I had a heat shield problem on my 2013 Ford Focus. I stopped into the dealership and talked to Mark Lange the used car manager. He sent me over to the service department and had one of the mechanics t I stopped into the dealership and talked to Mark Lange the used car manager. He sent me over to the service department and had one of the mechanics take a look at it. He promptly put the car on the hoist and fixed it right away. I went back to thank Mark and told him of all the dealerships whether it was GM or Ford, this is a top notch dealership. There was no charge for the repair. The service department was great. I will certainly recommend all my friends who might need a car in the future to talk to Mark Lange for a used car. My thanks again to Royal Oak Ford for fantastic service. Thank you, Bob Baker More
I left the dealership where I purchased my car 6 years ago or so and discovered Royal Oak Ford. Their service department is run phenomenally well with the best service reps around. Terrible experience. I have Ford tire warranty. My car was towed here. Took 3 days of me calling to get the tire fixed. When I did get it back, there was a rod hanging down under the car scrapping on that was towed here. Took 3 days of me calling to get the tire fixed. Should of skipped Ford tire plan and gone to Belle Tire, at least I wouldn’t of been without a vehicle for 3 days. More

Shawn was the best part guy I have ever met I was looking for license plate screws for my transit connect. Tried all of the ones sold by major autoshops and secratary of state and none of them w I was looking for license plate screws for my transit connect. Tried all of the ones sold by major autoshops and secratary of state and none of them worked. When I called different dealers, they all told me it's standard screws. The vehicle is manufactured in spain and uses a different screw, the bottom screws are wider and made for rectangular plates used in Europe. I called Royal Oak Ford and Shawn knew exactly what I was talking about. He went out to his prep guys and grabbed a set of screws and even asked if I need more. Best of all, he did not charge me for them.. More
Terrible Service I am just getting around to writing this review from my service on 6.27.18. I was and still am having synch issues. I made an appointment for 6.26.18 I am just getting around to writing this review from my service on 6.27.18. I was and still am having synch issues. I made an appointment for 6.26.18. This appointment was made 2 to 3 weeks before the service date (earliest I could get). I drop my car off when they open on 6/26 and walk home. They did not get to my vehicle and actually called cob requesting I leave it overnight. I say ok if the provide a replacement vehicle and they decline. I cannot be without a vehicle overnight so I walk back and p/u my vehicle. I discuss with them my expectation as I had an appointment they would get to my vehicle first thing in the morning. Next morning I am there at opening. I elect to stay and not leave the vehicle hoping this will provide some urgency. It does not. As a retired Ford engineer I am dismayed with this dealership. It is after 10 AM and they still here not brought my vehicle in the garage for service. At this point sometime around 10.30 am I make a call and get the Ford email for the VP of Ford Parts and Service. I send him an email on my experience and the fact I am still waiting for service to this VP. He must have read and responded quickly to my email. Approximately 30 mins later my vehicle is brought in. I am certain he contacted them regarding otherwise I would still have been sitting there. They open at 7 am. The time out noted on my receipt is 11.21 AM. Over 4 hours after I arrived. Synch worked for maybe 5 days after this then the same issues started. I wanted a new module under warranty but they said I did not need and just downloaded latest software. I have not gone back and will not. For people in the Woodward corridor I recommend Suburban Ford in Ferndale. Also am very happy with the Quick Lane at the Lincoln dealer on Maple in Troy. RO Ford was convenient for me but since I had to contact a VP to get my service done I will never deal with them. Also I paid over $100 for the software download that does not work. More

I have called four different places and all of the gave me an estimate right over the phone, so I believe that this is just a sales technique to get me in the shop, and once I'm there let me have it with every little nit picking thing that is wrong with the van in hopes selling extra services not really needed. Had my first service appointment months ago, it was a HORRENDOUS experience. It started when I could never getting a response from a service adviser to schedule an appointment. When I got there, I was told I would have to make a second appointment because they didn't have time to fix the molding issue (even though I told them when I booked the appointment), more so when I stopped in 2 days after buying the car about the molding they said, we'll just take care of it at your first service appointment. They will then ask you to fill out a survey, now don't be honest in your survey or they will refuse to service your car. I reluctantly called today to schedule another oil change and guve then a second chance and was told "after reading your review, we don't have any appointments for you". Don't ask for your customers opinion if you refuse to act upon them. More
