I was told it was the exhaust pipe that separated from the catalytic converter because the bolts were rusted. Sent me a “quote” of $1888.28. They supposedly fixed it and I go to pick it up after work, and within two seconds of starting up my vehicle there was another very loud noise that wasn’t there when I dropped my vehicle off originally. Mind you this quote covered the $200 diagnostic fee. The fee to make sure the service tech looks at everything that could potentially be wrong. I call the next day, get put on hold forever just to be told Dennis would call me back. Dennis took hours to call back each time I had called. Either Dennis is overworked or doesn’t care because each time I talked to the guy it was like talking to him for the first time. I literally had to tell him I didn’t have my warranty five separate times. I explained to him that the noise was not there when I dropped off the vehicle and he swore he drove my car himself and didn’t hear anything. I said I heard it right away. He gave some pushback because I told him I was not going to pay another diagnostic fee. Had to go drop off my car again. Dennis calls me to tell me I needed a new drive train because my bearings are bad, no further explanation other than it’s going to cost me another $2000. Sends me another quote but this time it’s just an excel spreadsheet with no numbers on it. Huge red flag. I was getting feedback from others who say that’s what they do when they don’t want you to know they’re scamming you. I picked up my vehicle and took it to another repair center. Todd’s auto in Lomira looks at it and said the only thing that was needing fixed was the heat shield that the Russ Darrow tech bent. Todd’s bent it back and didn’t charge anything to look at my car. Makes me wonder if I needed to pay $2000 for the original issue. My car has been fine since. It’s sad in this economy that people are still getting scammed by these dealerships. Nobody has $2000 sitting around, so that was a big chunk of change for me. Do yourself a favor and support your local mechanic. I want nothing to do with this business including buying a car. More
Had oil changed and they told me I had a cracked oil pan. Replaced it but messed up on repairing it. One month later my ignition switch failed then realized there was a bad oil leak, with no oil light coming Replaced it but messed up on repairing it. One month later my ignition switch failed then realized there was a bad oil leak, with no oil light coming on or oil gauge indicating problem. If my ignition switch hadn't took a turn then my engine probably would have seized. Had my truck towed to RussDarrow of West Bend and I told them I needed a loaner. "I don't have any" was what I was told by the service manager, so I went to Enterprise and had to have a loaner for two weeks while they fixed the problem. I asked the Service Manager, Peter for reimbursement of the loaner because it is their legitimate responsibility since the reason it was in the shop so long was because of their mistake. I have been waiting for a phone call since July 29th. It is now Aug. 23rd. I keep getting ignored and a whole lot of run around. Even called the General Manager (Pat) and left him two messages and nothing. Always seems to be "busy" or in a meeting. I was told by the service manager (when I went there personally to ask what was happening with the situation) that they weren't responsible for the loaner and that he is still "working on the general manager" to get the reimbursement. I asked why are you leaving me in limbo? He responded, "What do you want me to do?? Call you with a 'no'?" I still am waiting for a response. I think they think if they keep ignoring me that I will go away. I bought two trucks from these ppl and extended warranties. I will never do business with Russ Darrow again. Especially in West Bend, Wisconsin. I am going to make sure everyone I know knows how horrible and unprofessional they are with the customer service. I am very disappointed and disgruntled. More
Worst service I ever had! Adam the general manager is a horrible manager who doesn't care about customer complaints. My vehicle went in for warranty work and they broke my doo Adam the general manager is a horrible manager who doesn't care about customer complaints. My vehicle went in for warranty work and they broke my door panel and told me it's $120 to replace. I refused to pay for something they broke and was told they would put the broken one back on. After 4 hour of sitting there, they brought my van back with a broken headlight seal and fluid in the headlight. The manager left instead on dealing with the issue and said he will call tomorrow. He called the next night after we contacted him and spoke to my husband. Adam refused to talk to the mechanic about this and refused to check security cameras. He made a comment to my husband saying he's a xxxxty husband to let his wife sit at a dealership for 4 hours. My husband told Adam he was at work, Adams response was yeah right, you probably don't have a job. Adam then said to my husband how it's funny that as soon as his wife noticed the headlight and fluid he was able to be at the dealership in 10 minutes. My husband was on his way home from work, in Milwaukee and when I called after noticing the headlight he came straight to the dealership instead of going home, since they already screwed us with breaking the door panel and trying to charge us for a new one. My husband kept telling him that he is the general manager and this is his job. The conversation ended with Adam saying he would not look into this situation and told us to take care, take care of our xxxxty van, and our xxxxty headlight!!! More
I have had sum bad experiences with the service department in the past. Good news. That was the past. Today is the present. The service advisor Katie was very easy to do business with. Made you fee department in the past. Good news. That was the past. Today is the present. The service advisor Katie was very easy to do business with. Made you feel like a valued family member of the Russ Darrow family. Price for 4 new tires with alignment was very competitive. True reason on why Russ Darrow got my business was being fair and non judgemental. Showed empathy and care for both vehicle and my needs as well. Give Russ Darrow Jeep another look for both Sales and Service. More
