Do not take your car here for service. I took my Lincoln in for service. When they were under the car they discovered I needed a new right front drive axle and it was on backorder with no specific time as in for service. When they were under the car they discovered I needed a new right front drive axle and it was on backorder with no specific time as to when it would become available. I understand this has been a problem this year. I followed up a week later and got the same answer. I got the part number and was able to locate the part at a dealership in New Jersey (I don't know why Don Meyer couldn't do this?). I received the part in a couple of days and took it to Don Meyer on 8/12. I finally got my car back on 8/17. On 8/19 the transmission went out. I ended up having to get it towed to a local transmission shop where I live. The transmission shop said there was no transmission fluid in the car and the transmission fried. I called Don Meyer and they said they didn't have anything to do with it. I asked them to explain how I could drive a car with no problems and two days after I picked it up from them there was no transmission fluid in my car (no leaks were detected)? Did the transmission fluid magically evaporate out of my car? Their response was they didn't know but they were not responsible for it. I disagree since I drove the car with no issues and two days after I get it back from them there is no transmission fluid in my car. It gets better. The transmission shop called me and told me the right front drive axle that was just put in by Don Meyer is no good. The seal had seized to the axle and they couldn't get it off. I called Don Meyer again and they said I needed to send the part back to the dealership in New Jersey since this is where I purchased it. That is completely false. I spoke with Ford Corp and they said I could return it to any Ford dealership since it has a 2 year warranty through Ford and the warranty is good nationwide. I contacted a Ford dealership where I live and I am in the process of returning the part through them as well as getting a new part. STAY AWAY. YOUR PROBLEMS WILL JUST MULTIPLY. More
