll find a review site that allow attachments. It was legal since half the people in the conversation (me) knew it was being recorded. Unfortunately they outnumbered me when Mr. not as nice came in the room, so I couldn’t record that. Looking into it briefly, I’m finding information that what they sold me was unlawful. Unfortunately I’ll have to spend more time looking into this and ask for legal advice. In the meantime, do your homework and go to somewhere that will fix your problems after you give them the check. More

We were met at the door by Amanda Greenwaldt, and she was the last person to see us off in our new Durango! We can't say enough about how well we were treated while looking, first for a used car, to our final selection of a new Durango!. With the personal assistance from Amanda throughout the process, and then Dane Dombush, in finance, we were able to move to a new vehicle. The closing paperwork with Shaun was easy and quick. They were all very helpful, cooperative, and prepared to make the transaction smooth and comfortable once we made our selection. While waiting to pick up our Durango on Saturday morning, Rob Ryan personally came by to ask how everything went for us during our visit! We had a great visit. This was greatly appreciated. Ryan Auto Mall is a class act. Thank you to all --- Amanda, Dane, Shaun and Rob. We're Digging our Durango! Todd & Debi Pack St.Cloud, Mn. Great service. Great assistance, Patient sales people.
