Matt Gilbert is friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. I have purchased/leased 4 vehicles from Mike and this dealership. Mike and his sales manager are definitely in a league of their own, even within this dealership - honest, helpful, personable, easy to ta dealership. On more than one occasion they've put together deals for me that were exactly what I needed. The waiting area is clean, pleasant, has free (nice) coffee, soda and usually cookies or doughnuts, as well as free wi-fi and a big screen TV. They also wash you car for free every time you take it in for oil or service. I do have one issue with this dealership though - for the first three times I purchased there I could negotiate a good deal (Mike's vehicle price was already fantastic, but, for example, instead of paying $750 for paint, interior and rust treatment, I got it for $200) but NOW Mike tells me they have a "no haggle" "fixed price" policy. That meant, on the last vehicle, I did NOT get the extra treatments I wanted, because I consider the price demanded excessive. Now, to me, all that says is the dealership just wants to make more money out of me - what do I get out of the "policy"? Nothing - I can only lose out! Tell me, if you can, any other $30,000-$50,000 purchase where the seller REFUSES to negotiate price with a loyal customer!? What's the point of being a Toyota "VIP Tier 1 customer" if it doesn't get you anything? I really do like Mike and the dealership - In fact I just spoke with him last night about the upcoming Scion FRS/ Toyota FT86 I am interested in - but with another dealership 75% closer who WILL cut me a deal... Horribly rude, and not willing to work with out of state buyers at all. Will not hold a car with a deposit, even if you are 100% certain you want to buy the car. Back in 2008 i was shopping for a corolla but i wasnt happy with the dealer, this guy didnt help me as much, i forgot his name but when i went to visit this may of 2011, he was still at the dealer but i happy with the dealer, this guy didnt help me as much, i forgot his name but when i went to visit this may of 2011, he was still at the dealer but i went to talk with someone else which is Jay Barnard. the other guy that i didnt know his name was lazy to take my request for a price check for my trade back in 2008... so I left and end up buying a honda civic that year of 2008 and was very please how Honda treated me. But this year May of 2011 i was shopping for a tacoma and i was very pleased with the help of the dearler's Jay Barnard and La Vang's help that I end up buying my first Toyota vehicle, a Tacoma 4x4 sport TRD double cab price at $31,274. I guess it depends on a person,, Jay and La saw me and respected me as a minority person since i'm a person of color.. the other person before looked at me differently as if i didnt have money to buy a vehicle thus making him not help me.. in my opinion. Jay and La saw me as a respectable buyer and treated me evently like any other white customer maybe? More
