My husband and I had been working with our credit union for financing. We went into Royal Moore on a Saturday night and found a Honda Accord that we liked. We kept asking for a purchase order to give to o for financing. We went into Royal Moore on a Saturday night and found a Honda Accord that we liked. We kept asking for a purchase order to give to our credit union and they kept trying to get us to finance in house. We told them that we were getting an 6.99% rate and they tried to offer us an higher rate afterwards. After wasting our time and not giving us a purchase order, we decided to leave. We are met walking out and finally get a breakdown in price. $389.00 is takes on for Courtesy Guard. I explain that I do not want this, and they tell me it’s mandatory. I called on Monday and again requested the purchase order, they responded via email that they would be doing the financing in house. I responded that I preferred to go through our credit union and they then asked me for my loan officer information. Thinking that I was finally getting a PO sent, I emailed a picture of the loan officer’s business card. I later learn Nick (the sales manager) called the my credit union loan officer and encouraged the credit union not to do the loan so they (Royal Moore) could process the loan. Let that sink in…calling my financial institution to try to get the loan!!! I then get another email asking me if their Royal Moore manager reached out to my credit union. I responded yes and that they tried to bully the credit union into processing the loan. Omid, the General Sales Manager calls me the next day. I call him back and he denies the shady practices and summarizes that I’m misinformed just a big misunderstanding. They were just trying to process the loan thru their CUDL system to make it easier. They just called the credit union to try to get the deal to go through. Omid keeps arguing with me and lying. I tell him to keep the car and hang up. He calls me back and lectures me on hanging up on people. Complete nut job! I tell him that I’m not going to argue in circles and to keep the car. 15 minutes later, I get a call again from my credit union to try to smooth over situation. I’m assuming Royal Moore called them again and tried to cover their dirty practices. I let the credit union know that they had been nothing but helpful, just some shady practices from Royal Moore. More
