I pre-purchased my service when I bought my new car. I was in for my 25K maintenance. Mario (Service Manager I worked with) was great - timely, upbeat - a true professional. My wife is black and her Toyota broke down in Golden Valley so we had it towed to Rudy Luther Toyota on Tuesday (8/3) evening. Thursday (8/5) we called to see about a possible trade-in where we were inf Valley so we had it towed to Rudy Luther Toyota on Tuesday (8/3) evening. Thursday (8/5) we called to see about a possible trade-in where we were informed that the car needed a new alternator, and the service order had been cancelled, and given a price for the trade-in ($3,500 vs KBB $5,500). We still had not been contacted by the service department at this time. When we called the service department Friday morning (8/6), we were told that they still had not found someone to test drive the car (of course not, they cancelled the service order without talking to us). At this point we had enough and told them we were not interested in doing a trade-in at this time. 2 hours later, they call us and tell us they test drove the car ($160 for "diagnosis"), and the alternator needed to be replaced for a cost of about $1,200.00. We called our local mechanic and he told us he could do it for $600. We also noticed that skid button on the center console is now bashed in. We will never be back. More
