I anticipated purchasing a Toyota Tundra based on the Toyota quality focus and the retained value but was dissatisfied with the ride on the highway. I liked the Ram but was a bit concerned about their less than great quality legacy, The Ford was uncomfortable for the driver due to door design and I was ambivalent about the aluminum construction. We were left with the Chevrolet and GMC offerings. Their trucks are almost identical, they both use the same old price game somewhat unique to the automotive industry and the decision came down to who you wanted to do business with and we chose Royal because of their salesman, Sam, and even left a few bucks on the table. More

Poor Service - Did not Honor Quote - Overcharged I had been a customer of Royal Volvo for over 10 years. In total, I have bought 3 cars from there and always had them serviced at the dealership. Not I had been a customer of Royal Volvo for over 10 years. In total, I have bought 3 cars from there and always had them serviced at the dealership. Not any more. My daughter (20) brought her Volvo to get a quote for a scratch on the door. She talked to the service manager and got a verbal quote. Little did she and I know that the "service" department is different from the shop and that for "shop" services they will not honor verbal quotes. This is the standard procedure for the service department - and the process is the one I had used for years. She then brought the car for another services that required body shop work - this time, she got a written quote and they still charged her over $100 extra. We demanded a refund, it took a while but we finally got it. They were extremely rude, first to her and then to me. I asked that the GM call me and stated that unless he did, I would not be coming back. He never did. They lost a customer for ever - not just the dealership, but VOLVO as well. If I were Volvo, I would drop them as a dealership. Two months later, I bought a new car, a Mercedes M350, from Greg Melbo at Mercedes-Benz of Huntsville - best service ever.
