Service with an honest smile I bring my Chevy Equinox to Cole Athouguia for my service needs. The Chevy dealer here is a nightmare to deal with, but Cole at Kia is a gem. He always calls me to confirm my appointment, is waiting and greets me with a smile, and even when I need unexpected maintenance done he presents my options in a way that is no pressure, no hassle, "just the facts ma'am". It makes my life so much easier. Also, my car was filthy from a road trip when I brought it in for my oil change, tire rotation and alignment. Cole gave it back to me sparkling clean inside and out - something I didn't ask for or expect, but was pleasantly surprised to receive. I'd recommend Cole Athouguia to anyone as your service advisor. He is top notch. More

I could either stay in the waiting where there were complimentary snacks and coffee along with charging ports for electronics, comfy seats, big screen TV's and magazines, or they could get me a ride to the mall if I would like. I opted to stay in the waiting area. 1.5 hours flew by and I didn't even realize till Matt came and let me know that there had been a little bit of a backup this morning and that my car was getting washed and I would have it shortly, 30min later he came back and said my car was done, he went through everything with me and escorted me back to my vehicle. I loved the fact they did not try and sell me on other services that were not needed at every turn like other places I have taken my cars in the past. More

Especially when he already knew I was unhappy he made no attempt to try to make my experience better. I continue to come to Royal Kia for the quality work, reasonable prices and the customer service I had received from other advisors with the no pressure/ hassles free experience which was quite the opposite experience with Carlos. Oil drain plug Went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. They left my oil drain plug lose causing the vehicle to lose all the oil. I had to have the car towed in and have the engine replaced. I have worked in dealerships in the past and know how things work. They also changed my address so when i got a survey it would go to the wrong address and i couldn't respond......Well now 2,000 miles with new engine i have 2 coolant leaks that the dealership wants me to pay for. Love my Optima but this dealership continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth.....My son also owns a Kia and they did a recall on his car and never finished while leaving tools under the hood that were falling out while he was driving down the road....Be very very careful people. More
Bad Customer Service I had a question about my vehicle based on a problem I was having. The owners manual didn’t state where the fuse was for the left headlight. I am capable of changing a fuse but it’s difficult when the manual isn’t specific. Without hearing me out, he wanted to charge me $65 For a diagnostic test. I didn’t see the need for a test because I already knew what the problem was. I could understand if I asked them to check the fuse, but all I asked for was which fuse it was. I went in to speak with him and he was on the phone and wouldn’t make any eye contact with me. I asked for the head manager, Raul, and conveniently he was out of the shop. I went to the Jim Click Kia and they were happy to help without giving me a hard time. More
Worst customer service ever On Thursday 09/13/2018 I brought my 2012 Kia Sedona to Royal Kia because the transmission was clunking between 1st and 2nd gear. I purchased the vehic On Thursday 09/13/2018 I brought my 2012 Kia Sedona to Royal Kia because the transmission was clunking between 1st and 2nd gear. I purchased the vehicle from them and did the 60,000 mile transmission service there. The following day I was told by Carlos Elias the stop mount needed to be replaced. They had to order it but the repar would be complete on Tuesday 09/18/2018. I was also told I could use the vehicle to get to work and bring it back Tuesday morning. I picked it up but returned it after driving a few blocks because it was now dropping out of gear and felt like a sledge hammer was banging on it when shifting. I told Carlos I thought it was more serious than a mounting bracket and he assured me the mechanic was really good and would know if it was more serious. He again promised my vehicle would be fixed on Tuesday the 18th. On Tuesday I was told the transmission had to be replaced and the warranty forever would not cover it because I had another company change my engine oil. I was told the transmission would be there on Thursday the 20th and installed on Friday the 21st. On Friday the 21st Carlos Elias called and said the mechanic ran out of time and would have to finish my repair on Monday the 24th. When I called Monday morning I was told by Brittney that Carlos couldnt come to the phone but my repair would be done in about 3 hours and that Carlos would call when it was ready. 7 hours later I called Carlos to ask about my vehicle. He put me on hold. When he returned he said the mechanic took it upon himself to put my repair on hold so they could fix another vehicle instead. I reminded him that they have had my vehicle since the 13th and asked if the other vehicle had been there longer and if that is why it was given priority over mine. He said no. They fixed that one first because they thought they could do it quicker. I now had to wait until late afternoon on Tuesday the 25th for my vehicle. I also had to return again because the front allignment was off after the repair. At my previous job if a repair or install was messed up this bad they would take 20% off the total bill. My bill was just under $3000. Carlos took off $150 which is not much considering they charged me $45 just to create the repair order and $202 for a mount other dealers had listed fle $118. I sent a letter to their Consumer Assistance Center because I didnt feel enough was done. They called me a month later and said they were going to forward my letter to the dealership but didnt think they would give me a partial refund. They were right. The only letter I have gotten from Royal Kia is ove saying they will give me $500 above the market value for my current vehicle if I trade it in for a newer one. They are not willing to give me $500 to make up for the terrible customer service and this was not the first time. I will never set foot on this property or any dealer in the Royal Automotive group.
