Bad Credit & in a Jam?! Route 44 Hyundai can help! Bad Credit & in a Jam?! Route 44 Hyundai can help! Yesterday April/2/2014, My Father and I walked in to Route 44 Hyundai hoping to get a quote done on my trade in to see if it would even be worth a trade. My father and I walked around the parking lot for a few minutes much to our surprise we were not surrounded by shark circuling by sales men, We ended up going inside, with my credit I was thinking a used Hyundai Elantra that if i could even get approved thats what id get approved for. No! We walked in and met with Kyle L. He asked me what I was looking for in a car, I told him i need something safe, both my vehicles needed were older and needed alot of work, I have a two year old son and I needed something that will be safe for him. I needed something dependable and good on gas right away he suggest the elentra I was happy we were on the same page! After sitting down and talking to him about my credit My dad (who is amazing for supporting me and helping me when i got too anxous!) Asked if there was a way we could find out if I would even get approved before I got my hopes up, Kyle was very professional and had a finance manager run my credit and see what we could do. When Kyle came back he actually made me laugh because he said " we can get you into a car but it would probably have to be a new 2014" Like I would be sad to get a BRAND NEW car lol. I was so happy so we test drive a Harbor Gray 2014 Elentra with 11 Miles on it! After we test drove it, Kyle had be do some paperwork and we waited a little but for the Finance manager, Long story short My BRAND NEW Sexy, yet 2014 top Safty Pick Vehicle of the year is in the drive way. I literally hugged Kyle, in no way did I think I would be driving away in a new car. I want to Thank Everyone at Route 44 Hyundai who made this Happen. Kyle for listening to me stressed out over thinking id not get approved, and for just being a really sweet professional sales man! More

Everyone I dealt with at Rte. 44 hyundai was great. Kyle lapre did everything he could to get us helped.I told him what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay and they made it happen. They weren't pushy lapre did everything he could to get us helped.I told him what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay and they made it happen. They weren't pushy like you expect a lot of car salesmen to be. Great experience. Both cars in our household have been purchased there and we would definitely reccomend to our friends. More
Dale was friendly, very helpful and for a change... honest. Deal did not go through but because of factors beyond his control. I would recommend this dealership if you work with Dale (just my personal honest. Deal did not go through but because of factors beyond his control. I would recommend this dealership if you work with Dale (just my personal experience). My issue is that I did not have the title for my trade. Management from the dealer required that I give them a check for the amount they were giving me for the car (totally understood). I was not desperate for a new car so I was ok waiting the 2 weeks or so and then go back after receiving my duplicate title. The problem here was when I informed Dale that if that was the case I was not going back to the dealer as scheduled and was going to wait 2 weeks he told me that management approved the deal without the tittle. They were able to check there was no lienholder but used car sales manager came back wanting a check I honestly forget his name but that is irrelevant as he was easily forgetful and not a factor on my decision. I honestly believe Dale was told that was the case/no need for title so I went there while the manager's intent was never to do the deal and just wanted to get me in. I simply detest dishonesty and cancelled the whole thing. I did get my deposit back without a hassle but to me it was indifferent as I was going to dispute it with my credit card company..so if you deposit any money down to hold a car make sure it is on a credit card. As practice the bank will automatically credit your account while going after the merchant for the money. Bank vs. dealer always works better then you versus dealership... One more thing, make sure the doc fee of 398.00 is included in your deal, it comes as a surprise at the end which they decided to take off right as I was walking out. I like to treat people with respect. Honesty and sticking to one's word is very important to me and if they had done that the deal would have happened. More
Where I commute to work we needed a vehicle with great gas mileage My wife spent days doing research of vehicles and dealerships so off we went to look at several manufactures (Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissa gas mileage My wife spent days doing research of vehicles and dealerships so off we went to look at several manufactures (Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan, Kia, Toyota, and Dodge...again contemplating all manufactures) and dealerships. We went to Route 44 Hyundai, Peter came out, introduced himself to us, listened to what our needs were (gas mileage, warranty, price range....bells and whistles for the wife), he showed us the Hyundai Sonata SE....needless to say we bought the car. We would recommend Route 44 Hyundai for many reasons 1) Peter was very helpful, listened, and stayed on top of every aspect of the deal. 2) We found every employee at this dealership friendly and courteous. 3) We talked to customers who were in getting service done to their vehicles...the service department got high ratings from them. 4) Very bright, clean, comfortable sales/service department...Peter also took us on a tour of the dealership introducing us around and setting up our first vehicle maintenance appt., in June. 5) Peters knowledge of the vehicle(s) was outstanding...he made sure before we left with our new purchase that we were aware of all features in the vehicle and programmed our phones. We do have to say that whoever rates dealerships we found that the ratings are incorrect...we went to many dealers and ones that got a higher rating we found them lacking in customer service, overall experience and pricing. We will definitely recommend and go to Route 44 Hyundai for any future purchases. More
I’d like to share an experience that I recently had at Route 44 Hyundai in Raynham, Massachusetts. I want to preface this by saying that I have never written a negative review of a business in my life. Th Route 44 Hyundai in Raynham, Massachusetts. I want to preface this by saying that I have never written a negative review of a business in my life. That changes today. In August 2013, I purchased a 2013 Sonata GTS from Route 44 Hyundai. It’s a long drive from my home, over 50 miles each way, but the price was good and I was somewhat swayed by the dealership’s claim that they are the “#1 Selling Hyundai Dealer in New England.” Another big selling point was salesman Fred Bailey’s declaration that the vehicle was a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle, which as defined by the Hyundai website, is “a high quality, low mileage vehicle in like-new condition.” It is put through a “comprehensive 150-point inspection” and includes the manufacturer’s 5-year/60,000 mile new vehicle limited warranty. I have discovered that while the car may be a CPO, the warranty doesn’t mean squat. Let me explain. As part of the sale agreement, Mr. Bailey agreed to have an automatic starter installed (my trade-in had one), two scratches removed, and the backseat fabric cleaned. I returned in a few days and was given a loaner while my car was serviced. A week later, I came back to find that the starter had been installed, but only one scratch had been removed and the backseat was still dirty. Days later, I returned and waited while the scratch was to be repaired and the seats cleaned. However, when the car was returned, the seats had been scrubbed but the scratch remained. I took the car home without having the second scratch fixed. Within weeks, I discovered that a dashboard auxiliary power jack wasn’t working. Once again, I drove the 50 miles to the Raynham dealership and waited while the jack was serviced. In mid-December 2013, with just 14,000 miles on the vehicle, I nearly had a head-on collision when I attempted to turn left on a snow-dusted major road – the car did not turn, but instead went straight. Fortunately, I was able to avoid the accident. I took my Sonata to a national tire chain, Sullivan Tires, where I was told that the front tires showed unusual wear for 14,000 miles. I replaced the tires and have not had an incident since, despite road conditions being far worse than the night of the near-accident. In February 2014, I discovered that the passenger-side headlight was working erratically – sometimes it would light, sometimes it wouldn’t. When I took the car to my local Hyundai dealership (Bill Dube Hyundai in Wilmington), they explained that the previous owner had apparently made an alteration to the headlights. Repairing the problem light would not be covered by the Hyundai warranty because the alteration was not factory standard. When I contacted Mr. Bailey, he expressed surprise that his service department had missed the alteration during their original inspection and proposed that I return to the dealership if I wanted the lights restored to their original factory standard. I told him that, while I wanted the lights fixed, I did not wish to return for yet another service visit – roundtrip from my house is 100 miles. Since I already had several problems with the vehicle in the first five months, I requested to use my local dealership for the headlight service. Fred told me he would check with his boss. Approximately one week later, he called to say that they would not pay another dealership to do the work, and that, since the problem had not been reported within the 90-day Massachusetts used vehicle warranty date, they were not bound to make the repair at all. He was very clear – if I wanted it fixed, I would have to pay out of pocket. When I expressed displeasure with this response, Mr. Bailey told me he would consult his superiors again. The next time I spoke with him, he said that if I brought my vehicle to their service department, they would not charge for labor, but that I would still be responsible for the bulbs, totaling approximately $120. I asked him: why should I pay for something that pre-existed prior to my purchase, and by your own admission, should have been caught by your service department. He reiterated that his dealership would cover the cost of labor, but I was on the hook for the (apparently pricey) bulbs. I was so dissatisfied with his response and my overall experience with Route 44 Hyundai that I have opted to pay hundreds of dollars more to take the vehicle to another Hyundai dealership. As for Route 44 Hyundai, their signage will never cross my windshield again. In closing, I will just say this… you know how in your neighborhood, there’s this tiny used car lot? It has something like twelve cars and a BMW that is oddly underpriced. There’s a shack on the lot, but you never see any customers or salespeople, for that matter – the place is always closed. You will get better service at that lot than you will from Route 44 Hyundai. Be afraid. Be very afraid. More
I went to the dealership and purchased a 2013 Chevy Silverado pickup, after the finance was approved supposedly. I got a call from Fred the Sales Manager to come and get the truck,. 2 days later I get Silverado pickup, after the finance was approved supposedly. I got a call from Fred the Sales Manager to come and get the truck,. 2 days later I get a call and they informed me that they didn't charge the correct sales tax amount and that they would have to go to the finance co. again and request more money and that I would have to resign all the paperwork again, I went after I got called and said the loan was approved for the correct amount and signed papers for the second time. Now I have the vehicle and 1 week after I signed again I get another call and now they tell me they couldn't register the truck because I owed taxes to the town I live in, I explained to them the taxes were paid and I have the receipt, I went as far as calling the town hall and was told my taxes are paid and that they would call the DMV and fix whatever was wrong. Later in the day I get another call from Fred and now he is telling me I am not financed and that I have to bring back the truck. (My question is) If I wasn't financed why did they go and try to register the truck then knowing that I am not financed. My option is they screwed up and they had to do something now and taking the truck was their answer to their problem, In the long run I found something better and cheaper and all the problems are solved because I WILL NEVER RECCOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY FROM THEM. They tried to pull a fast one over the banks and got caught. Beware of them and make sure it doesn't happen to you as it did to me... More
Brought my daughter's car in for new battery early January 2014. Service Writer cames back and said hoses were leaking and needed new ones. Agreed and was charged approximately $500 for new hoses. January 2014. Service Writer cames back and said hoses were leaking and needed new ones. Agreed and was charged approximately $500 for new hoses. Week later car is leaking anti-freeze. Please note that before this there was no signs of any leaking anti freeze. Bring car back, now needs a new radiator for $650. I truly cannot believe that I needed all the new hoses and then a radiator. I'm not a mechanic, so I cannot really fight this, but decided to write this review to warn people to be watchful of this business performing or recomending you have unnecessary work done on your vehicle. I own 3 hyandai's and can tell you I will never buy another one. They spend a lot of money on appearance and marketing, but not enough on actual car quality. You end up paying down the line to fix or replace the "cheap" material they use to build the car. More
They used antiquated hard-sell tactics and played silly games. They were not clear about anything. They provided evasive, misleading and, in at least one instance, patently false answers to questions. They games. They were not clear about anything. They provided evasive, misleading and, in at least one instance, patently false answers to questions. They were condescending when we didn't agree to buy the extra warranty. And that was the good part... once you've bought the car, any semblance of customer service goes out the window. In our case, they failed to send us the registration or the loan materials for literally weeks. Meanwhile, they didn't respond to phone calls and when we did get someone on the phone, we got the run-around. That would have been bad enough, but the car itself has been a lemon and they have been totally unresponsive about it. Again, they didn't return phone calls. We sent a fax: no response, We sent a letter by mail: no response. We sent emails: no response. I finally got the general manager on the phone and got him to agree to have the service department take a look. Of course, they didn't find anything - if they even really looked. And then they held the keys to my car hostage until I paid for the loaner car that I expected would be comped. I'm not sure which has been worse, the incompetence or the deceptiveness. If you don't have a choice, and you are already dealing with Route 44 Hyundai, my advice is to insist that they be absolutely clear and specific about every detail. Get everything in writing. Do not assume good will on their part. They want your money but they do not care about you or your experience. If you do have a choice, avoid Route 44 Hyundai like the bubonic plague. More
