Alternator Replacement My alternator on a 2007 Camry died on Thursday Evening. I was able to get an appointment on Friday Morning for mid-morning that day. The shop gave u My alternator on a 2007 Camry died on Thursday Evening. I was able to get an appointment on Friday Morning for mid-morning that day. The shop gave us a ride home and back when the car was ready that afternoon. It is the only car we have and we had several must do commitments on Saturday. We were extremely pleased with the service and the new alternator seems to be operating OK. The last time I replaced an alternator was on a white Corolla in 1985. There was room to take it out and install the new $50 part by myself in about a half hour. It was a shock to see the price of the part and the amount of time required to install the part. Great sales team Jim Kelly and Dan Wolff were both great to deal with. Cordial, polite and knowledgeable. Dependable and great follow up. The "manager" guy who came out to negotiate the deal on the trade in was flippant and actually said "dont ask questions" before he made me his improved offer. I didn't like the trade in experience with him. It felt like the kind of transaction you are trying to avoid with fair value pricing, where the customer feels like they are getting hoodwinked but cant explain why. More a matter of his attitude than anything else. I chalk it up to youth and being a medium sized fish in a small pond. I *did* like the finance guy who closed the deal. Je was professional and knowledgeable and efficient. Overall a good experience, almost entirely due to working with Jim and Dan. More
