My experience with Rudy Luther has been poor throughout. They failed to follow through on deliverables they had in connection with my car purchase. They not only failed to do so but their people tried to pretend like no deliverables were promised. I bought a certified used car from them. They claim they go over certified cars carefully through an inspection to make sure it meets certain standards. Either they aren't thorough or they failed to do so on this car. I had a warning light pop on not even 5 miles after I drove it off the lot. We also noticed they had twist ties and wire holding pieces of the undercarriage together - how can an inspection not catch this? The car also had less than the minimum tire tread and brake pad thickness required for certification. I ended up having to purchase new tires and brakes a few months later, which I would not have expected when buying a certified car. After that I've had a laundry list of items from the radio not working to serious engine issues that they haven't been able to fix in the 2 years I've had this car. They don't appear interested in making sure the issues are addressed and they've made no attempt to see that I'm satisified with my overall experience. I've noticed that even on routine maintenance visits they often fail to complete all of the service items I requested and the car is often not ready for pickup when they said it would be. I've had to explain these problems to so many employees there but I still get no improvement and no change in service. RL's only offer to address this is to buy the car back, but they'll pay less than what is left on the loan (and they financed it so they knew what that number is). I expected alot better in terms of quality and customer service from a Toyota dealer. I tried to resolve this with RL but they had no interest in doing so and they still haven't addressed the defect problems with the car. I don't like leaving a poor review, but felt compelled to share so those looking to invest in a car can take my experience into account. I could not purchase a vehicle from them again. More

So different from the old philosophy of not letting the customer leave the dealership without a deal. Once again, Rudy Luther Toyota in Golden Valley came through in customer service and quality. Mark and his crew stayed late to get me in for an oil change and tire rotation. They didn't have to. My car was completed faster then estimated. Everyone was friendly and curtious. Work was done well as far as I can tell, the wheels haven't come off yet. I bought the car (Corolla 2012) in the Toyota Clearance 2012 Period (just a week back) and multiple things happened: I was looking at financing a car with 5000 $ down payment. > My salesperson told me (a 2012 Period (just a week back) and multiple things happened: I was looking at financing a car with 5000 $ down payment. > My salesperson told me (after checking with her office, i presumed) to submit some documents to Toyota finance [for they needed to assess if I was eligible for a loan since I did not have a credit history (I am new to USA)] and if I submitted the document before 5 pm central time, I could drive home the car on the same day -- it was 3:20 pm already so my friend, who had referred me to this dealer, and I went running home to fetch those paper - and we asked one of our other friend to come to the dealer with us so we would be able to drive back both cars (i'm a nervous driver yet so i wanted someone to sit next to me while I drive back the new corolla) - we returned to the dealer's showroom just before 4 pm and found out that we won’t be able to take the car back since the office which were to review my loan status is closed! And we will find the status only on Monday afternoon. On Monday afternoon I received a new request to share my phone bill (as if there was different information on electricity bill - but well!). I received a confirmation that my loan is clear just before 5 pm on Monday. I was at the dealer by 6:30 pm to do the paper work and get my corolla. There the finance guy (don’t remember his name) was very good to me and told me quite a few things which I should have been told by my salesperson (but nevertheless I came to know before I made the payment). > The finance guy also told me something which disappointed me a lot more and I was on the verge of withdrawing my decision. here is what it was about - as per Toyota clearance add, I could buy a corolla with finance @ 0.0% interest rate for 36 months or 0.9% interest rate @ 60 months ... I wanted to go for the 0.0% interest rate deal. But Toyota finance decided to give me the loan only for 32 months saying that as per my visa stamping I would be in USA only for next 32 months so they could not pass my loan for 36 months (the friend who had referred me to this dealer has a Rav 4 on lease agreement from the same dealer for 3 yrs - his lease ending in Mar 2015 while his visa stamp is ending somewhere in beginning of Q4 2014 and we have some friends who have a loan (at god knows what percentage interest rate) approved for 60 months while their visa is for 3 years). how fair is that?? More
