My immediate family owns all Hondas. My parents have purchased 3 Hondas from Goodson Honda in Houston. My brother also purchased one from Goodson Honda. (My brother also purchased in Dallas--we're ser purchased 3 Hondas from Goodson Honda in Houston. My brother also purchased one from Goodson Honda. (My brother also purchased in Dallas--we're seriously a Honda family!). All of my experiences have been with Goodson Honda. In the past, I tagged along when my brother helped my parents get the price they wanted on a vehicle. We went to a few different dealerships, and Goodson seemed to have the best price. I had a good taste in my mouth about Goodson Honda West from all of our experiences. I went into Goodson Honda West on Saturday. I intended to look at Civics, but quickly discovered they were smaller than I thought they would be. I then moved on to Accords, and just for fun, thought I would look at the CR-Vs. I noticed that the sticker price on the 2009 CR-Vs was around the same, if not less, than the 2009 Accords. I couldn't believe that, so I decided to start negotiations. Goodson Honda West would not budge on the pricing of the vehicle. The salesman also lied to me about what was included in the car, and then tried to charge me extra for it We decided to walk away, when quickly, a manager walked over to us and told us to sit down and tried to talk to us. He still was not budging on the price. He asked if we could meet halfway between the two prices, and then we gave him a price that fell $500 below the EXACT middle of the prices, and he said he couldn't meet it. Feeling discouraged, and really wanting this vehicle, I returned later. I found out that they had already sold the ONE vehicle that was the color I wanted. I talked to ANOTHER manager who would not budge on the price except a measly $300. I walked away again. I told them that I was disappointed that my family would have been purchasing our FIFTH car from them and they couldn't meet me in the middle and would give me the same exact deal they would give anyone who has no loyalty to them. On Monday, I receive a voicemail from the salesman at Goodson Honda West, asking if I am still in the market to buy a CR-V. I called back, and told him certainly not at the price they were offering. He told me that we could meet in the middle (the price I was offering was $1500 below what they wanted). I am pretty sure that the only reason he called me back was because today was the last day of the month, and they were short of their quota. I told him to give me a price and call me back. The price he came up with was $1400 more than the offer I was making. This is certainly not in the middle of $1500. I told him that the amount was still too high. He came down to a point $1100 higher than I wanted to pay. A coworker suggested I call around for the color I wanted. I figured no one could beat the price, as I had gone to John Eagle Honda, and they basically told me that Goodson was offering me a fantastic price, and I should leave John Eagle and go back and get it at Goodson. I called Goodson Honda North. They did not have the color I was looking for. I didn't even know there was a Russell & Smith Honda, but I saw it when I was googling Goodson Honda North. It said they would meet or beat any competitor's price. I called and found out that they had ONE CR-V in the color and model I wanted, with only 11 miles on it. They agreed to sell it to me for $300 less, drive out, than Goodson Honda West. Moise was extremely helpful on the phone with me. I went into the dealership, and Moise was a little busy, but greeted me, let me look at my car, and got me all taken care of. This was by far the easiest car shopping experience I could have asked for, and I didn't feel like I was being talked down to like I did at Goodson Honda West. I would definitely recommend Russell & Smith Honda to anyone. Ask for Moise! After that, I dealt with Shah in financing and he was fantastic and the whole process went far quicker than I thought. I am so pleased with my purchase! More
Gilton was very enthusiastic, pleasant, courteous, knowledgable and understanding to our needs. There is no need to go to any other Honda dealer. If you want hidden fees such as a road and bridge tax go to another dealer. He gave me a great detailed internet quote from the beginning with no hidden fees and no pressure. Five other dealerships in the Houston area could not beat it. One salesman from another dealership actually told me “If you can get that price, go there and buy the car.” He was very accommodating and helped make the overall process go smoothly. I am very pleased with my 2009 Civic LX (Cash for Clunkers deal). I would highly recommend Tom Melanson and Russell/Smith to anyone buying a Honda in Houston. More

My mother bought a Pilot from him a few months before and told me to call Ron. I told Ron over the phone exactly what I wanted. He shopped around for me, he watched inventory for me and a couple of days later he got the exact car Accord coupe that I want (color and trim level) in stock. He was great. The color I wanted was in high demand but he finagled a hold for several days for a deposit over the phone. I knew the car from the research and you really can not go wrong with Honda. A simple over the phone transaction and a Saturday drive down to Houston and he made the experience great. He made sure everything was ready for me. A couple of hours over the phone saved me a day in the dealership (we have ALL been there). The paperwork for my trade in was complete and the finance paperwork was ready for me to sign. Would I deal with Ron again? Yes! Would I recommend him to my family and friends? Obviously! He will be the first I turn to when I need another car. More
