We are very disappointed with this dealership, we called about a 2019 Mazda 3 base model. It had just over 12 thousand miles so we thought it would be a great car for our son. We called and spoke to called about a 2019 Mazda 3 base model. It had just over 12 thousand miles so we thought it would be a great car for our son. We called and spoke to Peter the general sales manager, he was very nice on the phone gave us information then put us over to Miles our sales person, again very nice on the phone we DID ask if the car was all SCRATCHED up or had dents, we were told a SCRATCH or two but we are going to take care of it for you. We said great and that we didn't want to drive 2 hours round trip for nothing we went. We got there the car was all SCRATCHED everywhere hood, trunk lid, doors, bumper ALL OVER. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF THEM MISLEADING US DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. More
This dealership sends SPAM emails. They refuse to remove me from their SPAM email list after I have told them to remove me over the last six months or so! I do NOT live in NY which means they BOUGHT my emai me from their SPAM email list after I have told them to remove me over the last six months or so! I do NOT live in NY which means they BOUGHT my email from a spam list or someone FRAUDULENTLY gave them my email. Either way, they REFUSE to still remove my email. They are breaking the law according to OHIO SPAM laws. If they break the law for something as easy to not break as this, what else are or do they do that is against the law? More
I purchased a new Mazda3 at Route 9 Mazda of Poughkeepsie, NY in May 2021. I am a car guy and very "particular" about the car buying process. All staff at Route 9 Mazda made me feel that they understood my specific needs. They gave me space and time to get acquainted with the car (without “hovering” over me). Product Specialist (Salesman) Anders supported me throughout the day. He coordinated some requests I had with the service department. When I mentioned as an aside that my phone was running low, he immediately offered me his personal charger. Communication with the dealership was seamless. Before traveling two hours to Poughkeepsie (due to very limited local inventory in NYC), I called Route 9 Mazda to verify if the vehicle of interest was indeed available, what the current actual mileage was, and which tire brand had been installed (I prefer Bridgestone rather than Toyo). The car was checked and my questions were answered within just a few minutes (here in NYC, most dealers have lots off-site and cannot provide such information expeditiously.) The General Sales Manager Jamal oversaw my experience from beginning to end. He made arrangements for me to be picked up at the Poughkeepsie train station (as I no longer had my previous car). He was constantly accessible via text, from the evening prior (when I had questions about the dealership), to very early in the morning (when I wanted to confirm I was on the train), to the evening following my purchase (when he reached out to thank me). The finance/business office portion was an easy, in and out experience. No upsell schemes. No surprises. Thank you! More
In July of 2019 my lease was up on my 2016 Mazda 6 that I had gotten from a dealership on Long Island but having relocated upstate I decided to turn it in to a more local dealership. After reading reviews a had gotten from a dealership on Long Island but having relocated upstate I decided to turn it in to a more local dealership. After reading reviews about the closest to my location I decided to go a little further and made my way to Rte 9 Mazda. I was comfortable with my 2016 but this time wanted to purchase rather than lease and also wanted to upgrade from the sport model. They happened to have exactly what I wanted on the lot. One of the extras which wasn't exactly on my list of "wants" was an after market remote start that happened to be broken. Jamal was my salesman at the time (congrats on your well deserved promotion) and I have to say he made the whole process seamless, fair and honest. He even arranged to have an upgraded brand new remote start installed at no charge. I can't say enough positive things about the whole experience. He was personable, knowledgeable, patient, trustworthy, transparent and went out of his way to help during and after the sale. Of course people will say "well that's his job", in response I'll say "then he does it well" and I appreciate that, especially since the car buying business that can be thought of as sketchy to say the least. Yes, people have negative experiences but that applies to most everything in life. I give credit where it's due and what this review reflects is my own personal experience with Jamal and the dealership as a whole. Being in and driving my 2016 Mazda 6 touring is one of my personal joys, she looks good, feels good and she can respond to this impatient old lady's lead foot, which is pretty much all the time. Hasn't let me down yet or gotten me in too much trouble 🤪. I'll probably hang on to her until the 2022 new 6 cylinder comes out. You can be sure I'll be heading to Rte. 9 Mazda for a test drive!! Update: After a bumpy start, Mike Smith, the General Sales Manager went above and beyond to fix some problems I encountered. I'm very grateful to him for how he handled the situation. AVOID THIS PLACE Awful experience. Avoid this place!!! I chose to visit because they had 5 CX9s on their website. I emailed in the morning to make sure they had them a Awful experience. Avoid this place!!! I chose to visit because they had 5 CX9s on their website. I emailed in the morning to make sure they had them all on site and was told that all were available. I take the hour drive that same day and once I get there am told that they only have 1 CX9 available. That should have been my red flag not to trust them anymore but my wife liked the car they had available. We agreed on a price in the lot and I was asked to come inside to work on paperwork. There were other cars ahead of me but was told they’d call me with finance rates the next day. They called and since their rate was high (being that my credit score is over 775) told them I’’ll finance with my bank and I just need the purchase order paperwork to submit for the loan. They send me the paperwork the next day but the price of the car increased by $500! I immediately called and told them the price was wrong and was told because I am not financing with them, they need to raise the price of the car! The price I negotiated was never based on how I was paying! We agreed to a set price before they even asked how I was paying. I complained on the phone with the finance lady (who had a very nasty attitude from the beginning) and then was transferred to the sales manager who told me they have to make money through the financing and since I wasn’t financing with them they need to make it somewhere else by raising the price. After much argument, he said he can change the fee to 250. I was tired of the whole thing and agreed to it and asked him to send new paperwork the next day changing the 500 fee to a 250 fee. I wait all day for it and finally received at the end of the day with an ADDITIONAL 250 ADDED! So now we are 750 more than we agreed upon! His reasoning? It includes dealer fees that I supposedly knew about from the very beginning. Not once were these fees ever mentioned and if they were legit, why wouldn’t they be included in the first official purchase order I received? What an unprofessional, dishonest dealership. They lie and cheat you every possible way they can. Based on their previous lies, I have a good feeling they would have lowered the value they gave me on paper for my trade the day we picked the car up as well. The process of picking the car and agreeing to a price was easy. After that, it goes downhill quick with their lies. AVOID! More

I was also due for an oil change and tire rotation so I figured I would just get it done there. There was also a rust spot that was starting to form on the wheel well. Jamie went above and beyond to show me that the dealer who sold it to me covered up body work that did not appear on the carfax. Jamie was very transparent and clearly knew what she was talking about. I will now go there for maintenance on my Mazda from now on. By far the best service writer I have ever dealt with. More
